After a couple of days of the pool/hot tub reopened, I go to use the hob tub & it is not working again. This is frustrating because there is always an excuse why it is broken. I have been living here for about 8 months now and wanted to write a review because looking at reviews for apartments is kind of a nightmare. I think most people can read between the lines on terrible reviews but it still makes it hard to make a decision. I will try to be as honest as possible without sounding like I am selling the place. The apartments are quite nice and the 2 bedroom is very large with nice closets and appliances. We had an issue with our dryer on the day we moved in and they replaced it the same day. No real issues with anything else. Maintenance generally can respond within a day or so in my experience. Overall, I don't hear any of my neighbors that share walls with me and don't hear much noise in the hallways. I do hear my neighbors upstairs tromping around and it can be pretty noisy, however they do quiet down in the evening. The courtyards and outside areas are pretty quiet, I've never had an issue with loud groups or parties. Also the apartments come with a separate personal private storage room which is such a huge plus. Honestly one of my biggest selling points since I was coming from a house The common areas are kept pretty clean. The grills are generally clean. The pool area is really very nice and surprisingly under used. The golf simulator is pretty awesome if you golf. There are some spots near stairwells where dogs pee as soon as they get outside so it will smell like dog pee, I wouldn't want to rent a place with a patio right on one of those spots. Garbage will occasionally overflow on a long weekend otherwise it is never an issue. They also have an oversize dumpster for large items which is so nice so rather than someone dumping their couch and mattress for someone else to deal with, they can throw it away with no problem. Some people are pigs and don't pick up after their dogs or leave garbage sitting outside the trash shoot (Why?) but that is certainly not the norm. The gym is nice and kept quite clean. Parking is fantastic. Now you might not get to park on your floor. If you get home after 5pm you will likely have to park on floor 4 and if you get home late you will have to park on floor 5 but there are always spots on floor five (there is actually a 6th floor that is virtually unused) so you will always have a spot. The elevator doesn't go to floor five so you do have to walk down a floor if you park there. You can also get a reserved spot. Moving in was a breeze. Especially if you apartment is near the back as there is a private alley that runs along the back making it very easy to get a moving truck there and parked. This is not a 100% secure building, anyone can walk in through the garage and then access the doors to the hallways and while this could be an issue, it also makes it easier for Ubereats and amazon to deliver. I have never had an issue related to this. Overall I really enjoy living here. It is a quiet complex with a large age range of people from young career to retired. The neighborhood is quite with super easy access to Convoy and really central to most of San Diego. Last thing, if you lease here you do get auto enrolled in rentplus which charges like $8 a month per person, it is stupid and easy to cancel but you just need to remember to cancel it. The office canceled it for me. Speaking of the office folks, they have all been been friendly and nice to deal with. read more

I have a chain of emails that I have sent to you guys and I have called multiple times. There is no solution on your end. All we do is wait for nothing to happen. Management doesn't seem to care. It shouldn't take 6 months to get things figured out. Not sure what their priorities are but seems that the leasing agreement they provide, they don't even keep up with it or try to maintain it so the residents can do whatever they want and get away with anything. For example, the poop on the floor/everywhere, the monthly $15 fee for maintenance to clean the hallways in which they only clean the 1st and 4th floors, and also residents smoking. read more

