My room was a king suite, and was exceptional, and nicely decorated. I had a very comfortable bed, desk, couch, two TVs, mini-fridge, microwave, plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. The bathroom and shower were very nice and included a hair dryer, soap dispensers, and all I needed. The closet had a full sized ironing board and iron. There was also a full length mirror. The breakfast was great for hotel standards. There was the usual cereals, drinks, coffee, but also fresh eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, biscuits, oatmeal, and more. The pool was closed for the season, but it looked nice. Other amenities include ice machine, guest laundry, exercise room, meeting room. There are restaurants and shops nearby. A Subway. Schlotsky's, and a Whataburger are about a 15 to 20 minute walk or a very short drive. Just a little further and there is a Walmart and more. I would definitely stay here again should I return to the area.

There were so many spiders on the door that the maintenance man had to come and brush them from the door so that I could safely exit the cabin. There were spiders inside the cabin as well. For my safety I did not stay overnight in the cabin and I asked the company representative if it was possible for me to get a credit towards a future stay since I was unable to stay even one night. I was told that I could not receive a refund or a credit towards a future stay per their policy. Not only did I have a full anxiety attack from the infestation of spiders but I lost hundreds of dollars. I will never book with this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

If you can get 15 people to pay in advance to attend one of their tea parties, that's your reservation requirement. I think you can do all that on their website. I also heard they have a Cabin on site that they will let people use and I'm not sure what the price per night is on that. I don't think they advertise the cabin either. There is an antique shop on site as well. I wanna say the price per person for the Tea party with a tour is $35 each. Some of the guests really dress up and wear fancy hats but it's totally up to them. I did dress up and wear a hat at my mother's request and it was fun. I took a pair of flats too, because there are stairs and you walk around the property so heels are not great for that. The Tea and tour takes several hours, ours was from 2 to 5 pm. My favorite part was looking at all the period furniture and decor in the house and the interesting ghost story from the upstairs bedroom. The food was fine but I kinda wanted something more filling. It was typical of a tea so I guess it was ok. We drank Tea, had finger sandwiches ( egg salad, ham salad, chicken salad) a scone with jam and some petit fours for dessert. There is one restroom for guests downstairs so you may have to wait a few minutes. Still it was fun and I would return.

Very comfortable queen bed. DVD player and a variety of movies, comfortable rockers. A small kitchen with a microwave and mini fridge, sink and coffee maker. A Very nice bathroom with a shower only with plush towels. There is a very nice front porch with 2 rockers to enjoy the evening , although you may want to have mosquito spray available. You can even enjoy a walk through the woods nearby. Very quiet and peaceful, a nice place to unplug from TV but still connect to Internet with a strong signal. You have the choice of a full breakfast or continental breakfast . We had one of each. Full breakfast of eggs, sausage, hot biscuits and cheese grits, at the main house along with a tour of same, which was interesting. Continental breakfast is orange juice and muffins in the cabin. We will definitely go again.

Subdued, tasteful, mostly utilitarian decorating instead of overload you see in some cabins or B&Bs. Hosts literally thought of EVERYTHING you might need, name it. An extremely well-stocked kitchen & bathroom & shockingly generous supply of edibles/drinkables/goodies. We used the chiminea (fat sticks easily gleaned from yard to feed it) & also the little grill, nice. Enjoyed the whimsical yard art, again, liked their tastes. There was even a bottle tree outside to trap bad spirits, must be doing its job, lol. Reception for Wi-Fi and cell good. There were CDs & DVDs & a player but the TV also had cable, so 7 channels, I think, hope you like old Westerns & Forensic Files reruns, we did. Of the few DVDS they had, one was an older fave of ours, The Good Girl, so great to see again. Was cool, rainy weekend so we didn't walk afield, maybe next time but then next time might order up another rainy weekend, works for us. A few times we heard a braying donkey neighbor some distance, didn't bother us, made up for not hearing or seeing much of the wildlife other reviewers talked about. Did see birds, squirrels and an armadillo. When I say hosts thought of everything, I mean it, no, really, you'll find every single little thing you'd ever need, plus books to read (finished one from home and left it & a magazine for the stack) & cabin had a binder of instructions about anything & everything inside the place (check it out, we found lots of crucial info in there) plus a roundup of local things to do, nice mentions of the very fine Caldwell Zoo & the Tyler State Park. We welcomed guidance on how to start shower (pull ring down from faucet, aha!). If I had to say anything remotely negative it's that the steep stairs challenged me as I'm recovering from an injury. But the bed at the top made up for it. What else. Well, it was just nearly too perfect & afraid we might have trouble booking it during later, finer weather. We'd gone there for the singer-songwriter series, this one for the insanely talented Jeff Black who performed at the Old Firehouse. We had to skip out of the performance halfway through & head home early, ever-on-call husband had sudden work obligation pop up so we didn't get all the good out of Edom, our cabin & the concert, but we still left happy.
