BIG mistake, the misplaced bridge work caused my existing front tooth to crack. But I was desperate since my front teeth were involved. It's been a long very expensive journey with him. As a matter of fact, he filed down existing teeth to make his work FIT???? He wore one tooth down so badly, he actually had to replace his own crown. I was torn to report him, as Dr. Brodie always went out of his way to help me. I should've documented every visit and regret not leaving him sooner. The phone message, when I tried to contact them, always said that they are trying to catch up with messages, and will get back to people eventually, even if delayed due to covid. However, despite for calling for several months, asking for a phone call back, then just asking them to notify me if they cannot have me, I will look for another dentist, then eventually I called several times, begging for my records. NEVER got a call, nothing. I even thought they may have closed down, or perhaps Dr. Brodie is no longer practicing. But the business appears still open, so I am not sure why I was ghosted. In any case, that is very poor customer service and unexplainable treatment of a loyal patient.

In and out in 20 minutes and the filling is BETTER than what I initially had (better as in comfort, shape, height). I didn't like this and was growing frustrated with having to re-explain my dental history each time to a new person. Very difficult to build rapport when the staff is constantly changing. While that frustrated me it's not what made me leave. What made me leave was the fact that I had a crown placed by them and it broke 2 or 3 times within 1-2 yrs. I learned the hard way that Dr. Sahani doesn't put a warranty on his work. This gets very expensive as insurance won't cover the same tooth again for 5 years. I left for another dentist who guarantees their crowns for 5 years, and they were also appalled at the materials that Dr. Sahani used on my crown. They said if a crown keeps breaking there is a stronger material that can be used and they couldn't believe another dentist would keep using a cheaper material on me when they knew it was breaking. I was honest with Dr. Sahanis team when they called me to schedule my next cleaning: I said, your office doesn't provide warranties and I can't afford to shell out $2,000 three times in one year. They just said Ok and let a patient of many years walk out the door. This practice used to be one that I recommended to everyone, but I can no longer recommend them and suggest everyone ask about warranties before getting any major dental work done.

Dr. Sahani is an extremely friendly person, but I was not impressed with his dental care or his employees. First, they did charge me or tried to charge me more than their quoted price three separate times. When I had my invisalign consultation, I was quoted a promotional price for the treatment. When they billed me for it, they tried to charge me for the regular price. I had to call and send emails before they said they'd honor the promotional price. Additionally, part of the promotion was free retainers at the end. When I finished the treatment, they tried to charge me for the retainers, and it took more calls and waiting to get this sorted out. Another time during a visit, one of the receptionists charged me double what she should have and it took days before I got a refund. I am not sure if the office if just disorganized or what, but I felt that I always had to be on guard to make sure I was charged correctly. Secondly, they sent me texts last minute to reschedule many of my appointments. Once, they texted me two hours before my appointment asking if I could reschedule because they were closed for renovations. Their office is on my walk home, and as I passed by I saw through the window someone being treated at the time my appointment would have been. This seemed so strange to me, and it was even more so frustrating because they had rescheduled so many of my appointments previously. As the final straw, I went for a regular cleaning/checkup and they took X-rays. They said everything looked great, but one week later one of my wisdom teeth erupted. Two months later, a second one erupted. I just had to find a new dentist and they told me I definitely need them extracted, and they were baffled at how Sahani dental could not have seen this coming. All of these experiences were so ridiculous and frustrating, I cannot recommend this dentist to anyone.

I…read morewas fortunate that I always had decent relationships with my dentist growing up, but when I moved to MA I had a hard time finding a new one. I took advantage of one of their specials I received in the mail when I lived in Reading and went in. Everyone was kind and I felt comfortable. The dentist at the time informed me I had to have 2 wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon they sent me to was AMAZING. My trust was built with Stoneham Dental Care - to have recommended such an amazing surgeon they had to be great as well. I was a pretty basic patient - fillings here and there, cleanings every 6 mos., etc... and then I had a dental disaster in 2014. I experienced an injury resulting in a concussion, loss of a tooth and displaced front teeth. Every specialist was caring and pleasant through the entire process. They saw me cry. They saw me in pain. They saw me irrationally upset over every delay - due to the healing process, not anything they did wrong. Root canal? No issue. Implant? No issue. It wasn't their fault I was having emotional stress from the incident. I have had nothing but positive experiences with any of the staff at Stoneham Dental Care. It's a little costly, yes... but they go above and beyond.

Dr. Jackson is the kind of person I would totally hang out with. He's really geeky about dentistry which is cool. He's into it and his enthusiasm emanates throughout the entire practice. He is gentle and sensitive to my tendency to completely freak out. My first visit was an emergency. I was in serious pain and really scared. It had been a while since I'd been to a dentist, I think out of fear. Loads of bad experiences in my past. He told me, "This is the last time you will cry in my office." He gave me a real Sony Walkman with Dark Side of the Moon on cassette to listen to. Legit. Following each of my first few visits, Dr. Jackson or the person who'd worked with me called me at home at night to check on me. At the office, they went above and beyond to help me feel relaxed, comfortable and safe. In terms of his work: I defy anyone to find which of my teeth is my own and which is the state-of-the-art, no-exposed-metal crown Dr. Jackson just made for me. Exquisite. Everything about Dr. Jackson and his practice is absolutely fantastic. Brilliant dentistry and sincere kindness with personality to spare. Seriously. Run. Don't walk. No matter what, you never have to wait long to be seen, which is wonderful. Cleanings. Cleanings here are quick and leave you wanting to take better care of your teeth. I spent more time waiting for the MBTA than I do getting my teeth cleaned here. And with my two covered cleanings per year, preventative care is both easy and not nerve wracking. Fillings. Great news! MassHealth covers fillings! But in the horrible time when they did not, this place did an amazing thing: they gave you the *same* price they'd be paid by insurance companies for the same work instead of the retail price or whatever. Which is really wonderful when you've got 3 cavities since you hadn't gone to the dentist in forever because your insurance sucks. And yes, you really can get them all at once-- the dentist does not scrimp on the numbing stuff (novicane? the injectable and the topical gel). And he's so quick! I'm fairly certain I've been in an out, two fillings down in about an hour or so. Quick and proficient, just how I dream a dentist could be. The dentist is a great guy. Tells silly jokes and is simply friendly. I'm pretty sensitive to smell and the most I can smell is the nitrile gloves-- he's got a face mask on anyways so he doesn't smell our breath (thank god! I really did need that coffee on my way over kthx) nor can we smell his. He's also full of really good information, like say I learned it's not so much the fancy toothpaste, but the fancy toothbrush-- so rather than spending gobs of $$ on whatever fancy toothpaste was new and promised unicorns prancing around to clean my teeth, I invest into a decent toothbrush to make sure my pearly whites stay pearly white and are appropriately scrubbed. I have to say, I'm getting rather spoiled by coming here. I moved across the city but still insist on going all the way out to Malden to come here for my dentist appointments. I wish I had a dentist like him when I was a kid, because I probably never would have lapsed at all during/after college in having cleanings done or any of that. Going here makes adulting not quite so bad. And even... kinda awesome because it wasn't bad, it was quick, and it's off my list for 6 months. Go me!
