I'm crazy about this store and insist on stopping in every time I'm in Columbus. For paper junkies, there's nothing you won't like about this store, except maybe wish it was bigger! If you are a Rifle Paper Co. lover like me, you'll be happy to see they carry RPC cards, notepads and pencils. Other items they carry include artisan greeting cards, custom wedding invitations, notebooks and notepads, jewelry and pens. I think this is a great spot to pick up something for a friend or coworker and I do notice that they often have new items come in so I am never disappointed every time I stop back in. They also have a loyalty card which they will punch for you if you spend a certain dollar amount. I'd say this is a highly recommended visit for paper and craft lovers! read more

We ordered our wedding invitations here. We chose one of On Paper's designs and the price was very good. They turned out beautifully and everyone has commented on how much they liked our invitations. Now, it is possible they are just saying that since you're supposed to ooh and aah over all aspects of a friend's wedding, but since I love our invitations I'll take it as a sincere compliment and give the kudos to On Paper! Another bonus was that the staff were nice to us even after they had our money which has not been my experience with other wedding vendors. The experience with the staff when we picked out our invitations was a little odd. They are not over the top, which I appreciate, but also came off as a little cold. I appreciated that they did not attempt to up-sell us too much, but my fiance was expecting more high pressure sales. Maybe he was surprised because all other wedding vendors try to convince you of everything else you "need" to make your wedding day perfect? I'm not typically in the high end paper market and had planned to order wedding invitations online at one of those discount shops, but am very glad we went to On Paper. We got a great product! On Paper has THE cutest greeting cards, stationery and wrapping paper. The birthday cards always get compliments because they're so unique. They also have scrapbooking supplies and I believe they design wedding invitations as well. The staff is very friendly without being overattentive. A+! read more

I used to love this place and enjoyed stopping in just to browse. However, I will not be going back and will not be using them for my wedding, like I originally had planned to do. I have never posted a comment before and feel I need to post this and let people know the service that they can expect... I understand that everyone has a bad day, but during one of my busy work days, I quickly ran out to grab some last minute stationary and grab some info on wedding invitations. MISTAKE! My lunch was ruined when I casually asked for help and got nothing but snooty attitude (I had been warned about this prior but gave it a chance). I am in sales and I know that you must put a customer first. As someone who thinks it is very rude to be on your phone when checking out, this is the first thing that came to mind when my Mom called me while I was waiting in line to be checked out. As the lady in front of me was gathering her items and credit card, I interrupted my Mom to tell her to hold on or I could call her back. I thought this was the polite thing to do. The lady at the register did not even begin to take my items or wait until the lady in front of me had left before telling me to finish my phone call and step aside as she checked out everyone behind me. Like I said, I understand rude people who talk on the phone and it happens to be a big pet peeve of mine, hence why i was not going to do it, however she continued to be in a bad mood, assume I was a phone snob, and just plain rude to her customer whom was purchasing a fair amount of items. The embarrassment and continued rude attitude put a damper on my whole lunch break and left me feeling horrible. I am a hardworking, young professional who does not need extra rude people in my life, I deal with my fair share at work, so I do not need this when giving someone my business on my lunch break. So I will not be using them for my wedding invitations, won't give them my business, or recommend them to family and friends. While in there I also witnessed other people getting talked to and treated the same way. Talked to like they were dumb for asking for assistance. If you don't like your job, or are having a bad day, then please go home! Don't ruin other people's days or lunch breaks though. read more

Love coming here for quality holiday and birthday cards. It's crazy a paper store survives in the heart of the short north, but it does and it feels good to support it. I love this place! Closed Sunday and Monday, by the way. Went on a Tuesday morning and spent a bundle, but so worth the wait. They have whimsical, exotic, hard-to-find cards and paper so be prepared for a feast for the eyes. I got some Thank You cards from Israel and some little post-it notes for office buddies and some little brown cards with quotes from famous people that I post next to my office phone in case I forget to enjoy the simple things in life. We had our daughter's wedding programs done there on very short notice. They turned our beautifully except for a problem with the color of flower I had requested. I think there was an honest communication breakdown. There was a little tension but at the end of the day ON PAPER did so right by me! They redid the programs very quickly. They were perfect! I really did appreciate it plus they did not charge me which they had said there would be a small graphic art charge. I would have given 5 stars but I think they are a little pricey but on the other hand and I guess in my case I got my moneys worth. I've had the pleasure of working with On Paper to design my wedding "save the dates" and invitations and it has been a superb experience. It's nice and all that the store is "cute" and "adorable" but I went to this store for paper of a standard size in a few colors - a simple purchase, Not only did a store called On Paper didn't have this in stock - strange but understandable - the unhelpful person at the store didn't offer to order anything, and didn't have another place to recommend. I recently stopped by this shop in the short north and was impressed by both the quality and variety of products for sale. Being recently engaged, I found my way back to the books of wedding invitations. One of the sales women came over to me and my fiance and yelled at us for looking without an appointment. She chastised us and when I explained that another sales woman had said it would be fine she proceeded to insinuate that I was lying and essentially chased us out of the store, telling us that without an appointment I wouldn't know how to choose anything. If you're looking for wedding invitations, On Paper (in Columbus, OH) is definitely the way to go! After working unsuccessfully with a graphic designer to create our wedding invitation, my fiancé and I decided to shift gears. However, we found ourselves in a bit of a time crunch with less than one month to produce and prepare our invitations for the mail. I came across a design I loved on the StyleMePretty blog and saw that it was produced by On Paper. A little nervous about dealing with an out of state store (we live in NYC), we went ahead and gave them a call and are SOOO glad we did! My first conversation with Joan immediately put me at ease and gave me hope that all was not lost. Within 24-hours she supplied me with an email estimate. In less than five days we approved the proof and our invitations arrived five days later. From start to finish the process took ten days and more importantly, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Joan is knowledgeable, professional and above all, incredibly nice! She values customer service and delivered everything on time - early, in fact. She was responsive and sympathetic to our situation, which was extremely reassuring. I'm looking forward to working with these folks again to produce our wedding menus, escort cards and ceremony programs... and will no doubt find reasons to work with them in the future.
