Order was done in about 10 minutes and pickup was easy. Service overall was great really friendly and knowledgeable for questions asked. The food was delicious. Brisket sandwich had a good mix of beef and fat, crust on the outside, BBQ sauce went well along with the onions. Bread nice and soft too. Noodle Brussels had great flavor however due to the inconsistency in size they were cooked to different softness. I preferred the smaller ones as they weren't crunchy when chewing. Personal preference. Overall great venue and the ambiance was laid back with a well kept area around the order/pickup window

We were planning to try one of each taco but they had already run out of the pulled pork. They wrapped each taco individually in aluminum foil to keep it warm which was a nice touch, though they didn't bring out the red and green sauces until we asked for them. Brisket Taco ($9): The brisket was a bit dry but the slice was pretty thick and it paired well with the acidity of the pickles. Carne G Taco ($6): Super cheesy and heavy. The flavors weren't bad but I felt pretty gross after eating one and it left me really bloated.

Mueller is further away, but I have all day to shop, and plan, and get my groceries for the week. Something about this location that just has an energy about it. I feel so much better walking around. The people, the venders, and the dogs. My gosh there are so many dogs. I'm a dog person, and they know it. I have dogs walking up to me. And of course I have to talk to them. Venders are great, you have such a variety of prepared food. Love the dumplings. But there is so much more. Veggies. Fruits, canned goods, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, pasta, raw milk. I mean it's just a lot of greatness. Love supporting famers and small businesses. Coming out in the community, and just feeling a connection. Literally recharges me. It's been a draining week, and the market was my therapy today.

Farmers markets are supposed to be welcoming, family-friendly spaces where local vendors, farmers, nonprofits, faith groups, and community members can come together safely and respectfully. Unfortunately, I witnessed something that made the environment feel anything but welcoming. There was a small religious group with a table at the market, and as someone passed by, they shouted offensive racial and religious slurs at the men working the table. It was completely uncalled for. Rather than engaging in any kind of respectful conversation, this person chose to be hateful and intimidating in a public community space. I understand that the organizers may not be able to identify or remove every person who behaves this way, but I do think the market should be more proactive about making its expectations clear. A farmers market should feel safe for everyone, including vendors and community organizations that may be more likely to face harassment. Clear signage, public reminders, or stronger policies against hate speech and intolerance would go a long way. I hope the organizers take this seriously and make it clear that racism, religious intolerance, and harassment are not acceptable at this market. The community deserves a space that truly feels supportive, inclusive, and safe for all.

Parking in the close in garage is $8 so if you bring friends, it can price out to a decent price for friends and all to carpool together. Beers are $7-8, but the lemonade and ice tea is $3 with refills of $1. Score! I really enjoyed the food, drinks, and many many choices of desserts. I'm pretty sure if I didn't have a budget to not blow my allotted amount of eating out, I'd have one of everything and roll myself down the hill. Bring a large blanket to lay out on the grass, chairs to sit in should you want. Side note: they are sticklers for NO dogs on the pavement but they can certainly be on the grass. There were koozies given out by Austin Brew Company and paper fans and bug repellant, as well as doggy treats and doggy poop bags from the nearby highrise, The Catherine, marketing their beautiful new place to live. I'm sad they're done for 2015 but cannot wait to see this event back next year! Foodies rejoice, this town has got it goin' down! Beer in one hand, food in the other. Hot summer day, relaxing and listening to the Austin people play some music and your dogs frolic around!

Always have a friend with you (safety first at night, someone to sit with your things and pet). If you have a pet don't bother going up the stairs they won't let you. They watch you like a hawk even before you get near the steps. 2.Cheaper to bring your own cooler of drinks. Especially if you are coming up from taking your dog for a walk along the trail down below. 3. Be prepared to hurry up and wait. 4. keep eyes on the prize, if you want to get food from a truck watch when it dies down a bit. 5. they won't have a full menu, possibly because there's a lot of people and would probably cause a longer wait time than the usual. 6. May be helpful to bring blanket, or chair, and napkins (paper towels or wash cloth or some wipes) just in case. 7. Prepare to spend some money for both food and parking. Those are the reasons why I'm at a toss up on going sometimes. So I've been there on a weekend (they had it on a weekend once) and I've been here on the actual tuesday. They trucks change each time. I like that we can atleast say we have tried it and got an idea of what the truck is like. The prices are a bit high for what you get. It's just a great thing to do if you are social or want to be social or to meet up with friends under the stars or to have a romantic fun time. If you can't handle that maybe you need to go visit them at their regular places and enjoy the truck experience more there. hope that helps.

Filled with thick sliced Turkey, fresh avocado, greens, jalapeno aioli, all wrapped in a Spinach tortilla. It is light, fresh and wonderful. They are simply out of this world. The trailer has an enormous hand fabricated smoker attached to the front of the trailer, and the BBQ that comes out of it is moist, flavorful and mouth watering. They make a pulled pork sandwich (no shortcuts here, it is smoked for about 16 hours), served on Texas Toast with a helping of BBQ sauce. Smokey, tender and tons of flavor. Their smoked wings are seasoned with salt and pepper only and flash fried to crisp the skin. Simple. Delicious. I broke down the other day and got the hand dipped corn dog with a side of stone ground mustard. It took me all of about 3 minutes to devour that bad boy. Like everything else Ive had, it was damn good. They offer several vegetarian/vegan options (salads, vegan corn dog etc.) as well, so they can cater to any group of people with different preferences. Lastly, the guys that work the truck are great. Food is always fresh, hot, fast and the service always friendly and helpful. If youre out on the east side and need a fix, night or day, F&S is where its at.
