We received steaks and burgers from here for Christmas this year. Some of the best quality meat I've eaten. Highly recommended

I must say that there is no better grocery store or grocery chain in the country than Heinen's. Ok, Sunset Grocery Stores in Highland Park, IL, and Straubs in St. Louis are a close second. But Heinens reigns supreme. Selection They have a diverse selection of brands of every kind and type so you can choose exactly what you need. Heinens also has a variety of foods, except their downtown location. Even though their stores are huge, it's always easy to find someone to point you in the right direction. Other stores may have people on the floor, but they have no idea what they have or where things are. This store is the perfect size to get exactly what you need and zoom in and out. They have INCREDIBLE prepared foods if you're in a hurry to eat, from meatloaf to meatballs, salads, and spreads. Just incredible. Heinens has an incredible wine selection and they even carry Mexican Coke, which is all I can drink now. They're bakery is awesome too. It isn't that typical in-store bakery with the weird aftertaste of preservatives. It's good enough to be a stand-alone bakery. Their produce is expansive and fresh. I'm beginning to think, if they don't have it, you really don't need it!

This women-owned business is just fabulous. They are so helpful, kind and passionate about what they do. This gourmet tasting emporium allows you to sample their olive oils and vinegars. Whether you like a classic olive oil or flavors like pomegranate or vanilla, you can sample them all. I've learned a lot about cooking since shopping here and am now tuned into all the simple ways you can use it to flavor foods from pasta to ice cream. I'm not someone who necessarily loves cooking, but The Olive Scene empowers me to be creative. Another thing that's fabulous about The Olive Scene is their selection of gifts. I always find gorgeous hostess gifts, Christmas presents, and goodies for myself here. If you know a person that loves to set a beautiful table, you can easily find a gorgeous assortment of thoughtful items. Shop local this holiday season, and all the time!

I can't believe that we have driven by this place soooo many times and never stopped. It looked…read morelike a place older folks would go. However, we heard it was a deli and from the photos online the food looked great. So, we tried it. Well, the food was amazing. They offer a very large menu. There is something for everyone. I ordered the Philly and could not believe how good it was. The portions are huge, so we split. The potato salad was great, not the grocery store type! We were a large party of 9, and they had no problem seating us. We waited 10 minutes for a table. The service was fantastic. The waitress was very nice and brought refills right away. She brought extra plates when asked and got to-go boxes for us. The ambiance is hard to explain. The pace is huge! Not really decorated like a deli at all. Kind of an upscale diner, very clean, and minimalist. Don't expect a fancy interior. It's kid-friendly and just an all-around great family place. Not a "date" place, however, the food is so good, I just might ask to go there on a date! This restaurant does not disappoint.

I ordered takeout chicken parm 2 weeks ago and when I got home, there was no pasta -- it says in…read morethe description it was served on a bed of pasta (as chicken parm always is). I can forgive a mistake, but what really made me angry was emailing them twice about it and being completely ignored. I was just wasting my time because no one was listening. I took my Mom there for dinner today and told one of the workers about it. He said when you order online, if you choose a potato as a side, that's considered a starch replacement for the pasta, so you don't get any. Umm, what?? That's totally misleading and I know for a fact I am not the only person this happened to. Another person in the lobby overheard me and said the same thing happened to them a few months back -- which means management KNOWS the website is confusing and misleading people, but they do nothing about it. To be honest, I really like this place. Their servings are enormous, and I care a lot about the suffering of the billions of animals in our food chain, so Joe's is my go-to restaurant for fried chicken because they use Humane Certified Gerbers chicken. So kudos to the restaurant for those things. But when you are aware that you're misleading customers because of bad text on your website and you don't fix it, that's shameful. And when a customer takes the time to email -- two separate times -- and management completely ignores them, that's a serious fail.

I didn't feel rushed to get out of the store, or feel like it was a hassle/chore being inside. The workers were in good spirits on vibing with the atmosphere. The bakery and meat market was great. I've visited this location many times and especially find it festive during the holiday season. AMBIANCE: This location is a standard WF store - spacious and clean. The store is also organized like other WF for convenience. I prefer it to the University Heights location. FOOD: Food selection is excellent and everything looks fresh! I found some items here that aren't available at my frequented University Heights destination. For instance, fresh breads you can pack yourself, plenty more smoked salmon options, liverwurst, chestnuts, and plenty of hot foods. During my last visit I picked up just a few favorites - smoked salmon, rotisserie chicken, baked bread, liverwurst, and some hot foods. I was very pleased with how easy it is to find everything especially later in the day. Typically, hot foods, bread, and rotisserie chicken are hard to find later in the day. The prices at Whole Foods are on the higher end. The ambiance and quality make it well worth it. SERVICE: The service is okay. The employees are selectively nice. Lines are usually long during busy shopping days like weekends. COFFEE SHOP: I've never had coffee inside the Whole Foods until today. I was very sleepy and needed a pick me up, wasn't in the mood to seek out a coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of coffee drinks like lattes and seasonal offerings. I selected drip coffee, which was $2.75 for a large. I was very happy with this cup of coffee - not too acidic, flavorful, and awakening. CHRISTMAS TREES: There are plenty of Christmas trees - $29.99 for table trees, and $69.99 for regular trees. Table trees were not very lush, but many people were purchasing them. There are plenty of choices here so that you don't have to make a journey to a farm or other market. I enjoy my visits to this store. I look forward to stopping in again soon. Next time I'll try seasonal caffeine drinks!
