Cannoli pancakes

Cannoli pancakes is excellent special veggie omelette very good service was excellent clean very friendless

I finally made it here after living in Meriden the last 30 or so years! The place is definitely small and tight. The decor is cute and there are booths lining one side, and a long counter. The menu has so many choices, and I ordered an egg salad club with sweet potato fries. This had to be the fluffiest egg salad I've ever had, and the sweet potato fries were really good. My dad ordered pancakes with 2 eggs and home fries. He said that his breakfast was very good. I would recommend this place if you want a decent-sized and good breakfast/brunch. It's not nice and cozy due to its really small size (which is smaller than what I would call cozy), but if you're looking for good food over comfort, this would deliver. I didn't feel comfortable taking more photos of the location because there were too many people squeezed in.

I have been to this privately owned diner a few times. It's a local spot. The owner is always there and KNOWS the regulars orders. You can literally watxh it happen. The staff is friendly. My food has been on point every time, exactly what I ordered and relatively quick to the table. They have a large many and specials, but I'm a sucker for routine. I typically get the French toast and a egg Sammy (as picturee). Sooo good! There are booths and a long counter (which is great for couples and singles). It can be a little loud because it's so busy, but that's a great problem to have and a sign of a great place! Will definitely be back! So glad I found this little place in town.

I hesitate to give this place a review because it's already so busy but if you drive by and it's not packed, definitely come on in. It's a great little spot! I LOOOOOVE breakfast. It's my favorite meal, all day, every day. Some places stop serving breakfast after 2 pm but not this place. I order my eggs over medium and some places do not understand that concept, but this place gets it. Staff here nice, chill and thoughtful! This is my go to meal order in emojis: Enjoy!

Ok If you are looking for white table cloths with folded linen napkins this ain't it. What you will find is a great deal on well prepared comfort food. The servers were attentive, quick and friendly. The diner itself is a piece of forgotten history that should be maintained and treasured. The wife and I did the eggs Benedict. She had the hash and I had the black stone. Hash was so real I had to order a side. Most excellent. Oh before we left we had desert. The blueberry ricotta pancake. So Good!

I always leave Olympos Diner satisfied and happy. I went there this morning with my loved one. We always try to mix it up with savory and sweet dishes that we can share. We decided on an omelette with mushrooms, bacon, onion, and broccoli. Always cooked to perfection with the cheddar perfect melted and always delicious. They had homemade corned beef as a special which was outrageously good. It was hands down the best homemade corned beef hash I've had. Another special on the menu was banana bread french toast. The banana bread was thick so it perfectly grasped the batter and remained moist inside. The exterior had a slight crunch. The flavor was not overly sweet, perfect amount of banana, and left me wanting more with each bite. If you find yourself at Olympos Diner when the blueberry ricotta pancakes are the special, please order them. You can thank me later. Happy eating, LA

The food was ok. Prices ok. But by far the worst service I have ever experienced in my 57 years of eating out!!!

It's always a pleasure to see Alan's welcoming good morning smile even at 5am! This is my new go-to…read morespot for a quick breakfast. Although it is cash only, there's an ATM close by (just in case...phew!) Plus the prices are on point and the food is delightful! He really has a knack for classic breakfast foods, and everything I've tried here has been awesome; especially the huge pancakes! The one he does loaded with apple and butter and syrup- just stellar: I have dreams about those pancakes! I like to think that no "chef" has the right to the title of chef, unless they can make a perfect egg...every time... So, thank you, Alan for being an excellent chef! Real comfort food!

My dad had…read morebeen there before, but it was my first time, even after living within 10 minutes of the place for the last 30+ years. The place is small and quaint. It's cash-only, so I want to mention that right away! We were in and out in about 30 minutes, and our breakfast sandwiches were very good. The service was fine, but our server didn't even crack a smile, even when I smiled and wished her a good morning. Being friendly isn't a deal breaker, but it goes a long way in making someone feel welcomed. We decided that we would return again some other time and try something else off of the menu. Will update the review then!

I've driven by K LaMay's a number of times. I've heard at least one Blogger call it a top CT…read moreBurger. Given that Ted's (which has a longer tradition of steamed cheese burgers) is also in Meriden, I had a hard time convincing myself that I needed to visit. I finally did. Steamed cheeseburgers are a unique CT creation and Ted's and K LaMay's are two of the titans. Let me break em down. Ted's is old school and smaller. K LaMay's is modern and more spacious. Ted's also has a truck. Both cook burgers in steam cabinets. Ted's burger is thick in the center and less wide. K LaMay's burgers have a more uniform shape. Neither has noticeable seasoning due to the steam process. I prefer the texture and flavor of K LaMay's burgers. Both use a white cheddar cheese. K LaMay's uses an aged Wisconsin cheddar. It's high quality and tastes great. But it doesn't fully melt. Ted's cheese is more mild. And it's ooey, gooey and stretchy Advantage to Ted's because of the cheese texture. Both Ted's and K LaMay's use Kaiser rolls. Ted's has modernized its topping options since I first went. But I have to say, I am impressed by the amount and quality of K LaMay's toppings. Which burger do I prefer? It's a close call. For me, the most important part of a steamed cheeseburger is the texture of the cheese. And I prefer Ted's for cheese. But I prefer the beef, toppings and dining room of K LaMay's. So I'm giving the nod to KL. Try them both and decide. 4.5 Stars to KL
