I'm not a sports specialist. Pure generalist. Walking. Riding a bike. A pilates class here, a yoga…read moreclass there. As such I don't have need or want for trainers (sneakers) that are hi-tech, fan-dangled or give me wings. I've bought my last two pairs (including today's purchase) of trainers from this store within the Jindalee DFO and couldn't be more chuffed. It's a painless experience of walk-in find what suits your budget and aesthetic appeal, try on and pop up to the counter. There's help from the sales staff if you need it but they won't be clambering over you to make a sale (or at least in my experiences, thank heavens!). It's the simplest and stress-free transaction I could hope for. There's also a range of sports wear and a small range of sports equipment (goggles, balls and the sort).
My favourite place to buy work out clothes!! Always a great fit…read more I have been a lululemon fan for years and the James street store is great. While the price tag may look like its expensive I have pants and tops that are over 5 years old and still look brand new. The staff are all friendly and helpful. And don't forget the weekly free yoga classes. Make sure to get there early they can get crowded on Sunday mornings. They have a run club on Wednesday I have wanted to try, maybe this week.

Lululemon is one such athletic store that is tucked away on James St, plain and boring I hardly felt inspired to salute to the sun or jog 'round the block. This store sells sports bras, tanks, tops, shorts, jackets, hoodies and various athletic paraphernalia. (Essentially every thing you might need for yoga and exercisings.) But despite the range on hand, the clothes here are pretty plain for the price tags I saw. While the location and sales staff are lovely, I'd go elsewhere for my jogging garments.

I've picked up swimwear, goggles, ear plugs, roller blades, an exercise ball, and a yoga mat from Rebel Sport, and I haven't had trouble with any of them so far! There's also a huge range of sportswear and runners - my friend picked up some great Nike joggers. The staff are helpful and are happy to give you a lowdown on the products on offer. The store is massive so sometimes it can be difficult to locate what you're after, so don't hesitate to ask. And don't be afraid to give some of their products a try. Often they'll have a display version - for example, I wanted to try out some rollerblades and had a bit of a blade around the cycling section of the store. The staff didn't bat an eyelid. Rebel Sport also offers store membership, and you receive a voucher upon signing up.

There was a greek symbol of some sort plastered on the windows and looking at the type of clothing they sold, something told me it was a yoga store. It wasn't until I looked up the Carindale Shopping Centre list of shops, I figured the real name out. While I am a big fan of hot yoga specifically, normal yoga is fine too. I've always marvelled at the cool outfits you can buy, with material so soft I was scared to wash it, and this store has just that. Really nice yoga apparel, really nice yoga mats and accessories and it's definetely going to develop a following I think with a popular blog as well as online shop for other 'Yogi's' out there. While everything looks very pretty and nice, the price tag alone for a pullover jacket $108 was enough to scare me out of the store. There was another pullover for $118 and plain long sleeve (sweat tech) shirt for $68. So prices aren't for the faint hearted, and I have no doubt you will be buying quality as well for that pricetag. I think I will be sticking to me $29 Kmart Yoga pants for now.

The dresses look really comfortable if only I would be game to wear the picasso out... unfortunately i'm not, but i'm not saying you might not be! The prices are reasonable, the shop smells nice, the clothes look really good, and they even mend and alter clothing for a reasonable price with a great turnaround. The lady inside is really helpful and friendly and maybe in 10 years time it might be the place I buy all my stuff.
