As the other reviews say, there is trash and dog poop everywhere. There is absolutely 0 effort put forth to maintain a clean environment ( I can add photos if whoever comments on these wants to lie). The gate in my 4 months here has been closed for 1 single day, I tried emailing them about it and they said it was open "due to maintenance on the parking lot" well that been over for a month now with no effort to get the gates working. The kids in neighborhood are bad and the other residents are rude, there are some good people. I 100% will not be renewing my lease here. And the fact that you only reward people for "honest reviews" is a load of crap. This is an honest review so I should get a gift card. I love the response that it was down due to community improvements. They resealed the parking lot like 2 months ago and said that gates would be closed after that, I have it in writing via email. read more

We moved in at the end of August. The application process & move-in was made very easy by Heather. Anytime I sent an email, I received a response impressively quick. She has been professional, friendly & helpful anytime we've had a question. I love the community involvement of activities, especially the patio decorating contest for Halloween. The office team really puts forth the effort to ensure residents are happy & kept up to date. The property is well maintained. One of the maintenance personnel, Willie, is not only knowledgeable & quick with repairs but he very warm & friendly. My nephew really likes talking to him. The location is nice, tucked away but so close to grocery, gas, restaurants & shops as well as I-16 & I-95. There is lots of storage space, the kitchen is very functional, love the trash valet. The only negatives: living room area is a little narrow, the patio isn't big enough for a proper table and chairs over 2 people, parking can be scarce at times & the 'garden tubs' aren't true garden tubs.. more oval shaped. Beware of the false reviews. They offer gift cards to residents for good reviews. This place is Over priced and not well maintained. There's trash and dog poop everywhere. I have been having respiratory issues for over a year only to find there's mold in the hvac system... which by the way has frozen over several times on the hottest summer days. The trash/dumpsters is an embarrassment as it sits right in front of the community. They don't always pick up the trash and will sit dumpsters in the parking lot for you to discard your own trash despite having a valet service. The package room was a nightmare, being broke for weeks. You were only able to pick up your packages at times when staff were present. The gate has been broken for longer than it has been working allowing anyone to drive on or off the grounds. It's an unsecured gated community. The staff are nice as is the pool but the photos online are filtered. This place is just a cash flowing business and not a long term community that you would want to live in with a family. The lease renewal is ridiculously high. It's like they are forcing you out with the insane increases in cost. Be careful and take pictures before and after you move in and out because they will try to charge you for every little crack as if the place was perfect upon move in. There are much nicer, newer and cheaper apartment complexes close by. Do your research. read more

DO NOT MOVE IN APT. 433 My move in experience was horrible. I moved in a a dirty unit. Carpet was new and the painting of the unit was rushed. The previous tenant moved out and did not bother to clean. I moved in with the condition the previous tenant left the unit in...nasty. The office said the unit was cleaned but that was a lie. See below: Jalisa: I was out of the office this weekend and I heard that your move in was not up to our and your standards. I would like to apologize for the problems that were in your apartment. I would like to know what I can do to make things right! Me: Good morning, Did you walk the unit prior to my move-in date? Also, is the property manager going to reach out to me today? Jalisa: I did walk the apartment prior. The items that were told to Kelly was not like that when I walked it. I know painters and cleaners came in between as well. I should have gone back and double checked so that is my fault. So I apologize for it not being walked again. I have let our manager know as well and she should be contacting you soon. Me: If my unit was cleaned, you guys should be refunded bc it was not cleaned. I am disgusted by the conditions. I had to clean Saturday and Sunday. Please put me on the list for pest control bc I've seen bugs already. Please make not for then to spray outside the entry door and patio. The power was shut off on the electrical box. That is done when the unit is unoccupied for a while. So with that being said...who cleaned my unit while I'd was hot? Bc the power was off...it left a smell in the unit. Jalisa: Ok I just received the pictures and again I am really sorry about all of this. We use a 3rd party cleaning service. We turn the power box back on right before move in. I will also show these to management as well. Me: Your coworker had to cut the power on. I think bc it was off so long it left a smell in the unit. Ok please show her bc we need to talk about me being inconvenienced and how we will move forward. The property manager never contacted me. I feel like my rent should have been adjusted for being inconvenienced, lied to and the rudeness. The leasing consultant on duty that day was Kelly...she she became rude once I showed her photos of everything wrong with the unit. She really had the audacity to be nasty bc I was complaining ab the condition of the apartment. The rent is too high for those dated units. The handles on the cabinets in the kitchen are crooked, no garden bathtubs, kitchen sink needs to be replaced, floor molding is crooked in the guest bathroom, closets, bathrooms and bathroom counter tops are small. You better off moving to another community. All these properties care about is their commission check for leasing unit. I know the previous tenant was African-American from seeing her name on in my mailbox and they put me, and African-American woman in that jacked up unit. I feel like they wouldn't have put a white person in that BS unit. Then they had the nerve to increase the rent to stay up with the other properties in the area. Not a good move bc they other properties are NEW with elevators and better amenities. Make sure you look at your unit PRIOR to moving in and signing your lease. read more

No matter the issue or the time of day Mr.Willie our maintenance man has been absolutely wonderful. He has always made my children and I feel like family. He always has a positive attitude and gets the job done. Even before I became a resident he made me feel right at home. He is definitely a major part of why I decided to call this great community home. The front office staff is also very nice and helpful. read more

I wouldn't even give this place a star if I didn't have to. I'm so disappointed since the new management company took over. There is always dog feces all over the place and nothing being done about it. The staff is polite but you can tell they don't really care and the maintenance crew is awful. They're always looking miserable and annoyed if you ask for them to fix something which is their job. I was supposed to be having a few small issues in my apartment fixed and after DAYS of not showing up, they finally said they would come in the morning. Needless to say, I'm still here, hours later, waiting for them to show up. They obviously do not value my time or other renters time since this is not the first time this has happened. Save yourself the frustration and rent else where, I plan to do so as soon as I can. So disappointed and annoyed. read more

