Poke bowl with Tuna and Salmon
    Jess M.

Very impressed and really enjoyed this meal! I am more of a sushi person than Poke Bowls but this was super yummy. The ratio of everything was on point- rice, veggies, fish, sauce and seasonings. The portion is fair, leaving you satisfied but not over stuffed. Quality was great. I have had these bowls in the past from other restaurants and they would give too much of salad or rice but this was well balanced!

Tried this restaurant for the first time last summer and I fell in love with their pokes at first try! Ever since then I've been getting their signature poke called "Omao Omao". The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They were also so nice to let me substitute some ingredients with mango to fit to my taste! The only thing I would change is the portion to be a bit bigger.

I randomly found this restaurant by doing a quick Google search around me area. I hadn't heard of it before and saw the amazing reviews so I quickly called and ordered for pick up. I ordered two signature poke bowls ; Omao omao and Amelika. They both were amazing. The Omao bowl had a brown rice base with mixed greens, marinated tuna and salmon and topped with ponzu and Teri-unagi sauce. The Amelika bowl comes with white rice, shredded pickled papaya and carrots, cucumber, fried onion and peanuts topped with a lemongrass sauce. It was similar tasting to a Thai papaya salad but with all the extra yummy ingredients and fresh fish. They were both very unique and I am already thinking of coming back to try more. My only complaint would be that the bowl is a bit small for the price - I also have a big appetite

As a resident of Hawaii I was surprised how unfriendly it was with no spirit of aloha

Today there are many more variations. At Poke Bol, you'll find an assortment of healthy and savoury selection to choose from, at different price ranges, where each bowl is fresh, flavourful, and fully loaded. Whichever choice you select, don't forget to douse it with the house sauce and spicy sauce: Deluxe: Tuna, Salmon, Tempura Shrimp, Red Snapper and caviar. Crab & Shrimp: Snow crab and Shrimp. Eel: Grilled Eel and caviar. Tempura: Eggplant, zucchini, sweet potato, algue. Vegetarian: Algue salad, brocoli, asparagus, cherry tomato, sweet potatoes and onions. ... and many more on the menu. If that's not enough, there are also some appetizers such as dumplings with peanut butter sauce or fried dumplings. Come and meet the owners of this family-run business and taste the difference in freshness and remarkably fast service!

The Spicy 5.0 had pretty much the same ingredients as the spicy salmon but had both tuna and salmon. It's also $1.00 more. I liked the salmon itself as it was hardly to taste the tuna from the salmon with the sauce on. Overall a good choice for a quick dinner. Liked the idea of adding mango chucks in- a different tropical approach than the regular Hawaiian poke. Not heavily seasoned.

Service has always been no-frills, swift, and courteous. The food has also been consistent all the times I have patronized this place. I usually get the "Hawaii Poke Bowl" which consists of "Ahi Tuna and Salmon, Lettuce, Cucumber, Wakame, Kimchi, Edamame, Green Onion, Crunch Mix". I customarily request they replace the crunch mix and rice with more salad (no judgement please), and they always happily oblige. You can also personalize your bowl by adding extras such as avocados, kimchi, and so on for an additional cost. If you like salmon, I would recommend the "Bora Bora Poke Bowl"; if you like tuna, I would recommend the "Tahiti Poke Bowl." All things considered, I cannot say this is the best poke bar in town, but it also isn't the worst. I wouldn't plan a date here, nevertheless I would come here alone for a quick lunch fix, or a light dinner.
