I searched on yelp and was surprised to see there was someone doing mobile mechanic work. I reached out and schedule an appointment. They showed up on time with text updates when they would arrive and had all the diagnostic tools they needed to perform just like a dealer. They even keep many parts on hand in case there are surprises such as the spark plug change out I had performed yesterday I figured the car would be diagnosed and then have to be rescheduled after parts were gathered....he said I have them on my truck took him 35 minutes he was done and on his way and my check engine light went off. Convenience is huge for me however if I had to take my car to a shop to have them work on it they would still be my go to. After seeing the service sticker shock for a recommended full replacement of hoses (plural) coming in at just over $3K for a single leaking hose by the BMW dealership, I started searching for an alternative. I visited a non-dealership BMW shop and they were not very accommodating - they wouldn't even review the video I sent that I received from the dealership showing me which single hose was leaking coolant. Then I found Ryan @ On-Site BMW Service. He reviewed the video and his first comment was that it probably just needs a new clamp for the leaking hose. He set an appointment through his appointment-setting platform, which gives you a heads-up notice of arrival time, etc. He showed up on time, reviewed the hose system, replaced the clamp on the leaking hose, and made a decision to replace 3 others. Peace of Mind knowing that my problem was solved for a FRACTION of the cost I was quoted. He knows his stuff and I will use him for all of my routine maintenance and repairs going forward. So, Ryan from OnSite showed up on time to fix a window regulator and door lock actuator on my 2001 X5, which he completed in about 20 minutes. He then removed an aftermarket disc changer modulator and wiring, installed a new wiper fluid pump, and diagnosed a cracked lower oil pan issue that was causing a leak. I know he is honest because I told him I needed a new ignition- and he tested it to determine I did not need it. No charge. Ryan is professional, timely, and efficient. The price was very reasonable. Ryan came right to my home, did the job in my own garage, and charged me the same, if not less, than what I would have paid at the shop. I didn't have to tow the car, or even jump it - he did everything. No dropping off my vehicle, leaving the car at the shop for service, and coming back - that can take the majority of a day! I work at home, so having my car serviced while I sat right in my office was a significant advantage to me. I was about 800 miles past when I should have gotten my oil changed but a really busy and unpredictable work schedule was making it nearly impossible to schedule and keep an appointment at a shop. I'm rather impressed with Ryan. He came out to my appointment on time, dressed professionally and was happy to answer my questions. I'll admit I was extremely skeptical of someone touching my car not at a dealership. Being that this is a 2016 X5, I had my eyes peeled on my car like a hawk through the window looking for any reason not to like the service. Again, I'm very skeptical. But much to my complete surprise he did the job well and cared for my car like it was his own. He didnt slam my soft close doors (which would drive me bat shit crazy). In all honesty he went above and beyond my expectations trying to figure out what was wrong with my tire sensor light being on. I had my BMW X5 sent to Arizona with my sister. She hadn't drove it in a while and everyone in Los Angles had told me I had a leak but couldn't tell me where it was coming from. Not only that the battery died and I could hear something going on with my belts. I googled a bmw dealer in Arizona and On-Site BMW service came up. I called Ryan and he answered right away. I let him know my issues and he gave me a quote. He came to my sisters house and looked at the car. He immediately new what the issues were and gave me a quote. He not only fixed my belts, my battery and my door handle that had broken off but was the nicest guy I had ever met. The car drove like a champ after he was finished.
