The food is the stand out in this establishment. When we were there, the place was full, and the service was pleasant. We had to wait a bit for our food, but both of us said the wait was worth it. I had the croque madam. I spend my winter months in the south of France and have had several of these and this one easily is in the top three of those that I've ever tasted. Flavorful and a pleasant portion. The next time I'm in the area, I plan to stop again and order something else. The ambience is small town café, but it is clean and pleasant. Not sure how this place has 5 stars. Food took almost an hour and then sat on the counter waiting to come to us for at least 10 minutes (I watched them ignoring it and honestly, 4 servers in this size place shouldn't be "over" busy). It was room temp. Food was decent though so if the service was worth anything I'd give it 4 stars. It was the first time in my life I left zero tip. I was a server for years so I'm very understanding of when things get hectic or are out of their control but I watched the servers LOOK at our food on the counter and lazily walk somewhere else for, like I said, at least ten minutes. 10/10 recommend! I'm from out of town, so I'm not familiar with every eatery in Fergus Falls, but I've sampled a few. Töast has all the upscale flair of a big city boutique-style cafe in downtown FF. The fare is light, well portioned, with a focus on the marriage of flavor and texture. Töast has one of those menus that are hard to choose from because there are TOO many good options. It's a try-everything-restaurant. I started with the hot chai and it was rich and spicy, my mushroom toast was a good balance of savory mushrooms and cream cheese cut by the sharp sweetness of the balsamic vinegar drizzle and the right amount of micro greens. The service was Fergus friendly, we felt so taken care of. Definitely pop in if you're looking for a sophisticated brunch with a friendly atmosphere and a good price point. read more

The food was delicious!! We had brunch meals and so tasty. We were greeted when we entered and our waitress was so kind and fast. I love the decor of this restaurant, so nostalgic. It reminded me of my grandma's place. And I love going to places that have homemade meals. The "toast" items are fantastic and so cute. It's not just plopped on a plate. Stopped in for breakfast on my call weekend and was pleasantly surprised for my first visit. Service was very good along with a great vibe to this cool little restaurant and coffee shop. The omelette was very good and the hash browns were amazing! Never have eaten greens for breakfast, but it was actually a really nice addition for breakfast. I wish this restaurant was located in Saint Paul so that I could visit more frequently. It is a fairly simple menu- focused on the namesake food, but more complex than the name would suggest. Though there are other items you can order, why would you when these Scandinavian style open face sandwiches on toasted bread are so delightful. Wow! Enjoyed Toast for lunch yesterday and couldn't be more excited about this (relatively) new restaurant! Service, food and ambiance was way above our expectations! Our server was very attentive, smiley and perky and checked in with us many times during our time there. The food was DELICIOUS . . . My husband had the special Burger of the Day (with candied bacon, blue cheese and caramelized onions) on a homemade bun with potato salad and loved it . . . We visited on their second day open for their soft launch and they killed it! Food was amazing! My husband built his own toast with pimento cheese and salami. He absolutely loved it and said he could've easily eaten 2! I tried the Caprese toast, which has a goat cheese schemer that's soft and flavorful. I loved this so much, the flavors blended so well and I'll be craving this until I can get back to have it again. Their coffee selection is great and even in training my breve came out perfect! (We went right before Church must of let out). We had the special French toast of the day and the only thing I would have wanted is the Compote to be warmed up first. Stopped by here for breakfast on a bike trip. I had the omelette of the day, which was mushroom and Gruyère and came with hash brown and a side salad. The hash brown were crispy and tasty and the salad was fresh and dressed just right. The omelette was done perfectly. I've been here several times and have NEVER had anything that wasn't delicious! Everything I've had I would order over and over. Love getting the specials because I don't know if they'll be available again - they go so fast! The coffee is outstanding and the quality of the ingredients used in the food is amazing.
