Don't waste your time with this practice. The hours are inconvenient and the staff is snotty. Not to mention the main problem is the doctor is absolutely rude and does not do a professional job. He will overcharge you for an exam and will do the absolute bare minimum so he can get on with his day. He displays nothing but rudeness and acts like he never wants to be there when it's his practice and only works there a whopping three days a week. Cleanings are the only thing that are acceptable but even so if you're curious about having a cavity or needing any other work done don't waste your time and money here you will not have a thorough job done and you will just be burning a hole through your wallet and be unsatisfied and still in pain. read more

I have been going to this office for several years and have always been very happy with Dr. Ghaly, Lily, and Karen. I had to have two fillings done when I was pregnant and Dr. Ghaly was extremely patient with me so I didn't feel anything at all as I couldn't use the normal amount of numbing solution. They have always been extremely understanding and flexible with scheduling as well. I had an appointment today and Lily called yesterday to see if we wanted to squeeze in my two year old son at the same time so we would always be on the same schedule. I had a new hygienist today. I believe her name is Erica. She was very thorough and provided me with an extremely hood cleaning! I am one who looks forward to going to the Dentist and enjoys a clean set of teeth and was happy that she took her time to to give me a good cleaning! It's taken me long enough to get around to writing this post here but I haven't been in pain since my appointment--- After being in excruciating pain right before traveling for Christmas, Dr. Ghaly and his office came to the rescue. They found a way to fit me into their schedule while being extremely accommodating to my work schedule. My appointment started on time which was a huge ++ for me. They took an x-ray in a machine I've never seen before and quickly started working on my teeth. The pain I felt when I first arrived, to when I left was night and day with instant relief! I would recommend Ghaly Dental to all friends and family near and far- they are worth the trip. The only regret I have is not calling in sooner to book an appointment. read more

My son and I have been going to the office to get regular cleanings for several years. Front office staff is very warm and inviting. Each hygenist is thoughtful and caring. I just had a crown and a filling under sedation.....I was literally petrified about having it done, having had previous painful experiences with another dentist. Dr. Ghaly patiently described my sedation options. I had zero pain....and I do mean zero pain, under sedation. Literally for the first time in 56 years I had a "pain free" dental procedure. I was amazed. Dr Ghalys assistant Lilly detailed how my sedation choice would work. It went EXACTLY as described. There is no need to be fearful about anything at this office whatsoever. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE PICKING A DENTIST!!! I don't even know where to start. First off, I have never felt the need to write a review before this. I woke up this morning with this incessant need to author this review. In January 2010, I went for a root canal/crown to a DIFFERENT dentist. The local anesthetic didn't work. After over a dozen traumatizing visits, the tooth was "fixed". This cost quite a bit of money, of course. After this horrid experience, I stayed far away from the dentist. Finally, July of this year, teeth pain forced me to go find a new local dentist (also in Westborough). This OTHER dentist did not even clean my teeth, took x-rays for over an hour and barely spoke to me. The hygienist informed me to cut sugar out of my diet and that I have "over 50% bone loss". This concerned my greatly. The dentist only prodded at a tooth and I received an appointment for 3 weeks later with the visiting endodontist. I could not eat, was in severe pain and lost over 10 pounds during this period. The endodontist, although very nice, could not get me numb, no matter what he tried. I then began to research this issue of not getting numb and consulted with my primary care doctor. I discovered that I have Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic joint syndrome which makes getting numb impossible for some patients (due to a connective tissue issue with jaw bone). I felt lost, depressed and like no one believed me. I then called Dr. Ghaly's office and spoke with Lily, the office manager/hygienist. She believed me (and since, a geneticist has confirmed my diagnosis) and not only that, she knew exactly what I was talking about! I saw her and Dr. Ghaly that very next day. Since, they both have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate me emotionally, financially, and physically. Their rates were beyond fair, their information straight-forward, and I never felt rushed or like I was imposing on their time. This journey with them began less than one month ago and I am thrilled to say that I am well on my way to full dental health. Their sedation worked like a charm and they were able to get the necessary work completed (and no "add-ons" like the other dentists had tried to pull). This experience has been life-changing for me. My 5-year-old will now be going to see Dr. Ghaly also (even though she is at a pediatric dentist I am ok with). My daughter also has EDS (or Joint Hypermobility Syndrome) and I am confident that Lily, Dr. Ghaly and their team will be proactive in my daughter's oral health journey. Lily is a huge asset to the office. She knows everything about everything and what she isn't sure about, she doesn't BS you, she takes the time to find out. She answers urgent middle-of-the-night emails and reassures you in a non-condescending, genuine way. Dr. Ghaly's bedside manner is great and he is able to tell you things in layman's terms without making you feel dumb (unlike other doctors I know). The office is clean (I am a neat freak), the equipment is state-of-the-art (x-rays take 2 minutes externally, instead of an hour chewing on nasty bite plates) and the office staff is welcoming. I wish there was another way to relay how wonderful the office is but all I can say is that this is my first review (which I will put on other sites also) and I felt compelled to write it. Give Dr. Ghaly's office a chance, you won't regret it. I am now looking forward to my next visit to get my permanent crowns, I feel like I have known Lily my entire life. We brought our two girls to this dentist. The front office is very friendly. The office in general is kid friendly. Dr. Ghaly was very gentle and the kids has a great overall experience. The hygienist was also great, as she explained everything to my kids as she was cleaning their teeth. read more

