Upon requesting proof of purchase I was verbally abused and told that I was like the other five or so people who go there every day and waste his time. Any questions or statements I made were met with an impatient, aggressive and demeaning response. My communications were eventually responded with, "Get out; stop wasting my time!" So I left... Due to this interaction this morning, I can not recommend this place to anyone looking to buy or sell firearm goods.

We came in here recently for a look around was I was really impressed by the range. They have reels, rods, jigs, lures, fishing equipment, clothing and of course fishing rods. The staff were more than happy to have a chat with my Dad and swap the odd fishing story. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience with a great range, helpful staff and although I found them a little of the pricey side, the prices were fairly reasonable.

I've only ever brought second hand items here, and I'm happy to report that the fold out army hammock I brought five years ago is still as good as new, and the beautiful wooden carved filleting knife I brought more than seven years ago now still cuts through things like butter (with the help of some sharpening ever now and then). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. You can trust them to set you up with all the bushy tools you need to go and make a go of life in the wild for a while.

I phoned around to a few camping and specialty book stores recently in search of a specific camping guide - ACQ was more than 10% cheaper than any other store I phoned. I arrived at Redcliffe keen to have a fish but after a few minutes of observing the locals at their spot it was clear that was short on some basic gear and knowledge. One thing I understood was that fishing is an activity for those with patience and a short temper to a noob like me. I was informed by one of these lovely gentlemen, that just up the road was a fishing store that would help me. Redcliffe (also known as Hornibrook) Bait n Tackle was a little haven of reels, lines, hooks, sinkers and a whole load of other stuff I did not know the purpose for, however the fellow that served me was genuinely nice and helped me understand what I needed and how to go about catching a fish. He taught me the basics on how to put a line together and gave me some live bait and showed me how to hook it up. Back at the jetty it took about thirty minutes to get my first bite and another to reel in my first ever fish. It wasn't that big, but I kept on until the sun began to set. Good times.
