This is a comfortable retreat center I like to call my second home. The food is terrific! Many dishes are made straight from their garden. Judy thought of everything when designing her retreat center. Each room has 4 twin beds, a personal fan, light and alarm clock. Each guests has 2 four foot tables with comfortable chairs and electrical outlets to spread out their crafting supplies. People bring supplies for quilting or scrapbooking or whatever hobby they are working with. I take a group at least once a year and we can't wait to return! It's worth every penny. She stays booked all year so if your interested in going you might have to join another group. It's located between canton and Athens. If u go to Athens visit The Needle Niche for unique quilting fabric and great ideas and samples. If u go during first Monday visit canton.

We visit family in the area and most parks don't have concrete pads or any amenities but Chuck's does! Because it is new, not everything is ready yet, but there will be lots to do once it's all done. The couple who checked us in were super nice and the location is very easy to get in and out of. It is close to Highway 175, so you get a little bit of road noise, but not too bad. If you are visiting the area, I highly recommend Chuck's as your best option for an RV park.

Five stars for everything including perfect, honest descriptions on the website. Helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Full kitchen and nice A/C. Updated bathroom with nice shower. There is a TV with digital broadcast and a dvd player. New where it needs to be and antique where it should be. Our stay was serene amongst old farm buildings, a creek, small ponds and lots of wildlife. Nearest neighbors are acres away including a local cop (we heard) and a couple of farmers. Mineola is about 10 minutes away and filled our weekend with restaurants and small town shopping. We also hit Winnsboro, TX about 30 minutes away to view some of our old family's residences from back in the day. Being in the event business, I could appreciate how the proprietor took one of the large barns and turned it into an open air special event facility with lighting, small stage, bar, picnic area and a clean smooth new floor for catering, weddings, concerts and reunions. If I lived in that area, I would use the heck out of it. The coordinator or the guest of honor and family could stay on site in the cottage while the rest of the party could stay in town at the ever expanding group of hotels. I think it would be cool to tent camp with some other couples out here with the cottage as home base. (haven't asked the owner yet.)

Check-in was smooth. The hotel was hosting a wedding so the lobby was completely full and busy; however, the front desk clerk was still very pleasant and even gave me a room away from the large wedding party so that I would be minimally disturbed. Room is wonderful. Updated. Extremely clean, my UV wand picked up nothing on the bed. Vinyl flooring is always plus especially for those with allergies. Will certainly stay again!

This is seriously a lovely Hotel. It's actually worth a to trip to Lindale to stay at this location.read more