I love Carrington Square! We are on the 2nd year of our lease and could not be happier. My favorite part of the community is probably the amenities, the pool and the gym. The gym could stand to have a few more weight machines, but I love that every cardio machine has a personal T.V. that makes workouts fly by. We do hear our neighbors often, but primarily just footsteps and the occasional bark. If you are sensitive to noise I would suggest renting a house in nearby Godley Station or in downtown Pooler. However, the staff is very responsive about any incidents. They are also responsive about maintenance issues. Many times we have filed a work order and the item will be fixed by the time we get home for dinner. Can't beat that! I will definitely miss these perks when we live in a house. read more

I've lived here for 3 years and I love the upgraded apt and space. Maintenance team is pretty receptive to work orders that need fixing and the front office staff is really nice. I don't have any complaints about living in this community except my apt faces the backs and was unable to get direct TV. The rent has increased every year, but that's a given at any apartment complex. Overall, great community. Just wish they could work something out to get satellite signal on the apt that face the woods. read more

I wouldnt give it a star if I could without telling you how awful it is. I am going to start with the application process. Depending on who you talk to is how much your rent is going to be. We talked to one girl told us one price got it in an email and then went up there only to find out that the price she told us was bogus. We added a garage and was told it was 100 nope 125. They did our application wrong and our 6 pound dog ended up being 60 (yeah I dont know either) but we had to pay twice as much because they screwed up and it was too late. When we finally were moving our stuff in our gate keys didnt work and there was no one who could help us...fun huh? I was hoping that the inefficiency of the whole application/ moving in process wasnt a sign of things to come but oh was I wrong.... I came back from a week long vacation to find out that my garbage disposal broke somehow and leaked all over everything under my sink and over a week later I am still waiting for it to be fixed. The 'maintenance crew" (I use the term VERY loosely) are not helpful, on time, or ever working but can commonly be found sitting in their garage with their feet up on their phones or napping. I have two kids and i asked about the safety of the area before we moved in since it does have a gym and pool. The pool is NEVER locked and neither is the gym. Speaking of the gym, you can often find children playing on the machines and it smells awful. In the first month of living here the fire alarms were pulled three times by kids (twice in one night) and instead of looking at the tapes (they probably do not have cameras that work) they wrote a note and stuck it to the door asking to please talk to your friends and family about how it isnt a right thing to do. We complained about our upstairs neighbors and the fact that there is birdseed all over my balcony and were told "I dont have time to hear this." The girls in the office are awful and run about the same as the guys who are suppose to keep the grounds clean. And speaking of grounds, if you enjoy the smell of stale urine, and dog feces then this is the place for you! If I know that it is going to rain I try to do everything I need to do in the outside world before hand because the "landscaped common areas" turn into pools and rivers of dog urine and feces. The place stinks constantly. The office manager is a bitch, the cops are out here all the time. When we first moved in my husband let me take my puppy out at night, that doesnt happen anymore. In the few times I did that I had a guy come up to me ask me for my phone charger then proceed to tell me about all the drugs I could get in and around here. Basically if this place was your last resort before becoming homeless then by all means move in but otherwise run the other way! THANK GOD we only have a few more months in our lease and can get the hell out of here. read more

The new management is uncooperative and will table your problem/issue instead of being proactive. There are kids that have stolen packages from doorsteps for two months from multiple building and the management has done nothing to address the issue. It has taken the process of elimination and going door to door to address parents and get the police involved to hopefully stop this issue. Second, the maintenance and upkeep team have regularly come into our apartment at unscheduled times and have not left maintenance orders... They have come in unannounced to do something while my wife was in the shower with music on. We will not Be renewing our lease and wish there was a way out sooner. Dont pay to live in Savannah Quarters and try other places in Pooler. read more

I read some of the reviews and was surprised at some of the replies. I moved into Carrington Square at the end of August this year and it has been nothing short of excellent. The staff in the office is fantastic and goes out of their way to make life easy and to please. Leah really helped us out to make the process smooth. Items noted to be repaired during the move in inspection were taken care of quickly. The place is clean, maintained, really no complaints. The gym and pool are very nice too. This place sucks. The rent continues to go up but what are we paying extra for now. Did my increase in rent go towards the hidious spray paint that is now on the apartment? Does my increase in rent go toward the dogs continuing to urinate and poop and their owners not clean it up? The gates are always broken so you may as well remove them. This apartment complex is really going down hill. Prior to moving here we lived at the Springs on Chatham Parkway and maybe saw a cockroach once a month. Ever since we moved into Carrington Square we find them on a daily bases in our apartment and almost always spot them crawling around outside our neighbors doors. The Roaches are a inch or so bigger too! This complex is super noisy. Just two weeks ago my husband and I were inside our apartment when we heard screaming coming from outside. We walked out onto our patio to see what was occuring and it was a drunken fight at the pool. Mind you we live a good distance from the pool. On the weekends expect to not be able to find a chair at the pool as it will be full of white trash people, unattended little children, and college students playing beer pong, blaring music and stumbling around. While laying out by the pool I have witnessed on more than one occasion people getting drunk, throwing up in the bushes, yelling expletives to others, and starting fights. Since moving here I have seen the cops here twice. Do not even bother with a maintenance request. The gate is always breaking due to people running into it. All in all we decided to move here to get away from the low class people and crime other complex's offer. You would expect for the price you pay here to get just that but unfortunately this is not the case. Counting down the days till our lease is up so we can get the heck out of here! read more
