It has the best trekking gear and although I'm more of a couch potato Trekkie than mountain climbing trekker, I bought a great pair of boots for a trip three years ago that are still going strong. Mountain Design is the Valley is quite the store. It isn't big like Anaconda, but it has most of the clothing required for different environments. There are plenty of different styles of shoes to suit difficult terrain and they've got the good insulation socks to prevent you from frostbite. Mountain Design also stock some seriously insulated snow jackets, which can only be found at reputable stores like this in the Valley. Lots of tents set up with mattresses and the like inside too, so you can have a lie down and check out how it feels, or, if you're tall, find out if you have to crouch in the tent or not. They sell bicycles too, and have a bicycle service centre. Canoes and associated paraphernalia.. really, if you can do it outdoors, you'll probably find the gear you're after here. Even rock climbing gear; which is fortuitous seeing as they have a rock climbing wall in the store too. They have special members prices if you sign up, which can save you a bit of cash, and quite often some great sales too, so if you're not in a hurry for the gear, you can wait until it gets a nice chunky discount.

Only downside is the colour black for the cubby set so it does get quite warm inside with doors closed on hot days. We have had a few issues with missing packages in the mail and missing items from the warehouse but the team has rectified it straight away and have been easy to communicate with in a timely manner/ including on the live chat over the weekend. Overall very happy with an excited toddler that wants to play on it all the time!

Original departure was May 8 (2 weeks after the order was placed). Then I got a notification that everyting was out of stock and now my date is pushed back to the 18th... I had to reach out to get any of this information as I was expecting product to show up at my house and it did not. Now I am traveling and I am going to have to figure out who will be able to recieve the giant packages while I am out of town. This has been an absolutely horrible experience so far.
