This complex is amazing. The management team is awesome, and the grounds are well kept. It's rare that I have a maintenance request, but when I do, the work order is completed quickly. Every person that works here is very nice and professional. I haven't experienced any of the problems with the personnel here that some other reviewers have expressed, and I don't know anyone who lives here has either. I highly recommend these apartment homes!! read more

I was harassed by Dave, one of the maintenance people. He broke my AC Unit twice so that I would be w/o AC .... He is condescending and rude - yet all in office did nothing. Joe, the other maintenance guy, was aware too of what Dave had done but again he did nothing too. The staff at this apt complex could not be worse!!! Choose somewhere else~ you will be better off! read more

Harassed by groundskeeper. Management did nothing to make me safe. He kept his job and now lives on site. Proceed with caution.

It's easy to get lured in by the nice leasing agent but once you're in it's a big let down. Utility bills are over $300 a month modestly due to a lack of insulation. Dogs never stop barking to the point you need ear plugs to exist in your unit. It's grubby. That would be the most descriptive word I could find. Does not need to be. They just don't care to keep it clean and far from pristine. The exteriors are dirty to the point I can't wear my business dress clothes because by the time I get to my car they will be covered in feces and pine needles. I literally have to drive to the gas station and change before I take a business meeting and have to run my car through the car wash a minimum of three times a week to make it presentable. They do not clear the walkways and they do not clean anything. No way would I trust the bacteria levels in the gym. Can't get near the pool without screaming children and it's small. My car is always dirty from the bird and squirrel droppings and tree droppings. There are zero amenities. No valet trash pick up and no package delivery to your unit. The trash drop off is like third world and disgusting. No responses when emailing management and why bother. This is their standard. Low. Fair warning, it's like livestock with lipstick. For the same price or less you can find 1000% better getting off run down Wilmington Island. read more

My wife and I walked through the complex today looking for a new apartment and saw a women being screamed out by another women with a nasty dog we thought was going to bite her. It was pretty scary. Looks pretty nice but not sure if we will go for it. Looking for recommendations on Wilmington Island if anyone has any. We like a place in the woods like this but no pets. read more

Very happy with this apartment complex-staff in renting office and in maintenance couldn't be any more helpful. Very quiet. Nice pool and exercise room. Short distance to anywhere u want to go in Savannah-and beautiful Tybee just 15 minutes away! Apartments have lots of natural light-very comfortable. My apt is in shaded area, and I've only used air conditioner once! I highly recommend this community! read more

I have been searching for an apartment in Savannah area for several months and actually found Buccaneer Trace online. I drove over just to see the area and see what the availability would be at or near the end of July when my lease is up on the existing property. The property manager took me to see an apartment and then to see one of the cottages. It's a dream come true for me because one of the greatest reasons I'm leaving the apartment I'm in is due to loud, obnoxious, unapologetic neighbors above my apartment. These cottages are a great asset to this community because they have no one above you and only connected on one wall. I'm sure some would say just get a top floor apartment, and that would solve that issue, but I have a lung disease and can't do the stairs . All in all it was a great experience and I actually rented this awesome apartment. Also, the rent was more in line with my retirement income. It's been a hard search but these great folks in this office made me feel at home and my search is now over. read more

The staff at Buccaneers Trace Apartments is the most professional and caring staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with. From the time I moved in, until the time I moved out, they have provided excellent service. The apartment I lived in was well cared for, any issues were very quickly resolved, the property was always being maintained and cleaned. I felt safe and secure here. I would highly recommend living here, and would gladly live here again. My husband and I are snowbirds and stay in different places for the winter. This apartment complex is definitely the friendliest place we have ever wintered in. The staff work very hard to please the residents and maintain a wonderful apartment complex. From our initial contact until now EVERYONE who works here has been efficient, kind and competent. The apartment we are renting this winter is clean and well built. We like that the only part of the apartment with carpeting is the bedroom. The neighbors are very friendly and welcoming. We've had no loud noises at night and everyone is very considerate of others. Without any hesitation, we would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to rent in the Savannah area. read more

I was living for over two years at Buccaneer Trace and I am very satisfied with my overall experience. The office and maintenance crew have been outstanding and Miss Sandy is my favorite. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and had a lot of scheduled events for residents to get to meet each other. Very clean and kept pool and grounds. read more

The carpets are disgusting. The grounds are full of ant mounds. Dog Poop stations everywhere filled to the brim with smelly poop. The review from 2010 has been updated with this one. Management or maintenance has slacked. read more
