The beer that Steve and I had was the Red Band which is a lager which I enjoy the majority of the time. Flavors to find with hopefully fun involved are malty, sweet (a natural sweetness probably from the flaked corn involved), hoppy, crisp and clean in the finish. Typical for this beer type it was light bodied also. Swag was indeed purchased here as I knew the likelihood of this happening was high and I got a very nifty t-shirt from the transaction.

My friends and I were in…read moretown for the Shawshank Hustle and chose this place because it looked lime it would accommodate for our different tastes. It was a lot smaller inside than we expected but it was nice. We were seated quickly but it took a bit for our server to come. We finally ordered ( nothing crazy - we all got sandwiches). Then it felt like our server just disappeared. One of the other servers heard us talking while she was servicing her table and told us that they had some event going on outside so food was taking longer to come out. No update from our own server. I had to ask ther other server for another drink. It was kind of irritating to see tables that came in after us getting their food before us. Now onto the food - it was pretty good. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. I got a reuben with fries. The rye bread on my reuben was nice - crispy crust yet soft. Very good ratio of meat to saukraut. The fries were eh. Very limp with no crispy at all. I've honestly gotten better fries off a food truck. They look crispy in the photo but they were not. So overall- drink was good, sandwich was delicious but fries were not and service was not good at all.

My soft drink was cold and wasn't flat We walked in to the restaurant and the waiting area was packed and people who were waiting for open tables as you try and seat yourself. We decided to go sit at the bar to eat. The restaurant is nice. Somewhat clean. Bathroom could have used some tlc We ordered our food, which for me was fish and chips and my friend got a club. BTW I was on the fence between the Reuben and fish chips but the waitress recommended the fish and chips so I went with that and I also ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. The soup came and I was starving so I dug in and after the first bite was looking for my drink as it was salty as heck. At this point I started having a bad feeling about the food and when my fish and chips showed up my feelings were unfortunately correct. The fish was drenched in oil that was burnt. It was so bad you could smell the burnt oil and even though my plate was full of the oil residue from the fries and fish I tried it. I was totally disgusted and even offered my friend to try it which he did and immediately spit out. I caught the waitress and showed it to her and she immediately apologized even though it had nothing to do with her and she got me a Reuben ordered. Btw the staff was great. The gal tending bar and the waitress who took care of us were great. I also want to add that my friend who ordered the club said it was good. I got the Reuben and again wasn't happy with how it turned out. At which point I asked for check and decided to leave as my stomach was doing hula hoops in disgust. Idk if it was an off day. It is a Sunday around 1pm but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Came out to $50 and imho I could have spent it way better. Idk if I will give it another shot, but who knows. Maybe Jersey Mikes would be safer......
