I am uber picky about my hair and have no issue driving a distance or paying top dollar to see my ideas come to life. I've ventured into fantasy Hair colors and boy did I hit it out of the park finding Kat at On-Site! I stumbled across her page on Instagram a few months back and I have officially found my "Hair Jesus"! She is one of a kind and is truly an artist when it comes to all aspects of the salon process- cut, color, maintenance, care. No matter how off the wall my ideas are she knows how to turn them into a reality. We constantly bounce ideas off of each other and she always comes up with styles and dye jobs that consistently receive compliments. I have been looking for a good place to get my haircut since moving to Orlando about 2 years ago, and I finally found that place yesterday at On-Site Studio. Mickey did a great job listening to what I wanted and did a fantastic job giving me a men's haircut. The studio is very clean, easy to find, and they have their own parking lot which is a big plus in College Park. My experience here was amazing. The staff overall is very friendly and courteous, offering you something to drink as soon as you walk in the door. My hair was cut by Nic who took his time to carefully cut and transform my hair. His attention to the little details has made him my favorite. Mickey and Kristen are running a solid place. I had the opportunity to come across the salon when I accompanied my better half a few weeks ago while she was getting a haircut. I had recently moved back to the state and she had recently lost her stylist so we were both eager to find new quality folks to cut our hair. I couldn't be happier, I am glad I decided to join her while Kristen cut her hair and I was able to meet Mickey. Last week during my appointment, Mickey was able to take a look at my hair and know exactly what to do, it has been a few days since my haircut and I couldn't be more pleased. Over the years I have found that it takes a really good quality professional to know what to do with my hair as it is very difficult to deal with. Thank you for taking good care of us, guys. The end result of my deva cut was unexpectedly disappointing. I visited the salon preciesly because it had received such great reviews about the quality of the deva cuts. The amount of product that was used to style my hair was unnecessary and ultimately un beneficial, as my hair lacked volume, moisture and definition. These traits were noticeably lacking upon concluding my appointment, which left my hair both dry and frizzy. The service was excellent and my stylist extremly sweet and delightful, explaining her process in great detail. When I expressed my doubts about the end result to her, she was very understanding and even provided her phone number so that she could follow up on the haircut. Unfortunately, I still left the salon disappointed, and regretting the deva cut all together. I do not feel my investment was worth it, seeing as hours after the cut my hair just continues to grow ever more frizzy. read more

After doing some research of where to go for my first Deva haircut, I chose Onsite and made an online appt with Mickey (based on reviews). However, the week of the appt, i was contacted and informed that he no longer accepts new patients. They then scheduled me with Kathleen. However, she ended up being ill and they then scheduled me with Larry. So, I don't know if I was 'squished' into his schedule or what but...... Larry was nice and informative. I'm going to get straight to the point. My total time in and out of his chair was 45 mins....that's it. One thing I was looking forward to in my visit there was to see how the use of the clips would affect my hair AND, of course, to see a final product (hairdo) when I left. Neither happened. He just seemed to want to hurry and get me out of his chair...nothing personal..just more like a productivity type of thing. No clips, no overhead dryer..my hair was still QUITE wet when I left. Also, as those with curly hair know, heat is an enemy of curly hair. In the maybe 3-5 mins of blow drying, he was using the High Heat setting...often way too close to my scalp and burning it..I shifted more than once to move my head from the heat and the pain. What do I think of his job of cutting my hair? He did a great job with that. I love how my curls are coming back and how my hair looks. HOWEVER, my Deva cut was not worth the $80 plus tip. Yes, I did tip and I did tip 20%. I'm not sure why I tipped so much. I just typically do tip the 20%.. In hindsight, I should not have. He had already made more than deserved for the incomplete service. He had even told me he wasn't going to take as much time with the conditioning because my hair didn't need it. He had good information and did a good cut. However, he did not deserve $96 for those 45 mins. He should have provided the FULL service...put those clips in my hair, send me out with dry, or at least ALMOST dry/finished hair. Don't try to rush me out and don't use High heat on my hair and even burn my scalp. Act like you actually would like a customer to come back. I am very flexible and not one to complain...I am also willing to pay for good service..but he should have charged me 1/2 of what he did for the service he provided AND I did not get the full experience that I had been looking forward to. read more

