On Point Home Inspections was referred to my wife and I by our real estate agent. We met with a man named Brandon who is also a firefighter. He was kind enough to meet with us in a very quick fashion after completing (what I am sure was exhausting) a shift at the fire station. My father and my wife's father are men of a different era. Need new flooring down, call Dad. Need a new window installed, call Dad. Need some new electrical wiring done, call Dad. You need to understand today's technology, they call me. So fair to say that I am completely green and have no idea what I am doing in a home. Thankfully Brandon was our inspector who provided great guidance to my wife and I. He took the time out to explain concerns he had or answer our questions, such as how to service the water heater and air filters. Recommending a new vent on the roof for the dryer and explaining why. He was very personable and I could not have been happier with the service provided. Brandon came recommended by our real estate agent who uses Brandon often for home inspections and I am glad she recommend him. I was able to get the date/time I wanted, which was AMAZING since it was only 2 days after I called him. Brandon took his time inspecting our home and showed us things he found with the house along the way. He found things that are visible to the normal eye that my husband and I missed while looking at the house. He also found several things that my husband and I would have never found or would of known to look at. One of the most important things he found that I am so grateful for was our children's room's have French doors leading to our back patio. He brought it to our attention that the hinges were installed on the wrong side of the door and an intruder could easily remove them and get into the house. We will be able to sleep more peacefully knowing no intruder will be getting in to our children's room. We're in the process of closing on our first home, and our realtor had arranged with Brandon to do the inspection. They prefer to use him for inspections if they possibly can, and that's not for no reason. He quietly and competently explored the entire house in detail, pointing out stuff to us as he went along, where appropriate. At the end of it he carefully went through the main causes for concern he had, pointing out where some urgency may be required, and gave us some great general advice. The report was released electronically the next day, with lots of detailed photographs highlighting any cause for concern, along with advice and suggestions on how best to proceed. We were referred to On Point Home Inspections by our relator. We were looking to get our inspection done ASAP and Brandon helped schedule our appointment for the following Saturday morning. The inspection was thorough and Brandon explained as he went along. He answered any and all questions that we had. He emailed us the inspection report the following morning (on a Sunday). Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful. He took pictures of every discrepancy he saw during his inspection and explained what the problem was even if it was small and wouldn't need to be taken care of right away. He found evidence of some water damage under the sink and did everything he could to try and find out where the water might have come from by running the faucet (hot and cold), and the dishwasher then using an inferred device to look for the source. He was thorough with everything he looked at and he never clouded his report with things he saw in past houses. read more

After combing through yelp to find a home inspector, we decided to go with On Point Inspections. Brandon was able to fit us in very quickly. He arrived about 10 minutes early to our appointment, and was very polite and professional. Our inspection took about 2 hours and he took his time and went through everything.
