We used Olympus many times throughout the years - never had a problem. However, we always contracted through design firms who possess more clout than a homeowner. This time we contracted directly to fabricate and install Neolith in our bathrooms and kitchen with the understanding that it is indestructible - even to the point of being used on the exterior of buildings - and has a lifetime warranty. Our dog jumped up to get a Bark Box off the counter, snagged her nail in the seam, and pulled a chunk out. I watched it happened. When I called to get it repaired - I didn't even ask to have it replaced, just repaired - I was accused of not telling the truth, it could not have happened that way, However, it is clear there is a chunk out and the outside banding is still in place. They refused to fix it and further said there was no warranty. They told me the slab (or sheet) had to be registered upon receipt, however, they represent the manufacturer, are the distributors, and fabricators. I did not receive anything and only saw the finished product and was not told anything about registering a slab for warranty. There was no paperwork given to me. This still bothers me as the repair cost would have been minimal for them. The most upsetting was not their refusal to fix it, nor how fragile this product really is, but that they indicated that I was a liar after using them on three prior homes. I have never posted a bad review for anyone, but steer clear of Neolith and Olympus. read more