In response to @amilcar. Free extensions? No I paid for them ($274). In which I didn't get the ombré extensions I paid for. The coloring was what was free. And that wasn't what I had an issue with nor was asking to get corrected. I don't think a customer should pay extra to fix what they already paid for and should have gotten from the beginning! And basically what you're trying to tell me is that because I modeled for him in the past and got my hair colored for free that instances where I'm not happy with the outcome and that I paid for will be ignored? Just another reason not to spend money at your salon! The pictures you provided of me do not show how poorly camouflaged the tape-ins were against my brunette roots. When I finally decided to quit waiting on Mickey to fix the issue and go to another salon the stylists there were shocked by what they said was "poor placement" of extensions and the installment of extensions that did not match my hair. Regardless as to how you try and justify Mickey's work, he did a shoddy job, not to mention how rudely he spoke to me. Will never recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I had Britani do a deva curl cut on my hair and the bayalge on my hair. OMG! You have to go see her when you to On-Site Studio. She made suggestions for my hair, cut it, colored it, and it came out fantastic! She's super sweet too and definitely know what she's doing. If you want celebrity like hair go to Britani. I must say this is the first time in my whole life I write a review on anything.... I have curly hair, and I'm in the process of getting natural, like 2 to 3 years ago I had beautiful healthy hair and then I went to a salon and did some highlights that messed up my hair really bad my curls where really dry and weak and was braking a lot and was falling out, anyways out desperation a went to another salon and the lady recommended me a "smoothie" which end up being keratin, I lost my curls so I had to cut my hair like 6 months ago because they where awful, I didn't wanted to cut them again but I still had a lot of keratin hair... I got this salon because ultimately I decided to go natural to be honest Before like a week ago I didn't know ANYTHING about the Deva cut thing but after some research I thought that was the best option for me I wanted something that got rid of that bad, damaged hair O got but try to keep some length (since I have really short hair at the moment) Kristin did a BEAUTIFUL Job, when I got there today my hair look like a mop no lie, so the fist thing she did was talk to me listen what I wanted and suggest a way to go... I have to say that I LOVE the result even though I have a long way to go she did took off a LOT of that damaged hair and some how still manage to not make it look too short... I'll definitely be going back. And would recommend her to any person that has curly hair, she is trained and knows what she is doing, plus is very friendly. read more

Went to see Kristine for an updated color and new hair style. She took her time evaluating my hair texture and color to determine the best color and style. The end result was amazing! I heard of the Deva Curl Cut several years ago but was never able to find a salon I could afford, and eventually forgot about it.. I have super thick, wavy hair and have suffered from bad hair cuts my entire life. FINALLY, I found Kristen here in Orlando and decided to give the Deva Curl Cut a try.. I am so happy I did! She actually LISTENED to what I wanted and worked with me to make sure my hair would remain healthy. My waves are bouncing again and no longer lay flat a day after washing. It's difficult to find a good stylist that can work with dense tight curls. We searched through a lot of local reviews for salons before deciding to go with On-Site; especially because of their specialization in curly hair. Came in for a devacut for my daughter to get with Mickey. He spent a good amount of time going over the pros and cons of each style and how it would look and function. He was very knowledgeable about how each cut would react and lay. He made the appointment into a custom style for her needs. She's now more in love with her hair than ever. Absolutely amazing. For starters, the layout and structure of the salon is awesome- exposed brick?! My favorite. Then the stylists. Absolutely amazing. I have been dying my hair black for almost 10 years and Micky was able to give me the balayage style I wanted with the blonde and protected my hair, kept it looking healthy. After I got it done everyone wanted to know where I went. He spent so much time with me, making sure that he achieved what I was looking for. Needless to say- this is easily a 5 star salon. Went to this salon based on great reviews. Should've known better since most of the great reviews are for the owners. I needed a hair makeover right away so I decided to let them book an appointment with the first person available. People at the salon are nice enough. The person who did my hair was nice but the consultation felt rushed. I had highlights done and they looked terrible. Brassy and streaky. Multiple different shades of blonde all over the place. Different thickness of highlights from my scalp to the ends. Nothing was blended and it looked very unnatural. I asked to have some of my natural roots showing so that it would be less maintenance to grow out. Sort of like a shadow/ombre effect and showed a picture. He decided to simply foil a little lower than my root. My highlights started at a really awkward spot and just looked like they were growing out badly. The blowout at the end felt very rushed. I will say that the cut was decent. It was very hard to fork over $200 plus a tip for this. Way overpriced. It was so bad that actually ended up going to another salon for a color correction two days later. They did much better work and for a much better price. read more

I had a Devacut last month that was uneven, but apparently they all are. They pick up random sections of hair with no guide and cut your hair dry and then mop you down with products producing a crunchy helmet like curl. With no structure to the cut every one of these cuts are going to produce uneven haircuts. Search Devacut disasters and you will see my point. Do not waste your time and money on this cut is as it is way over priced. I wound up getting my hair evened out a week later after trying to live with it. I had hoped the Deva Cut would do something to help the curl formation, but it didn't. I sent Mikey (owner) an email about my situation telling him how unhappy I was and that I had my hair cut again showing him the receipt. Instead of offering me a refund he offered me a haircut! Who in their right mind goes back to have their hair fixed where it was botched?! Since the girl who cut my hair left the salon he told me to see her at her new location. I had my haircut at his location and paid $75 for a bad haircut, but he would not refund the money. So not worth it, but a lesson learned. I am a Cosmetologist and I know a good haircut and sadly the Deva Cut is not! read more
