Throughout the planning phase, they were quick to respond to my many emails/calls, and kept me updated as they filled the desired number of nanny spots needed for our size group. But the excellent service did not stop there. The individual nannies who were assigned to our group reached out to me before our event and kept in communication with me throughout the event. I booked childcare for an event I was hosting through On Call Nanny and I was so pleased with their service! They were able to accommodate my request with only a few days' notice and the nanny got in touch with me directly when she accepted the booking. She showed up early, gamely looked after a few more kids than I had originally anticipated (including catching one of our 2-year-olds barreling toward the street - thank you), and stayed until the last kid had left. Very impressed with On Call Nanny, Michelle H. in particular. My husband and I needed a nanny for a three-month period and called all the prominent local agencies for help. OCN was definitely one of the most responsive and consistent in their follow-up, and after speaking w/ Michelle, we knew we'd found our agency. Organized and attentive and readily available via phone and email, Michelle gave us detailed explanations every step of the way, including making sure we fully understood all paperwork/contract components we were given to sign. She also found us a kickass nanny--and in fact, her judgment and understanding of my husband and me and our needs were so spot on that we ended up going w/ the first and only candidate we interviewed. We have been using OCN services periodically for 16 months now to cover the gaps when our au pair is unavailable. The ladies at OCN are very helpful when you call, respond promptly, and are very professional. The nannies that have sent out have all been experienced young women, many of whom have bachelor's degrees. This is not a fly-by-night operation. Wonderful, attentive customer service and a true attention to detail in hiring their nannies. We have used several nannies from On Call Nanny and each one has been very calm, responsible and caring. The company as a whole is organized and honest. The nannies write up a lovely little report of what activities they did while at your home (nice touch) and they give you a professional receipt (again, very organized and honest approach). We will not hesitate to call upon them again and again. It is truly difficult to find quality childcare, but they have put our minds at ease. We have used On Call Nanny extensively both for occasional sitting for dates and when our regular childcare provider was unavailable and for a 3 month stint while we were waiting for a spot to open for our infant son at daycare. We have used many of their nannies and found almost all of them to be warm, compassionate and to genuinely enjoy kids. My only complaint is that we weren't able to have a consistent caregiver during our longer stint of need and having different nannies every few days was stressful, even though each nanny was lovely. On Call Nanny has been able to book is with a trained, background checked nanny on short notice and our kids love "nanny days"! read more

Generally speaking, most of the nannies from On Call Nanny we met were pretty good. But I have a very bad experience with one lady who I hope I can remember her name. She brought a laptop to my house. I was working from home that day. Most of the time, she was surfing the internet, and let the baby laying on the floor by herself!!! When she tried to feed my daughter(about 8 month old), she was not careful at all. You can tell very easily, this lady is not friendly to the baby... I tried to report this to the company, the manager just didn't even want to listen to me. What's worse, this company put me in the blacklist. It was a really bad experience!!! read more

We have been extremely satisfied with On Call Nanny. Our family moved to Seattle from Los Angeles about two years ago so that my wife could accept a job at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We did not know anyone we could turn to for nanny/babysitting for our 9 year old son. Our neighbor recommended OCN for a full-time nanny placement. We were happy with daycare for our 2 year old, but wanted to transition to a nanny when our 2nd child arrived. We worked with Tiffany and ended up hiring the first candidate she presented to us. Our nanny is so loving and firm with the children. For example, I was at the doctor's office one day with our nanny and the kids, and someone commented to me how lucky I was to have a nanny who so obviously loved my kids. We've also used OCN for last minute babysitting requests, and they have always come through with responsible and caring nannies. read more

It's unbelievable that this business, On Call Nanny, has gotten positive reviews. My husband and I work for Microsoft and we both get a "Back Up Care" benefit through Bright Horizons, who has sent us nannies from On Call Nanny. After 3 horrible experiences with their nannies, we no longer trust Bright Horizon or On Call Nanny with our children. They sent us three different nannies, at three different times, and all three were worse than any untrained junior high school student that we could have picked off the street. The nannies REFUSED to interact with our three children and made them play in different rooms, as the nanny used their phones or lap tops. My children were scared, lonely and confused. When we complained to Bright Horizons and On Call Nanny, they defended the three horrible nannies, stated that they had a great reputation and experience. This agency seems to be falling apart at the seams and I would warn any parent against trusting their children with Bright Horizons or On Call Nanny. read more
