It has a particularly good selection of new and used rock records, as well as a nice selection of jazz. Round Again has been in business since 1979 and has outlasted all other Providence record stores from that era, all under one owner who, as far as I can tell, is also the only employee. I've bought tons of records there over the years that remain prized parts of my collection, and I almost never leave empty-handed. For those complaining about the owner's temperament: get a grip. No, he is not Mr. Congeniality. But he is knowledgeable and extremely fair. If you want to sell, he will give the highest payouts in the area, in my experience; if you want to buy, his prices tend to be lower than anywhere in the area. I've had many conversations with him; he's a very interesting person with a lot of great stories who is not afraid to voice his opinion. I enjoy talking to him. There are many other record stores in the area that I like as well, but Round Again has survived and thrived for over 45 years for a reason. Shopping at Round Again feels exactly like shopping at a used record store in the 80s. I'm grateful I can still get that experience somewhere.

I am even more disappointed that the store would carry this record in the first place. I would consider questioning their values before you shop there. Update: the owner did take the time to call me and we had a good discussion. End result: I suggested he put sensitive material in their own section with a warning.

I spent a good portion of time sorting through records, enjoying the search however upon getting ready to check out, the owner had arrived and had the staff price out the records-which was frustrating that they weren't premarked (excluding the one I picked up that was marked $1.99 from a previous owner, then offered to me for $15) The owner proceeded to instruct the staff to charge the highest price for each of the record listings online, making what I had thought would be a fun thrift into a more expensive outing than planned.
