I have a 1940's bungalow in midtown and knew my service panel was going to need replacing soon. When I had a breaker consistently tripping, a highly rated Yelp electrician that I called couldn't do the job but recommended Jared from Olympus. He came out quickly and replaced the breaker which was overheating. He told me what I already knew, but did so in a no pressure way. I asked for a quote for the panel replacement and he was very competitive. We moved forward and he was great to work with. He worked with SMUD, the city, and communicated well throughout. They did a great job and I really feel like this is a company I can trust for all my electrical work. read more

Olympus Electric - Electrical panel - Electricians Near Me - Citrus Heights, California

Jared was quick to respond and we were able to set up an appointment that worked with our schedules. He troubleshooted a defective outlet and discovered a few components that needed to be replaced. He pointed out what needed to be replaced and explained the reason for it. He also answered questions about other lighting issues and provided great advice. His services are reasonably priced, and I would recommend him for for your electrical needs. Plus my dogs enjoyed his company. read more

Jared at Olympus Electric was great to work with. While trying to install a new video camera doorbell, we misunderstood the instructions and shorted out the doorbell transformer. After a call to a different electrician, I was given Jared's number and he answered my call right away. He walked me through all of my concerns. Even though he wasn't able to come out same day (totally understandable as it was Mother's Day), he came out the following day. He was quick to reinstall the doorbell transformer. Jared also answered a couple of other questions I had around my house. He will be installing new porch lights in the near figure. I'm so glad I found Olympus Electric. read more

The House was doubled by the previous owner which means the electricity had to be redone by hime at some point. Once I moved in, the electricity in on a ceiling fan in one room went out as well as the garage door. I had an electrician friend look at it and tell me it was going to be a tens of thousands of dollars to fix. I decided against it and went years without those things working. Fast forward to now, I decided to get a second opinion. I came across Jared. Jared came and fixed it as it turned out to not be this big ordeal my friend made it out to be. Jared is quick, professional, and super flexible. I was leaving town and he was willing to deal with my house manager directly. Jared took the time to call him and coordinate everything with him. I couldn't ask for a better situation. I felt taken care of and that I was in good hands. Highly recommend! read more

This is now the ONLY electrical repair/contractor I will ever use. Jared, the owner, is excellent at figuring out what "black magic" is going on in the walls and in the panel that makes things we rely on just not work. There had been some amateur work done on my kitchen electric service and things worked or didn't work whenever they felt like it! I asked Jared if he could fix my kitchen problems. I told him I had the breaker switched off and was not in a big hurry. Nothing was unsafe. Jared was able to come out in TWO days! Super good service! There were some strange things going on due to the aforementioned amateur wiring, so he sent out Andrew the following day. My kitchen is now a safe place and is operating correctly, whew! I am so relieved and cannot recommend Olympus Electric enough! read more

I highly recommend Olympus Electric to any homeowner in need of electrical work. read more

I initially reached out to Olympus Electric to troubleshoot an issue I was having. I spoke to Jared about the issue and via telephone and a combination of photos, text, and voice he was able to not only diagnose the problem, but provide me a parts list, and he talked me through the fix, while explaining the process at every step. What made this process unique is that Jared not only provided very detailed guidance via phone, but he also provided the reasoning behind it and gave me a crash course in electrical wiring. If there were a higher rating (above five stars) I would provide Jared with that additional rating as his efforts were appreciated, he was honest, he did not attempt to sell me anything, and during the entire experience I felt like I was in a shop with a friend just talking through a problem. He didn't have the availability to come in person (06/17), and I mentioned that I was comfortable performing guided steps to troubleshoot. Not only was I able to fix the issue and determine its source, but I was also able to correct a previous issue I had been unaware of. Jared's ability to communicate clearly and effectively was demonstrated perfectly, and his frank and transparent demeanor has created the highest opinion from me. And to make it an even greater experience, he never mentioned pricing or any form of sales jargon. His exact words were "My hourly rate is usually $TBD" (I don't know if I'm allowed to spill those beans, but after making several calls to other electricians, I can assure you that his rate is very affordable, and worth every cent.) Overall, the service was fantastic, and the experience has set a new standard for expectations from others moving forward. If you are ever in need of anything electrical, installation, repair, or troubleshooting, you won't be disappointed by Olympus. read more

We recently called Olympus Electric for an appointment to handle a few issues, including checking circuits and a switch that wasn't working properly. Andrew and Nick arrived on the site and we are very happy with their repairs and recommendations. They explained everything clearly and did NOT talk down to their customers. We appreciate their courtesy and the way they offered possible solutions for issues that might require the replacement of equipment. We wouldn't hesitate to call Olympus Electric in the future. read more

During a very rainy and windy storm, Jared came out and diagnosed my electric problem in my living room. Jared, the owner, is a great guy. He nerds out about electrical stuff and just wants to help people with it. Even though I didn't hire him for anything, he helped me to take the next step by providing me with valuable information. His prices were affordable so that wasn't the problem but I just ended up not going through with getting any electrical work done. If I did though, I would definitely call him back. read more

Wow, these guys got "Karen'd" by Karen. So I have been using Jared for over a year for our rental property up in Rocklin. What I appreciate about him is that when I text him my issue, he will text back "Before we come out, try this, this, and that first....if none of those fix your issue, then we will come out." He could have EASILY come out and made a quick couple of hundred and do those suggestions himself. Who does this. This just shows he has our best interest in mind. Now I just wish he would make a house call to us in the Bay Area!!! read more
