What an amazing business…read more I was looking for a used golf cart for our seasonal RV located at the Clearwater Forest Resort two weeks ago in South Haven, Mn. A family friend recommended Winters Recreation located about an hour away in Sauk Centre. He bought his new golf cart there (thanks Bobby for the recommendation). I called Winters Recreation and talked to Ethan about my options and financing. Ethan was very clear and concise, and answered all my questions. I told him I would confer with the warden, I mean wife, and let him know the following day. The next day, Ethan called me back, and walked me through the order, and explained the financing options. I ended up buying a used 2022 golf cart that was fitted with a new single lithium battery (vs 6 conventional batteries!) that had an 8 year limited warranty. I extended that warranty to a limited lifetime battery replacement due to how expensive a new lithium battery replacement could be. Often running about $3000 or higher. I also asked for them to install a trailer hitch, bought a cover, and requested delivery to the Clearwater Forest Resort. Ethan said no problem. The delivery (in state) of the cart was broken down to two options. One week delivery or a two week delivery. I opted for the two week delivery from a little over $100, as that was cheaper than the one week option. Ethan then transferred me over to Jacob, who was in charge of financing. Jacob broke down the numbers for me, and took an extra $100 off the price due to their First Responder discount (thanks Jacob!). I got a good deal, and signed the paperwork online. Jacob said that someone from the delivery division would be contacting me by phone in a couple of days. Sure enough, the next day, I received a phone call saying the golf cart would be delivered to the campground by next Tuesday. Mind you, this was within a week delivery, not two! That was a nice surprise. Wow. Talk about customer service. There is a reason that Winters Recreation is the Midwest's largest custom golf cart and utility golf cart supplier. Just look at their reviews. Thank you Ethan and Jacob! I'll pass on how professional you guys are. Excellent service!

GO ELSEWHERE!!…read more Brought my boat in to get fixed on Thursday, May 28th over the lunch hour. Spoke to Jon in service and he said he would look at it and probably that Tuesday. I told him I wanted the boat whether it was fixed or not for the following Saturday for a fishing tourney. The boat still worked fine but just had to use the trim manually. He actually called me Saturday which was earlier than expected and told me it was a switch issue for my trim and he said parts would be arriving in 2 days. Well 2 days turned into 2-1/2 weeks. After parts arrived he called and listed a few other "issues" and said the trim motor was starting to go out and he recommend I get that replaced. I told him I wanted the boat back for the 4th of July. He told me 2 days for parts to arrive. Well those 2 days turned into weeks once again. Received a call on July 15th my boat was FINALLY ready! What should've bee 2-4 days turned into 2 months!! Find a different place to have your toys serviced!! Jon blamed it on the supplier, but don't consistently tell me 2 days if your supplier is supposedly behind and you can't get parts!! Never even received a discount, sorry, or anything from this place!! I could buy brand new parts on Amazon or even eBay and get them delivered well before 2 weeks!!

Here is a copy of what I sent directly to Boomerang: (I wish…read moreI only looked into them before my purchase) I'm writing because I believe you should know why you've lost a customer. I purchased a brand-new UForce 600 from your dealership, and within two weeks I was already bringing it back for service. The battery was defective and needed to be replaced under warranty. The coolant was low, which I was told was part of the break-in period. The gear shifter was extremely difficult to operate, and I explained to Brett that this was especially concerning because my daughter, who is battling Diffuse Midline Glioma, rides this machine. Instead of addressing the concern, I was told to rock the machine back and forth. I also had an aftermarket Bluetooth speaker removed from the machine. When I picked it up, the speaker had simply been thrown into a garbage bag and left inside the UForce. It may seem minor, but it reflected the level of care I experienced throughout the entire visit. I also asked Brett to identify a part that had fallen off while driving. He told me it would be about $80 in labor to install the replacement. I declined and said, "Just order the part. I'll install it myself." What he failed to tell me was that I would be charged just to identify and order the part. When I paid, I signed an itemized repair order. Afterward, I was handed a completely different receipt that only showed the total amount paid with no breakdown of the charges. Only after questioning the bill did I learn I had been charged 0.2 hours of labor to look up the part and a $39 miscellaneous fee that no one could explain. Those charges were never disclosed beforehand. None of this is about the money. It's about honesty, transparency, and treating customers with respect. Hidden charges, unexplained fees, poor communication, and careless handling of a customer's property are not the level of service anyone should expect--especially after purchasing a brand-new machine. I'm not writing to ask for anything. I simply want you to know that this experience ensured I will never do business with Boomerang again. I will purchase my future machines and service elsewhere, and I will share my experience honestly whenever someone asks where they should buy theirs.
