The beer that Steve and I had was the Red Band which is a lager which I enjoy the majority of the time. Flavors to find with hopefully fun involved are malty, sweet (a natural sweetness probably from the flaked corn involved), hoppy, crisp and clean in the finish. Typical for this beer type it was light bodied also. Swag was indeed purchased here as I knew the likelihood of this happening was high and I got a very nifty t-shirt from the transaction.

So, off I went. My hotel stay also added a 10% discount, so that helped. I was greeted and seated fairly quickly after walking in the door. The server, Sophia, was absolutely a gem! Throughout my meal, I was checked on at perfect intervals. I love the ambiance of this place. Lots of wood, exposed brick, high exposed ceilings. It's a rustic-industrial warehouse feel...yet also with a warm neighborhood feel. Gotta love it. Tonight I opted for the jalapeño popper burger. The burger was smaller than I expected, and they charged me $3 for bacon. Come on. The jalapeño popper cream cheese was a little too heavy, which made the burger a complete mess. It was good, don't get me wrong, it was just a mess. The fries, although happy with the serving size...were not as crispy as I'd like. They also had a less than fresh / possibly reheated taste and feel to them. I also opted for the s'mores cheesecake, which I would not recommend. The toppings made it hard to cut without the cheesecake busting out the sides...and the crust was too thick and hard. I ended up taking off the top layer and eating just the cheesecake off the crust. Overall: unsure the size of that burger justifies that price point, but the place itself has a great vibe.

The Draft Room held a "Dark as Night" event which they featured some rare, highly rated stouts. They listed the stouts and after doing some review research, I knew I couldn't miss out! The bar has seating at the bar, small tables near the bar, and bigger tables/booth near the front of the bar. There is a small narrow outside patio, which looked mainly for smoking. I'm not sure if there are tables out there maybe when the weather is nice. The Draft Room had a ton of taps and offered flights, full beer pours, and even half beer pours for all their beers. I love this idea because sometimes I would rather have a smaller portion to try more things! The bartenders were fast and efficient. Since my husband and I both opted to do a flight, they handed us a board with four holes for the flight glasses, and a piece of chalk. The drafts are listed by number, and posted on each side of the bar. We wrote the number of the drafts we wanted to try on the chalk board paint next to each of the drink holes. What a cool idea! There was a cooler of take home beers on the side of the bar. I saw multiple people coming in and buying beer from the cooler and leaving. They have a great selection! They don't have their own food, so you can bring your own. The bar is right next to Jimmy John's and also Pasquale's! We will definitely be back!

They were pretty busy considering how tiny the building is, but there is two pool tables, a jukebox, and Just enough space to sit comfortably. The vibe was pretty chill and laid-back, which is always nice for a little hometown bar. Overall, I was impressed, and I would go again.
