This is such a fun spot in Battle Lake. Recently rebranded Little Bar & Grill this cozy corner…read morespot is serving up apps, sandwiches, burgers and plates with hometown TLC. Club sandwich, burgers are amazing and they have great beer on tap, sodas and mixed drinks. Their staff is super friendly and coached up a guy who wasn't a local as it was packed with people from the area!

It gives off the vibe of a sports bar but also a place to sit and have a casual meal. The fried pickles came out hot and crispy and they were wonderful! Even after sitting and munching on them after 5 minutes the ones that were still in the basket were still warm. The PB+J burger was amazing! It has a nice little kick with every bite you took. It had the perfect amount of spicy that wasn't too overwhelming. The BBQ wings were also very good! Cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of sauce on them. The cheese balls were really good but had too much cheese in each bite you took. The cheese balls were also much larger than what we were thinking they were going to be. Roughly the size of a golf ball. The service was splendid. There was one waiter and bartender working while we ate but you wouldn't have guessed that by how fast our drinks and food came out. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us, while waiting on every other table in the building. If you are passing through town this is definitely a place to try out!

The waitstaff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is your typical bar style family restaurant with booths and tables. Clean. We ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and the reuben for the adults. The kids got tenders, buttered noodles and kids alfredo with the shrimp addon ($3 for two shirmps). The food came out hot. The reuben was decent but the pesto chicken not so much. The kids enjoyed their food. I found all of it a little too salty. Again it was all fine and would have potentially been better if the salt was less. The fries were not that great. The chips were ok. Overall, we have had better experience at Stella's in the past so I can chalk it up to just this one time and would probably be back to give it another shot.

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and sat at a comfy booth. At first the service was great. I took one star off because our waitress disappeared after she brought the drinks; food was dropped off by kitchen staff, drink refills and to-go boxes came via a different server who took pity on us (waitress only came back after our food was boxed up to give us our bill). Another ding was the $11 lemon drop martini that was the teeniest size I've ever been served so it just wasn't worth the price. As far as the food, my husband ordered The Wild Pizza and he loved it. I tried a bite of it and it was extremely tasty. I went with the Cobb Salad and the toppings were all fresh and it was the perfect meal for a hot summer day.

The service of all the bartenders and wait staff was above and beyond 5 stars! I was seated where I could watch kitchen and I observed the 1 and only cook handle food without gloves (FDA recommends avoiding bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods) and boasted chicken is considered just that. There was a very bare simple menu so I ordered a cheeseburger and chips and he got the white chicken. I literally saw cook put the chicken in basket bare-handed and let my husband know that while he brought our order to window and I watch waitress bring over. My cheeseburger was well over-done as was the grilling of the bun which I ate some due to not having eaten and didn't want to wait longer, but the chicken was so overcooked that you could barely use fork to peel away a bite on the breast. When he finally got a bite, it was so dry that even dipping in ranch didn't help. The outside was very dark considered to other places we've gotten chicken from. Now, I was very impressed with the service compared to prior years at watermelon days, but the food was much better. I did see staff going back to try to help, so bonus stars for that. My husband did talk to owner who was very understanding and seems to really care about her bar and restaurant, and had 2 breasts remade but they ended up to be the same way unfortunately. Maybe for bigger crowds, have more people in kitchen the whole time so food is not overcooked for which should be discounted some to customers that do receive it that way. Next year we will eat at cafe or drive to Battle Lake before street dance.

The new owners are very friendly and my husband spoke favorably of the changes inside. (He picked up the order.) Said it would be a really nice place to watch a game, etc. As to the food. The chicken was very moist and hot, but for us it was disappointing as to taste. A little bland for us. We kind of felt the same way about the potatoes. The coleslaw was fine but nothing special. Chicken places are a dime a dozen in the area and there are others that we prefer. But I could also see why this option would be preferable to some people. We still intend to try the place again and try some other things on the menu and perhaps watch a game.

We decided to come back about 4:30 on Sunday, thinking it would be less busy. It was not! We were seated towards the back of the restaurant and could view the lake from our seat. Pretty cool. Our waiter was a nice guy and I ordered a Summit Pale Ale to start us off. No draft beer, OK. What do you want from a small lakeside restaurant in a small town? The place does seat quite a few people and the first thing you notice when you walk in is the well-stocked salad bar and bar off to the side. They are known for their broasted chicken, but I ordered 2 walleye fillets, and it came with a trip to the salad bar and I got a side of some of my favorite things ever, but you rarely find, fried chicken gizzards. I disregarded the salad and stocked my plate with tons of chopped olives and mushrooms and all the goodies. They had cold salads and chicken noodle soup that all came with my trip. It was AWESOME! The chicken gizzards came out first and were perfect! Not too much batter and nice and hot. Tater tots came with my meal as well. I mean come on. Who doesn't love tater-tots? I rarely get them, but they were delectable. The fillets were good size and a dip in tarter sauce and a squeeze of lemon made for some perfect fish. Unfortunately, I was STUFFED from my accouterments and could only have a few bites of my fish. It made for a great lunch the next day and heated up well in the microwave. Great place for a family dinner and good people all around!

This place was a little worse than expected for a dive. It's super dark inside and very dated. Our…read moreserver was super aggressive--coming up roughly 5 minutes after we sat and standing there until we ordered (and not really interacting at all with us other than taking our orders). After that, they vanished until they brought the check. Also important to note--They only take cash or check at this place. We started with the salad bar, which was really basic, but not terrible. My insider tip is to get the chocolate mousse and save it for dessert. It's really good! Our appetizer was onion rings and they were surprisingly good! Hot and not too heavily breaded. I got the chicken tenders and baked potato for my main. Chicken tenders were subpar and had almost no flavor. The baked potato was hardly even warm. Wouldn't recommend either of those!

The restaurant was spotless, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole visit a pleasure. But the real star of the show was the food! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, and it was absolutely delicious. The perfect blend of spice and flavor, (though I am very used to spice so it may just be me)and clearly made with fresh ingredients. It's definitely one of the best wraps I've had in a long time. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a clean, friendly environment, The Shoreline Restaurant is the place to go. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

There is outside, restaurant side, bar, and bowling side seating. We didn't really walk around to see how much seating there actually was as it was very busy and we found an open table so sat down before it was taken by another group as you are required to seat yourself/group. The food was good and we would definitely order everything again. With how busy it was we were barely checked on by our waitress which was frustrating as our drinks sat empty for some time. They did apologize for how long it took for our food to get out (15-20 minutes), but we completely understood for it being a Sunday and it was rather busy with little to no open tables. We do recommend this place to grab a bite to eat but also warn that certain times of the day it may be busy and may have to wait for your food a little longer.
