Just off main street, you'll walk in to a beautiful room with walls of books surrounding you. But the first thing you'll see is the astounding art scattered around the walls. Truly lovely paintings (my favorites involved dogs) that made you feel like you were in a really elevated store. There were different book selections, though it wasn't too overwhelming that you had analysis paralysis in what to choose. THE STORY. We were chatting with the owner, who mentioned that she had written a book the previous year called Death is My Life. And she was describing her life who were really struck with everything that she had been through and bought ourselves a copy. Her significant other was in the back room doing the accounting and he was just as friendly. It was so lovely seeing these two people, and they really mentioned their appreciation that we stomped by not only to support a local bookstore, but to support a local bookstore in the off-season. We chatted a bit about what books were good, and ended up buying two that we'll read while here and on the plane ride back home. Do yourself a favor. Stroll through main Street, stop in this beautiful little bookstore, and buy a book to keep the spirit of this town going strong.

We fell in love with an old artwork of Chincoteague displayed at a local restaurant, and we visited this store hoping to find a copy. Store owner went above and beyond to go through their collections to find exactly we were looking for. This made our day! During the checkout, we noticed a big bumble bee and Bernie Saunder's crochet displayed (not for sale) by the counter, and the store owners told us that the local lady made those crochets for them. We couldn't get over how cute and well-made they were, then the store owners even offered to contact her for us! This was our first time visiting this store, and we will be returning every time we travel to Chincoteague!

The interior is so cute! There is a lovely bar top meant for reading a book while sipping on wine. There is an extensive shelving unit filled with bottles of wine to purchase. Each bottle of wine has a tag around the neck giving a vivid description of the wine. I appreciated that the wine pricing averaged $25 which is within my budget. The selection of books is fantastic. I recognized so many authors and also discovered new books I want to read. I told the manager how in love i am with this store and she shared they also host book clubs and events. If I was not a tourist I would definitely become a member of their book club. The manager helped me pick a lovely bottle of white wine to take home. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was about the wine which is remarkable given how large the selection of bottles is. I will likely come back to pick up merch. If there arent enough female characters in a book, it gets an automatic downgrade from staff. How drunk do I have be to spend $ on an anti AI book? Yep, they have an anti AI section. The good news?
