My company charters private buses from Omega Express for group programs often. We have a good vendor relationship with them. They do a really great job in the NYC area, but also driving down to other states or cities like Washington DC. They get the itinerary and stick to it well. The drivers are knowledgeable about the roads in the New York area. Omega Express is an overall very good company with reasonable, workable prices, which we appreciate. We will continue to use them for our group trips. read more

Formal Complaint Regarding Unsafe and Unacceptable Bus Experience - August 7, 2026 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the bus service provided on Friday, August 7, 2026. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst bus experiences I have ever had. The bus was scheduled to pick us up at approximately 7:00 a.m. in Brooklyn, NY, at the designated pickup location on Canton and Linden Boulevard. The bus arrived and departed around the scheduled time. However, what happened afterward was completely unacceptable, particularly because this was a chartered bus transporting families and children, including toddlers and children up to approximately 10 years old. At approximately 9:15 a.m., while traveling on the New Jersey highway, the bus pulled over because it apparently needed oil. I personally witnessed the driver take two cartons of oil to the side of the road and add oil to the bus. This was extremely concerning and raised serious questions about whether the bus had been properly inspected and maintained before transporting a bus full of children and parents. Afterward, the bus continued driving to a bus depot, where we were forced to wait approximately two hours for another bus. The original bus was completely packed, and we were traveling with several young children. The entire situation was stressful, uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable. I cannot understand how a bus company of this magnitude could allow a chartered bus to be sent out for a scheduled trip without ensuring that it was properly maintained, inspected, and safe for passengers. A vehicle transporting toddlers and young children should never be placed in a situation where it breaks down on a highway because it needs basic maintenance. This experience was not only inconvenient--it was frightening and extremely unprofessional. Parents trusted your company to safely transport their children, and that responsibility should not be taken lightly. I am requesting that this incident be investigated immediately. I would also like an explanation regarding: Why the bus was permitted to operate if it required additional oil. Whether the bus received a required safety and maintenance inspection before departure. Why passengers were left waiting approximately two hours for a replacement bus. What measures will be taken to ensure this does not happen again. What compensation or refund will be provided to the passengers for this unacceptable experience. I expect a prompt response and appropriate resolution. Took omega Express bus to Camelbeach in the poconos and had a good time. The driver was on time and professional the whole ride through. This was one of the first bus rides I've been on in a long time where I have enjoyed the ride since I'm always experiencing anxiety on these large buses. The driver drove smoothly and safely and that meant much to me considering I had my son with me. read more

My driver David was the worst. First he looked like a crackhead. My wedding guest were so scared of him. My wedding ended at 12am. We walked out at 12:15 to get on the bus and he had already left all my guest. When i tried calling him he hung out on me first and then turned his phone off. Will never use this company again. read more

I HIGHLY do not recommend this bus service. We booked them for a school college trip and while, yes, our driver, Vinny, was able to take us from point A to point B, he was INCREDIBLY rude and short to us whenever we had questions. Even worse, he almost got in a physical fight with another man in front of our hotel because OUR BUS was blocking everyone from getting out. Super unprofessional. While I am grateful it was a safe drive, I could not get over how short tempered he was to our staff and anyone else he interacted with. I would recommend any other charter bus service. read more

I do not recommend this bus company. While their prices were definitely more affordable than others in the NYC area, you really get what you pay for.... The majority of the office workers I spoke with over the phone were abrasive and rude. One of the bus drivers for our school field trip was very rude to our teachers on the bus. They refused to drive a few extra blocks in order to park at a safer location (the location that was originally requested) when picking up our students, and ended us getting a ticket because they were blocking a major roadway by not moving the bus to the side properly. The street they were supposed to park on was not closed, and other similar sized vehicles had no issue using this street. The driver was then rude to our staff on the drive to the location. We requested a new driver for the trip back, which was accommodated and the new driver was very nice. Unfortunately when leaving our location, which was a camp ground area, the company refused to pull up to the location to pick up our students and staff claiming that the bus may get stuck. While the whole time there were other 56 passenger busses, and even 16 wheeler trucks that had no issues pulling up to the loading location. The company was rude yelling over the phone again that we would have to pay if their bus got stuck. In the end the camp ground facility offered to shuttle our students and staff to where the bus was parked, and the back and forth over the phone and shuttling added on an extra 2 hours of time to our trip. Bus was scheduled to leave the location at 11:30am, but didn't end up leaving until 1:30pm. We will not be using their services again. read more

This company failed to research an alternately available route to my daughters wedding venue, keeping wedding guests on the bus for 45+ minutes ( a 20 min trip). They refuse to take ownership that it was up to them to get wedding guests to the ceremony ON TIME. I understand allowance for traffic but a scheduled detour should of been researched prior to taking the job on. When first calling the company, to express my concerns and unhappiness with the service they provided, I was given excuses and denial that they could of done anything differently. Bottom line, they knew the schedule. They should of researched the route and researched an alternate route should it be necessary (even though passengers were trying to get them to take the detour, company policy is to only listen to the company GPS which was wrong). I would NEVER use this company again. read more

Literally one of the most unprofessional services I've ever encountered. First I send an inquiry for our group to quote, they replied without hello or even a name, just a one line answer saying they can provide a bigger bus with no rate, and when I ask for a rate, only to get a reply one sentence again, that they don't provide this service.... If you are a transportation company and you don't provide transfer then what do you do? And please get more knowledgeable person working there, absolutely unprofessional. read more

I just have to write a review for this bus company and especially for our driver, Martinez. I rent a bus every year to go to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds for the NY Sheep and Wool Festival and in the past we have had a series of late drivers, or drivers who were texting or talking on the phone while driving, all of which was disturbing and unsafe. This year I switched bus companies to Omega express and they assigned Martinez as our driver. The company confirmed our details and gave me the cell phone of the driver the day before, which was great. And Martinez was amazing! He was absolutely the most careful driver I have ever had driving a bus. He was polite and very caring to our elderly passengers, helping them on and off the bus. At the end of our trip, when we were stuck in traffic he looked for shortcuts and right when we were all at our most tired, coming into NYC - suddenly Frank Sinatra comes on the speakers as a welcome back to the city! It was so nice. I can't recommend this company more highly and we will be using them next year, for sure. read more
