Awful management, they can't handle basic things like printing a form. Everything takes forever…read more The gates are left open frequently. The trash is overflowing. The pool was closed until the end of June. The apartments are not move in ready, when you move in. The walls are thin, there's a lot of noise from planes, traffic, roofers, people blasting music at the pool, and mowers. They're trying to compete with the pricing of actual luxury apartments without proper management and maintenance.

I love using the fitness room and the pool is super nice. I have never had any serious problems except for my ac going out in may last year! They got it fixed within 2 days so I was pretty happy about that. The rent is kind of pricey but at the same time it is worth everything that you are getting. The community is pet and children friendly!

I was a resident at The Slate through October 2025 and had a positive experience, which is exactly…read morewhy I chose to reapply in April 2026. Unfortunately the experience this time around left me deeply disappointed. I paid $325 in fees, was denied based on credit, and was told all fees were non-refundable -- including the administrative fee, for a lease that was never created. When I asked for even a partial goodwill refund as a returning resident, I was told no at every level. I understand policies exist, but the lack of compassion for a former tenant who returned in good faith says a lot about how this company truly treats residents. I would caution anyone to carefully read the fine print before paying any fees here.

Life Is Good at THE VILLAS…read more The Villas are well kept inside and out. The Rental Office staff does a great job of screening applicants to maintain a safe and positive environment. Susan is always open to hearing suggestions to improve the VILLAS or issues to address. She was also helpful when my relatives were displaced by Savannah flooding. She's that kind of person. Karen, in the office, is a problem solving genie when it comes to resident issues, party planning and has great taste if you should need ideas for decorating the events. Thank you to both of them. Other residents are quite pleasant in passing and my neighbors even delivered our (mis-delivered) package. The apartments are tasteful and don't have the (institutional) apartment look and feel. I have never seen any pests. Pet responsibility is enforced. Any, and I do mean Any, issue is addressed promptly! The yearly carpet cleaning is wonderful. The outside of my windows are cleaned yearly too. The exercise room is kept clean and in good working condition. The pool is always inviting. And they do a great job reviewing and making changes to security as needed. The only "down side" would be the appliances are a little dated. But that is offset by so many other positives. We are so satisfied and proud to call THE VILLAS our home.