The community manager and assistant manager took no responsibility nor apologized for this event but instead gaslit me. Now they are illegally forging move out paperwork to show we moved out later the day we moved out and trying to charge us for those days. My family has lived here for 8 months now and can tell you that this apartment community is one to stay away from. Since living here we have had a number of issues with our unit itself. In 8 months we have had: -3 days of no water (hot or cold/ no plumbing whatsoever) -15 days of no hot water (the boiler breaks constantly and isn't repaired correctly) -Over 30 times we have had the fire alarms fault and go off in the middle of the night. One night it went off 8 times. -Over 30 reports have been made to the "apartment security" for parties or fights in the common areas after 10pm. The security they say they have but has never been seen. -My property has been damaged without compensation or admission of fault. -The parking garage gate has been broken off and on since we've lived here so getting out or in can be tricky. This place runs on "she said/he said this" lines. Where no one actually knows what's going on and they just pass it on to the one co-worker who isn't there. It's an absolute mess of a system. Aside from that - the trash shoots and dumpsters aren't emptied enough and trash is everywhere. Pros: - Upgraded kitchen and bathroom - Vinyl flooring - Spacious bathroom - Great floor plan for roommates Cons: - Domestic violence (Multiple times I had to call the cops because I could hear a woman being body slammed no I'm not kidding) - Kids screaming - Dogs barking - Hallways constantly smell like weed - Ghetto rich (Somehow a mid level apartment occupant can afford $100k sports car) - Section 8 druggies vacuuming at midnight - 100+ noise complaints to security (No I am not kidding) - Management turns a blind eye and does not evict tenants, they're just interested staying as occupied as possible - No courtesy within the parking garage (Not sticking to their lane and speeding around the corner. They will tell you one thing over the phone, and then in writing, they will say something different. Since we moved in, there have been water issues for the last six months, and this month (April), there was a water boiler that burst, so we were out of water for 2 days. The aftermath has now taken 3 weeks to fix. They gave us a pizza party to say sorry. We'll I'm sorry for moving to this place. Then there are dog feces, urine and trash EVERYWHERE! Olympus Corsair looks nice exteriorly. The units are nice aesthetically, but the development is poor. This place has a lot of potential however it is conducted poorly by management. They allow bad behavior to run rampant. The no smoking policy is habitually broken by tenants. Management tries to convince that they care however their actions say otherwise. I notified them multiple times about the smell of weed consuming our unit and getting into our clothes, and the tenant that was smoking was not held accountable. We had brought multiple staff who mysteriously could not smell the strong odor. There was a high level of noise throughout most nights. Fire alarms were always randomly going off in the middle of the night. I had to wear ear plugs to properly sleep. The floors were not built correctly and were not soundproof. The best floor was the fourth floor. You will hear your neighbors: domestic violence, screaming children, neglected dogs in your courtyards. There is a disconnect between management and security. In cases of an emergency, call the police because security does not respond in a timely manner. From a security standpoint, this place is not as secure as it appears. Anyone can enter through the garage. The security gates were frequently out of service, as were the elevators. There was no courtesy within the parking garage, the risk of being hit occurred multiple times due to reckless driving. If home is your sanctuary, this is not the place for you. I implore you to look somewhere else. read more

This is going to be a long review!! I have been meaning to write a review for the entire team at Olympus Corsair for a while!! I wanted to thank them for all they have done over the years for me and my family! First and foremost, helping my family when there was a major pipe that broke and flooded out 4 floors. I literally watched the team helping residents remove their items and get them out of the building to safety while getting soaked with water themselves. I have never seen a team work together like that especially in an apartment building. The second thing was dealing with my awful neighbors and the marijuana smoking that went on with them. As I went on to went to Yelp and Google and was reading the most recent reviews. I came across multiple posts from "Pablo and Melissa-PHD" I lived down the hallway from these people. I know this was them as they approached me and asked me to write a negative review about the complex as she was upset as she had received a notice about smoking!! Clearly this women didn't know that all of her neighbors were the ones that called the leasing office multiple times due to the "weed" smell that flowed through the hallways from THEIR unit!!!! It was a constant battle with them, just complete disregard for anyone but themselves. Myself and my neighbors would call the leasing office or security to report their smoking. We would see and hear the leasing office go to the door and knock, they simply would not answer or if it was after hours the security would pay them a visit they would answer the door. I would like to thank the entire team in the office for trying to deal these people as best they could given what they had to work with! Everyone around them is glad they finally moved out! They were the worst neighbors and no more "weed" smell, it left the day they did-lol Now back to the Corsair team! I have lived in several apartments as we are military and I want to commend the entire team for their swift actions in taking care of the whole community. Talk about going above and beyond, immediately after the pipe broke they had temporary bathrooms delivered the following afternoon they were absolutely over the top and even had music in them! They had teams on-site that same day attempting to get the repairs done and the water flowing which I'm happy to say they got the water back on in 24 hours. Throughout the following days cases and cases of water were available and snacks too for anyone who needed them. I saw the manger and her team literally unpacking cases of water off a high stack handing it out to whoever needed it. Due to the flood the office lost power and internet but still were able to provide ongoing communication and updates. They even had a big pizza party for everyone with cold beers and drinks-and yes, more water!! Where is the customer service when they tell you that the engineer will be over to fix your wine refrigerator and dishwasher in 5 days? I have to say the site tour and facilities are AWESOME but when you have issues you have to wait as staffing levels are below par. Just moved in a week ago and the wine refrigerator is inoperable, dishwasher not working and have to wait for a couple of days to get someone in to investigate and make repairs. Food for thought.... The Meeting Planner One day while walking down the street a highly successful Meeting Planner was tragically hit by a bus and he died. I had the pleasure of staying at this complex when I visited my nephew, his wife and their dog! They graciously let me sleep on the couch for 4 days during my vacation here. But even though I had to sleep on the sofa, I felt like I was staying at a luxury hotel! This 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment was extremely nice inside. Spacious, high ceilings, relaxing balcony, modern stainless steel kitchen with granite counter tops. Roomy bathrooms with a deep tub and refreshing shower heads. I noticed plenty of closet space, cabinets and other storage places. The appliances were high quality and high tech, including your own full size washer and dryer. Only the best building materials were used in the creation of this apartment complex. Now for the best of living here..... The pool and Jacuzzi areas were absolutely gorgeous with lovely water features and comfortable places to hang out alone or with friends. Barbecues and outside dining near the pool. A large indoor club house offers plenty of amenities to cater your own party or you can just relax on the cushy, comfortable living room furniture and enjoy watching the large flat screen TVs. There is a fully equipped gym, a room to play pool, tennis courts, ping pong, miniature golf, a place to play with your canine companions and even an outdoor bathing area just for your dog! This place is not only pet friendly, but there is also a cool play ground devoted to your kids! The covered parking garage has 4 levels enclosed with security gates. The surrounding landscapes of the whole complex had eye catching greenery that was beautifully maintained. WOW was I fooled when I signed the lease for here. The walls are as thin as paper, I can get woken up from my neighbors phone alarm and hear their day to day conversations. Plumbing didn't work first weekend of move in in a ONE bathroom apt and maintenance did not resolve that night so did not have a working restroom after moving all day Amenities have been closed due to COVID19 with no rent reimbursement. Even before COVID19 they only work half of the time in regards to gym equipment and jacuzzi was down Cars are broken into, others go way above speed limit in parking garage (hit my car swerving out of the way from someone speeding but apt had no cameras ) Office staff is friendly and grounds are pretty well maintained besides lazy dog owners. This place wouldn't be bad if rent was less but you definitely do not get what you pay for. Very disappointed and can't wait until my lease is up read more

