I said, "I need to find a photographer in the Hudson valley or Catskills for a family photo shoot. Does anyone know anyone?" No one knew anybody. So, then I turned to Yelp, cause what else do you do? I reached out to 5 photographers...and from the first email, Denise stood out. She was friendly, to the point, and had a beautiful portfolio to share. Her prices were reasonably and she exuded a warmth and sincerity, even through emails, that was palpable. I booked her. When she showed up at our rental house to photograph all nine of us (ranging in age from 3 to 77) she was nothing but professional, friendly and gracious. She was on time (to the minute). And full of energy and guidance. Our hour of photo time went quickly!! it was fun! And, even though the youngest had a few minute long meltdown, Denise was not phased...and ended up getting some of the best photos during and after the meltdown. She edited and emailed the photos so quickly! And even got my hard digital copy in the mail super fast. The photos themselves are gorgeous, and there are quite a few we are looking forward to framing. I was nervous about booking her due to fears of getting lighting correct (various cultures, background, poor lighting conditions, weather issues) but my trusted friend had used her, I prayed about it and she was the most flexible person when needing to do an unconventional uncommon event package and pricing. I am not disappointed in any way. She arrived early, gave clear direction, gave her all, and my entire family loved her beyond measure. They all want to have her photograph events. She's able to beautifully capture all skin hues (even next to each other) regardless of lighting Conditions or weather. We had a rained out event, and truthfully you can not tell it was stormy and wet based on the pictures. The quality was second to none and it's the best photography experience I've ever been a part of, including being in a bridal party for many many weddings. I look forward to her being my go-to photographer for all events and sessions. I truly loved her work, and I remain grateful for the many ways her ideas, network, resourcefulness and spirit helped turn an awful day into a miracle.
