BEWARE IF USING THIS COMPANY FOR BACKGROUND CHECKS! We used Nanny Parent Connection for background checks of prospective employees. Upon this last one, the employee could not initiate their background check due to a "glitch" in the email that was sent to them. After multiple unhelpful phone calls to Colby at Nanny Parent connection we were told that WE needed to call "Sterling" to find out what the problem was (Sterling is the company that THEY use to run the background checks). This whole process significantly delayed the completion of the background check. Time that we could not afford to lose. The main issue that we had was that Nanny Parent Connection did not stand behind their product. (the purchase of the background check). They had us jumping through hoops to figure out the problem. We felt that they should've taken care of calling Sterling to correct the problem, and at the very least offered some compensation for the difficulty (even some credit towards a future background check would've been welcome.) However, they refused to accept any blame, kept blaming Sterling. Ok, even if that is the case... ****WE DID NOT PAY OR CONTRACT WITH STERLING FOR THE BACKGROUND CHECK! We PAID NANNY PARENT. So that's who we felt should have stood behind the product. Colby at Nanny Parent said that they would begin an "investigation" with Sterling to figure out what the problem was. That was 2 1/2 months ago and still have not heard back after multiple attempts to follow up. *Nanny Parent will likely reply to this post with some nonsense about Sterling. Any reply regarding Sterling is not at all relevant since we did not pay Sterling, we paid Nanny Parent! Next time, when something goes wrong with a background check that a customer pays YOU for, own up to it, stand behind the product that you're selling, figure out the problem, fix the problem, and/or offer the customer, some sort of compensation, like any good business would do! I never used the service (we got a nanny another way) and they auto-renewed and charged me and refused to refund the amount. I had inadvertently signed up with an incorrect email address (which was never confirmed by nanny parent connection). I reached out to the company about the mistake thinking they would understand the challenges of being a parent of young kids, and they refused a refund. This is type of policy is outdated and not used by most companies anymore - they would want to charge people only if they get value from the service. I got charged twice and never got any value at all from the service - poor customer service. read more

Very similar to the other review on here. Laura was wonderful until we paid, and then became very unresponsive. She sent us several options, all of whom either 1) did not meet our qualifications, 2) wanted more money/hours than what we could provide (leading me to think she cared more about sending us bodies to interview so she could fulfill her contract than actually finding quality candidates) or 3) ghosted us for the interview. After many unanswered emails, texts and phone calls, we decided to send our kid to daycare. It's such a bummer - we wasted a lot of time doing nothing because we assumed she would find us someone good. No refunds or partial refunds given. read more

This review pertains to the concierge service where Nanny Parent Connection will help you find a nanny. Laura was unable to find our family a nanny. Our first conversation when discussing the nanny concierge service entailed her promising that she'd be able to find our family a great candidate and that we had plenty of time (2.5 months). She sent over 4 candidates that did not meet the very basic criteria we were looking for. She was very unresponsive to emails when we let her know we didn't feel the candidates were qualified. She did send us one candidate we initially liked but after a working interview found she was not the right fit (late to work both days). If you're searching for a nanny, I would consider another agency (starling or Annie's nannies). We had friends who were able to find wonderful nannies who are like family now- which is what we were searching for! Unfortunately we trusted Laura as she came off very friendly and we were really disheartened at the end. She also refused even a partial refund and hid behind the contract relaying that she had done her due diligence by sending over 4 candidates (one of which was even unreachable). read more