I had watched this place being built and at that time it was to be a Broadstone property. Every time I drove by I said I want to live there. Now it's an Olympus Property and what a perfect name, home of the gods! I now have lived here in a beautiful very large two bedroom apt. I love it here, the amenities that are offered, you cannot find it matched for the price. Believe me, I checked out about 6 other apt communities all around S.D. A beautiful pool, gym, business center are all top of the line. Also the office staff is so polite and friendly and they somehow remember everyone's name. I'll be moving out of this complex soon to move closer to work, but I will definitely miss living here! Lived here for over 3 years, saw the change in management, and saw how the current management team worked super hard to re-stabilize things and improve the community. This current team is even more responsive than the last, same for the maintenance folks. I think they have a good balance between addressing issues when they negatively affect the community, but not being aggressive or petty in enforcing rules. For example - at one point our upstairs neighbor was being uncharacteristically loud during the VERY early morning (during quiet hours), so I sent an email to the office. Got a response later that day explaining that they were moving out, and that they would remind them to still adhere to quiet hours. And sure enough - no more noise during quiet hours! Management was also very tenacious with more problematic residents about a year ago that were just constantly blaring music - eventually they were no longer there. Some good recent improvements have been: adding MANY more dog poop bag stations around the complex, adding more security cameras, adding a much better package retrieval system, and there's a Tide laundry service. Gonna miss this place - maybe after another promotion or two I can afford a one bedroom on my own. ;p read more