I had a bad experience in the dental office,the dentist there are not very knowledgeable. even the environment is not very neat and clean.

Called Ghaly Dental on the recommendation of a friend, after having a not so pleasant experience at another practice. They gave me a next day appointment. It's a clean modern practice. Lily and Karen at the front desk were super nice and friendly. A few patients walked in while I was waiting, and they were chatting with them as if they were family or old friends which helped put me at ease. Will the hygienist was fantastic. He took X-rays using a cool machine that goes around the head to scan the teeth from all angles. Dr. Ghaly was very professional, and seemed extremely knowledgeable. He showed that he cares about my overall health not just my Dental health. Ended up identifying a need for a sleep study, for a possible sleep Apnea which is not only affecting the health of my teeth, but my overall health. He contacted my primary care physician to start the process. He also did a thorough exam and discussed a treatment plan and offered me a few options. I'm very pleased with this visit and can't believe that I'm actually looking forward to going back for my next appointment. read more

Dr Ghaly and the staff were great. My Mom was suffering from pain and when we called they fit the same day, they even stayed way after business hours to accommodate us. They were able to help mom with pain and explain what would be the next steps to prevent it from coming back. And she was very happy with all the results. I walked in and no one acknowledged me, i waited for a little bit and then my hygienist came out and got me. She was very nice but i'm sorry the dentist did not make me feel comfortable at all and was really non sympathetic. I was eating one day and half of my tooth came out. I was scared and i knew i was going to need a crown or a root canal. I was telling him this and his exact words were, "Well ya you had a huge cavity in there" It just didn't sit well with me I didn't like it but i let it go and i scheduled my root canal. My insurance was not going to cover anything so i was paying out of pocket. Usually dentists will give discounts if you pay upfront but they were not willing to work with me at all. With everything i needed was a root canal, crown and 4 deep cleanings which in their office came to $3200 thats a lot of money for me. Im a stay at home mom who's fiancé is in grad school and works part time. she was only able to take it down to $3100 thats ridiculous. Oh i forgot to mention that it took me 4 days to get a hold of the office manger. They didn't seem to care that i was in pain and of my financial situation. My intuition was telling me not to come here and I am soooo glad i listened. I was going to just settle for them because i was in pain. I ended up having a consult at 64 Highland Dental and I'm solo happy with them, It was a consult but the Dr said there was no way he could let me leave his office in pain. So he preformed just the basics just to get me some relief and it meant so much to me. Also they gave me an AMAZING deal. They were compassionate and not trying to pressure me into anything else.
