I had them come out and pour a new driveway to begin work.And remodeling of the outside of my home.. I now have water major amounts of water pooling up in the corner of my home, possibly causing future issues with my foundation. The other problem is that after pouring the new porch that they had built and adding the overhang, that was tied into the structure of the home. It started cracking a month or 2 into that same fall. That they did the work. And they didn't come out until the spring. Well, apparently I waited, or they waited too long to get back to me. And now the warranty is out. So now I will be held responsible for fixing the drainage issue that I never had with my other driveway. And they're not accepting responsibility for fixing my cracked cap of my brand new porch, that is two years old.I'll even say two and a half years old.Do not use them do not back up their work.I've had two guys come out and notice the issues they said they'd call me back.And neither one em have called back.I've had a call back both times called back recently.I was told it was my problem.It's out of warranty.Blah blah blah blah blah blah.Stay away from them and they're very expensive for the work that they do shoddy.Shoddy shoddy, customer service piss.Poor never use them. read more

Pathetic. What a fu..ing nightmare. 6 weeks waiting when they said 2 And lied about why. Didn't say what time they'd be here my car was in the garage and couldn't get it out for 3 weeks. Trashed my sprinklers that were along the concrete which i am unable to locate and took away all the turf surrounding them leaving 7" void all the way around the sides of all the concrete they poured.I have to buy sod to fill it in, left mud and white residue in the street. Olson Concrete is the WORST ...they're taking advantage of consumers and their hard earned money by providing an unprofessional (unfriendly)services with subpar products.   Olson installed our driveway in the summer of 2022 and it's already coming apart. When I reached out to Olson to see if the company can help with any solution or help they refused and continue to say it is normal for the concrete to break up in Michigan and to by a sealant from Home Depot after a year and half? Unacceptable. This is unbelievable and untrue because my neighbor had his driveway done a year prior and there's no lifting or damage on his driveway as of date. Olson is a ripoff stay away and make sure you know about the quality of work your contractor does. Words cannot express our disappointment concerning the service received. And this will not be the ENDING Olson we continue to hear from me. read more

We had Olson replace a large amount of concrete around our house. For the most part the work was excellent. Unfortunately when I informed them that they left an 8 foot wide rough ridge directly in front of our main entry, they will not return to correct it. I have made several calls to the office who keeps telling me the will fix it, but it has been months. The salesman, John Hamel won't even answer or return my calls. Now when all my family comes for the holidays they will see this ugly, raised, rough line across the landing. Don't do what I did. Hold your payment until the job is completed to your satisfaction. I wish I hadn't paid them. read more

I contracted Olson to pave my entire driveway last summer. This past spring as the winter thawed out I began to notice cracking and flaking in my newly poured driveway. I reached out to the business to inform them of the issue and they sent the owner out to assess the situation. He determined it was a bad batch of cement that was poured in my driveway and seven....yes seven other local jobs they performed around the same time last year in the Canton, MI area had the same problem. They assured me they will take care of the problem by repaving the driveway, unfortunately my patience have run out after four months of phone calls and broken promises. No one has proactively called me to give me an update and I've had to call several times a month to ensure they haven't forgotten about me. They've shown no value in providing good customer service when all it would take is a simple phone call or a letter of intent to put my mind at ease. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt however they have done a poor job of keeping in communication with me. I'll continue to update this review as events unfold. read more

They've been in the business for years. I found them when they were repairing the sidewalks here in Ypsilanti & contracted with them to do my driveway. I couldn't be happier. They came in with the lowest bid of everyone I contacted & they did an excellent job. The bid included disposing of all the old driveway which most others didn't. They came in an took out the old driveway, graded and poured the new one all in one day and it was one of the HOTTEST days in the year last summer. The grade was perfect, not any snow runoff ran towards the basement or in the garage this spring. The owner, Dave comes by to inspect the job before it is finished although mine was a relatively small job for them. I wish I could find this caliber of work more often! read more

Every time we talked to the salesman, he gave us a different story... told us we had to do extra cement work to bring the sidewalk up to code... found out later that was not true. We called the office to talk to the boss and they were to text him to call us. Salesman is now saying boss did the job. read more

I had an appointment setup for a Thursday at 11:30. When nobody had shown up by 1:00 I called the company to get an idea of when the estimator would arrive so I did not waste my time waiting. The woman that took my call told me that she would contact the estimator and have him call me. I got no callback and nobody showed up. I left a message the next day as well as putting in a quote request through the web site explaining that nobody had shown up for a previously scheduled appointment. Still no response. They obviously do not want me business and after that I would not give it to them. If they cannot even show up for an estimate I would not trust them to do a project. read more

We have used Olson now for two separate jobs: 2011 we had a very large patio put in (all done over two day's), and we LOVE it; and this year they are putting in our "shed" (24x18) and we are only three days into the job and the walls are up already. They are fast and clean up as they go. We have recommend Olson to everyone we know that needs work done. read more

Olsen performed work in our Canton neighborhood and in the process damaged the blacktop rood just off the driveway they replaced. Talked to one of the construction workers at the time the road was damaged and he assured me it would be repaired. Also called the company and informed them. Their response was "send me some pictures" but we won't repair it. Then it was "Ok we will repair it". Repair was very shoddy and within 2 days the black-top broke up again. Called Olsen again and was informed that no further repairs would be made. I asked to meet someone at the site to discuss it and this request was denied. Asked the spokesperson if I could speak with someone else and was told NO. Asked the spokesperson's name for a point of contact and that was denied. They just said Olsen Concrete. When I said this would be posted on social media was told "go ahead". All we are asking for is a repair of the road area that they damaged. Nothing more. Our roads are a private subdivision and all residents will have to be charged for repairs if they refuse to perform decent repairs . Now this does not seem fair as Olsen Contracting did the damage. read more

I have been a homeowner for more than 30 years, and this is by far the absolute WORST company I have ever contracted with for work of any kind on any of my homes. Not only did they misrepresent the time the job would take, they failed to follow through on a number of items they indicated they would take care of before, during, and after the job. They damaged my landscaping as well as the siding on my garage, drilled a hole for my gate in the wrong place, and left a mess at the end of the job that I had to clean up myself. I am still waiting for them to call me back to set up a time for someone to come out and fix my gate and my garage. If the time it took them to complete the job is any indication, I will be waiting a long time. Most of the employees from salesperson to office staff to foreman were rude, misleading, and uncaring. I do NOT recommend this company. read more

Contacted a number of concrete companies to do work for additional cement needs. Olson sent sales person right out and he provided a quote. Had to contact sales person a couple of times to confirm the quote and ask questions. Sales person sent out new detailed quote responding to all my needs. The work was done very timely - and, in an efficient manner. Clean up was great. My only beef is the clarification of payment. I provided the required deposit. Asked the workers on-site at my house during the completion if I should write a check for hte balance and provide to them to take back to office. I was advised "NO - the office will send invoice". That was on a Saturday. By Thursday the next week I receive a phone call advising that I was past due. I very clearly indicated the conversations with the workers and indicated I had not yet received a final billing invoice I drove to the office that same day and paid balance. The office personnel indicated that it was just an error. The work is good - just completed within the last week. I will re-post 1 year from now to see if the workmanship is up to par. However- I would do business with Olson again. read more

Olson sucks. Yes, they have been in business a long time and have sucked for that very same amount of time! My father had a driveway and garage pad done by them in the 80's and as other people commented recently, flaking and spalling! Likewise, I know people that requested quotes from them prior to contacting me and they were the highest of quotes returned! They suck. DO NOT USE THEM and look elsewhere. read more
