    Books!
    Shannon L.

This is such a great little used bookstore! I could spend hours there. It's extremely well organized and the books are super reasonably priced- $2.95 for a small paperback, $3.95 for a medium paperback and $4.95 for a hardback book. They are all in excellent condition and I love that they have a beach reading section in the back. In fact they have much more than books - they're attached to a toy store and music store and you can buy things like rubber stamps, pez dispensers, amazeballs postcards featuring things like classic rock bands (and the Monkees!), horror and sci fi movies, and so much more. Postcards and pez dispensers are 75 cents each. There is also art for sale by a couple local artists and it's great! I was partial to the cat art but there are other fun, colorful options too. So go for the books - plenty of current choices! - but leave time to check out toys and ukeleles and art and much more!

This place is sooooo worth dropping in! My family and I are in town on vacation and I am a true book lover, so of course I found this place online. Turning Pages is the cutest place with something for EVERYONE! My little ones found great pop-up books and bedtime stories, my pre-teen found a few hard to find comic books and a cool anime book that you are supposed to read backwards. I of course found about half a dozen treasures to discover that I can't wait to read and hopefully love! I also found the cutest wallet for book lovers that was a must have!!!! Love, Love, Love Turning Pages

Fun place to explore. Miss of new and old books. Love the coffee shop attached that included some sandwiches and açaí bowls.

Outside the store front was easy to find and entrance labeled. Nice location being on a busy local beach street - I visited here on vacation so definitely can see that this is a great place to stop in for tourists while also could cater to locals. Inside, the store itself felt tidy with things put away and things looking clean. I love it when shelves look dusted and centered, and I hate to see trash thrown around the store (I know it is not store's fault that customer litters - it just makes me hate people in general when I see it). Genres and sections were labeled so it was easy to glance at the signs and try to figure out where things were. Things were marked and priced fairly considering it was a small business. The displays were adorable. I felt like there was a wide mix of different curated interests in each section. I adored the Off-Campus display and the Dolly Parton (RIP) display. I noticed a coffee shop area in front corner area of store - I did not purchase anything from it or pay much attention to it, but it looked like a plausible option if you wanted to get a beverage and browse. Staff was very helpful and gave great customer service. Very pleasant during checkout. At one point an associate saw me looking at items behind the register and offered assistance. Embarrassingly I ended up thinking I lost my water bottle in the store and the store associates kindly took down my phone number and offered to call me if they found it! It was very nice consideration although I will note that I found it in a different store I stopped in, so cannot confirm if they would actually call you if you lost something there. But they gave the energy they would! I ended up buying some plushies and stickers! Overall, I enjoyed my time there! Seems like a great friendly place you can go in to look for a specific book or casually browse. A wide multitude of different things to browse or purchase, products fairly organized and prices seem very fair!

The people there are always so nice and there's never been a time that I've gone that there weren't empty spaces on the shelves where a book is supposed to be. On top of that, I absolutely love how cozy it feels in there, especially seeing as it's one of the smaller storefronts downtown. So basically long story short, I highly suggest going and checking this place out if you want a good book to read, which they have plenty of.

Just off main street, you'll walk in to a beautiful room with walls of books surrounding you. But the first thing you'll see is the astounding art scattered around the walls. Truly lovely paintings (my favorites involved dogs) that made you feel like you were in a really elevated store. There were different book selections, though it wasn't too overwhelming that you had analysis paralysis in what to choose. THE STORY. We were chatting with the owner, who mentioned that she had written a book the previous year called Death is My Life. And she was describing her life who were really struck with everything that she had been through and bought ourselves a copy. Her significant other was in the back room doing the accounting and he was just as friendly. It was so lovely seeing these two people, and they really mentioned their appreciation that we stomped by not only to support a local bookstore, but to support a local bookstore in the off-season. We chatted a bit about what books were good, and ended up buying two that we'll read while here and on the plane ride back home. Do yourself a favor. Stroll through main Street, stop in this beautiful little bookstore, and buy a book to keep the spirit of this town going strong.

What an amazing concept! Wine and books?! Does it get better than this?…read more I happened upon this store as I was picking up groceries nearby. When I saw wine and books I had to pop in. The interior is so cute! There is a lovely bar top meant for reading a book while sipping on wine. There is an extensive shelving unit filled with bottles of wine to purchase. Each bottle of wine has a tag around the neck giving a vivid description of the wine. I appreciated that the wine pricing averaged $25 which is within my budget. The selection of books is fantastic. I recognized so many authors and also discovered new books I want to read. I told the manager how in love i am with this store and she shared they also host book clubs and events. If I was not a tourist I would definitely become a member of their book club. The manager helped me pick a lovely bottle of white wine to take home. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was about the wine which is remarkable given how large the selection of bottles is. I will likely come back to pick up merch. I never want to forget about visiting this unique and adorable small business.

They take credit cards!!!…read more I read about The Dollar Book Shuffle on a website that highlights fun things to do in Delaware. Since Trap Pond State Park was already on my radar, I was psyched to discover they are just 9 minutes apart. The sign out front says they're open 5 days a week, but a handwritten notice on the door explains they are currently only open 3 days (Fri, Sat, Sun). Everything inside is $1ea, with baby books only $0.50ea, or you can fill a bag with baby books for $10! They have over 40,000 used books, and over 15,000 DVDs and CDs. I asked about organization to help me get to what I needed quickest, and they said apart from genre categories, they don't have the manpower to further organize. That was understandable, especially for the price. I appreciated that things were at least divided into genres. I'd hoped to be able to spend more time there, but my pontoon boat tour of Trap Pond afforded me only a half hour. I bought 14 books, and paid $14 even on my credit card. I spent my time in the children's book section. There were some award winning writers, like Mem Fox, a bunch of vintage books I found interesting, a couple story anthologies (always good to have a couple of those), some nonfiction animal/atlas/truck/etc. books, and a bunch of decent quality late20/21st C story books. I got a mix and was pleased. They did have some of those licensed character crap books, written like junk, just to capitalize on Elmo, Disney, etc. but they were easy enough to weed through. I regret I did not get to look through more book sections, nor the DVDs/CDs. It felt a bit hot inside, and I don't think they have a/c (or it is broken), but it's not terrible. The building is like a pole barn with concrete floor, so it may just not have HVAC in it. Just something to note in extreme heat or cold. All in all, a really great store and fun experience. They are almost 3 hours from my home, but I would love to return when I'm in the area again!