I meant to write this sooner, but I've been on travel, so it's a bit late. Typically I don't write negative reviews, but I feel I the need to warn potential residents before moving here. My wife and I lived there for just shy of three years. All of the other negative reviews are true: dog poop everywhere, amenities not working, overrun by trainers that don't even live there, lacking response for maintenance, cars/bikes being stolen, lack of security, riffraff, etc. I can go on and on. The previous ownership, Alliance, was a bit better. At least the staff was helpful and willing to assist in the event of an issue. The new ownership; not so much. Just shy of three years of living there and the unit next to us was a revolving door. There were at least five different tenants in three years. I understand why they can't keep anyone, but living there as long as we did, I thought we would've been treated better. We were never late on rent, never caused any problems and kept to ourselves. We moved out at the end of June due to an increase in rent and we wanted more space. The two bedrooms were way too expensive for that part of town and the neglected amenities are not worth the price. We found a newer, larger 2 bed/2 bath apartment in Mission Valley for the same price we paid for our one bedroom at Olympus. We moved out, we cleaned and made sure the apartment was in great condition. It was just my wife and I, so the unit was kept in tip top shape. I was expecting to get a decent amount back from our deposit. Not all of it (I know that's never possible when renting), but at least something. A few weeks after moving out, we received our "final" account statement and it said we owed $12. $160 charge for paint. When we renewed for the third year, Alliance told us we wouldn't own anything for paint due to living there for three years, which is a California standard. I called the main office and asked for Sonya, whom sent the email with the final statement. She wasn't available, so I left a message. A week goes by, and I never heard back. I called again and got in touch with her. I asked if she received my message because I never got a call back, and she responded "there was message on my desk, but I don't know when you called". If the message was sitting on her desk for a week, that's a pretty good indication of when I called. In my business (aerospace & defense), we return all clients calls and emails typically same day, if it's not possible, within 24 hours...good, bad or indifferent. I questioned the charges and brought up the paint. She claimed she didn't know about the CA policies because she came from another state. I find that hard to believe because she was there for at least six months that I can recall. For the benefit of doubt, perhaps she really didn't know because most residents didn't live there for three years. She claimed she would remove the paint charge and send us check. A few weeks go by, and we didn't receive anything. I emailed her for an update and no response. I emailed a week later reminding her and I received an email with a revised "final" statement. The paint was removed, but now there additional charges for April utilities (which were paid in our last rent payment, June 1), parking, rent, etc. We moved out a few days before the end of the month, so our June rent was less than usual due to being prorated, yet we were charged additional fees and now owed $8. If the initial "final" statement didn't show any additional charges, how does the revised statement weeks later now have them? I emailed Sonya back questioning the fees and asking for her mangers contact information. She wrote back a week later with no contact information and a lacking explanation. I wrote back again and never received an answer back. Weeks went by and crickets. Her lack of response is pathetic, disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. Olympus Corsair must in financial distress due to trying to find a way to keep our $160. In the end, they won because I ended up paying the $8 to avoid them taking me to collections (which was stated on the invoice). To all potential future residents, save yourselves the money, headaches and frustration and move elsewhere. I'm guessing the "business owner" will respond to this post just like all the others with an empty promise, canned response and weak attempt to remedy the situation. True shame. read more

Olympus was a great place to live. It is a very good location to all major freeways. The place itself is awesome, modern updated,nice gym.etc. I would definitely recommend living here. My only note for future renters is if you are dependent on the deposit do not expect to get anything back. I left Olympus in great condition and they are taking pretty much the entire deposit. Most of it is fees. So just look at the "deposit" as a down payment lol if you can live with that moving in, then I would definitely recommend living there. This community is filled with nasty, disrespectful people. That photo is just one example just a few days ago someone just left their trash inside the elevator, like who does that? People let their dogs pee literally anywhere from the hallways to the elevator and even in front of my storage not just pee but they also leave their dog shit on the floor without picking it up! Our community pool is open to the PUBLIC by the way lol and oh when it comes to security? NOPE. Back gate wide open at 10:45 PM. Be careful when you invite guests, because sometimes they will tow your guest's vehicle even if it hasn't been at the retail visitor parking for 24 hours. My friend's car has been towed and only parked there for 8 hours, asked the leasing office why the heck they towed my friend's vehicle and they straight up lied to me saying that they "saw" it in the security camera that it was parked there for more than 24 hours with no evidence. Haven't had hot water in my kitchen and main bathroom for more than 5 months now and they seem not to care even if I've submitted service requests many times already. The only really nice people are the ladies that clean every morning and the maintenance guy David. So long story short my experience living here has been horrible and would not recommend anyone moving here if cleanliness and security is important to you. read more

First off let me say that I am a resident and have been here a year now. Please be careful when reading reviews of people who don't even live here. I can say that we were really excited to move here, the place was really nice when we moved in, but as soon as the placed filled up it changed for the worse. My biggest and most serious complaint is all the theft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, cars bring broken into in the gated garage. At this point we don't feel safe here and the dialog from mgmt is there is no money in the budget to address these serious security concerns..wow, I know, yes I have asked multiple times now and this is exactly what I was told. This alone is reason to move or question why would anyone move here knowing this. Well, there are other issues like... 1 - residents don't clean up after there dogs. The grounds are pretty disgusting. 2 - many of the outside hallways reek of dog urine. 3 - the parking garage has lots litter, don't understand why you would clean out your car and just toss your trash out the window? This place could have been an amazing place to live and maybe some day mgmt will address all these issues, but for now I can't recommend this place to anyone.... read more
