I am absolutely upset with the service I received yesterday. On Monday I purchased a pair of shoes for myself and my child, plus some clothes items. I ended up wanting to exchange my shoes for a different size , so I took them in yesterday to exchange them. They didnt have the size I needed which was fine, so I found different shoes, that cost twice as much. I loved them. The problem was I needed help getting them off the shelf, the only one was out was the display one that I tried on but the box was way up high and it was the only one. I found a guy that worked there who was already in the shoe isle. I asked him for help, he was busy chatting on his phone before he even acknowledged me, and when I told him the situation, he told me to "just check behind the boxes lower down that you can reach and maybe you'll find one." Naturally I did that first before asking for help. I told him I did that and only see the 1 display box that had the other shoe in it. He told me " Its probably not even in there." He would not help me. SO I went to the counter and returned my shoes rather than giving them anymore of my money. I told the guy at the counter that I wanted to just return because nobody was willing to help me. All he said was :Sorry bout that." I wont be shopping there again which sucks because I spend alot of money there. read more

I always love going into this store. I find the best deals on snacks for my little ones lunches & a lot of bath items like wash, shampoo, & conditioner. The deals are great & the staff is fantastic. The only downfall is that all the times I've gone in, there is usually only 1 register open. I always feel bad for that one cashier being the only one open & usually there are quite a few people waiting. read more

An interesting store, for sure. Some pretty decent discounts on a lot of things, and then other prices are comparable to typical retail. But you won't really "overpay" for anything. It's like a Big Lots, but more interesting in my opinion because it's a more random assortment. I think one of their pieces of marketing literature compares it to like a treasure hunt, which is a fair analogy. Items are still in sections though, so you can still generally find what you're looking for. The only other review for this store is from a person who has rated it poorly multiple times, yet for some reason kept going back. I'm not sure what this place was like 2 or 3 years ago, but it's a great store in my opinion, and obviously it had some appeal for that person. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some of the bigger items of interest in the back were hard to check out because they were surrounded by other items that would need to be moved. There were also books high up on shelves with no apparent way to reach them and tell what all was up there. The store is relatively clean though. Also, would not say the store is a good spot for electronics, but books, some of the foods, various smalls (and some bigs), and even some essentials like cookware can be gotten for some good prices. They also have a moderate collection of DVDs, but don't expect anything too big name. The other person complained about music. I didn't notice anything about the music that really stood out. I also haven't had to deal with returns, but I've been a couple times, and it's a fun little store. It's the type of place where you have to just go in randomly and periodically, because they're liable to have something for cheap that you can use for that thing you've been meaning to do, but hadn't gotten around to yet. For example, my first purchase was $7 for a specific investment book (of all things) I hadn't been able to find anywhere local, and nowhere online for less than like $20, without shipping. This was probably the last thing I thought I'd buy here when I first walked in. So don't go in expecting to find a deal that'll change your life. But if you've got time to look around, and enjoy searching for a good buy, definitely check it out. read more

I've found it be an interesting store of stuff. They have this commercial in the store, "old cheap stuff. Or is it "good stuff cheap. Not going to buy anything much there again over ten bucks. Bought an item that was almost a hundred dollars on Monday. Took it home to find it was a really poor quality item and returned it on Tuesday with the credit going back on my debit card. With the way banking works now this credit can appear almost immediately in your checking account. Not here after three days. Called them and the woman lied saying it could take up to ten days. I asked her what bank they used and found it was the same as mine. Called the bank to see what's going on. Since we share the same bank, he could look at their account and told me they hadn't even initiated a return from their side. Sure, it'll take ten days if they don't turn it in. I got the refund on Sat. What they did I think was hold onto this money for the end of that business week to make their sales look better. The bank told me to go come in on Monday with the credit receipt that they gave me to begin proceedings for a reverse charge from them. That's poor business practices. Maybe they needed that money to get ollie's teeth fixed. read more

I've visited the Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Warner Robins (not Macon)..but I'm an instant fan. I discovered Ollie's after a commercial on television talked about their sale of adult coloring books.. after entering the store, I was hooked. If you're looking for deals on books or other items, Ollie's is definitely one of the better places to shop. This store is definitely not for snobs who just enter a place for the experience or feel of a store. If you're a person who values experience over savings, then don't shop at Ollie's. This store has an almost warehouse feel. Ollie's is the best when it comes to finding huge discounts on books. They sell stuff that would normally sell at much higher prices (especially cookbooks). Their prices are even less than the top big online retailer who will go unnamed. I have found cookbooks for 80 percent off retail. I bought 10 brand new cookbooks (Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, Cooking Light, big-named chefs) for a total of $30. It would normally cost me $250 for the same books retail. Although Big Lots sells some best seller books, in my opinion, Ollie's has a much better selection. The deals at Ollie's, in my opinion, are much better as well. I always do a comparison shop online before purchasing in some cases. The reason why they can sell so cheap is they purchase overstocked and salvage inventories. The most frustrating thing, though, is that you have to grab something and buy it when you see it, or it will sell out quickly. You'll find items you'll see sold on television informercials, other times you'll find close-in deals on shoes, heaters, cookers, etc; It's a bonanza. The fun of shopping at Ollie's is you never know what will show up, but you must grab it quickly, because it will sell out quickly. Example: I put back a cookbook that I thought would stick around... by the time I returned, it was sold out. I think some people purchase these items and resell them for a higher return online..but, that's just me guessing. Again, for those who prefer to do their shopping at a higher-end store, Ollie's won't be for you. But for smart shoppers who love a good deal, then Ollie's is perfect place. I read more

My main complaint is that of the women's restroom. My young granddaughter needed to go. This was the NASTIEST restroom I believe I've ever entered and I've been in some bad ones. It was DISGUSTING to say the least!! I told my little one let's wait and I'll take you somewhere else. She said she couldn't wait. NASTY...SMELLY...NO LOCKS ON ANY DOOR...NO TISSUE. There is NO EXCUSE for this. There are enough employees walking around that this shouldn't be a problem!! I don't know if the Board of Health can do something about this since it's not in a restaurant. But for a company that wants customers this isn't the way to do it!! Also...employees are less friendly than those at Walmart and that's not good either. I would give it a NO STAR rating but it won't let me. read more

I LOVE Ollie's! It's a BARGAIN OUTLET & really delivers! I make sure I have plenty of time to look around because I can't make myself leave. There are plenty of name brands and a ton of books. Am drinking some coffee now that I bought there tonight and I intend to go back to stock up tomorrow. The employees were very friendly and helpful and the music wasn't blaring (as another reviewer went on & on about). I went in looking for storage items and as usual found much more. BTW lots of Adult Coloring Books for $4.99 that are exact same as other stores sell for double. If you are into "Smart Shopping" then I seriously recommend Ollie's! read more

So far what I have bought from Ollie's I have been pleased with. I got a room size rug, a couple of copper cooking pans, a lot of food, many books, bed sheets that are WONDERFULLY soft just to name a few. You do have to do some selective shopping though. I go about once every couple of weeks and just look to see what new stuff they have gotten in and what has been marked down. It's usually worth the trip. read more

I have been here several times, if you are not expecting it to be like a regular store, then you should not be disappointed. They buy large warehouse closeouts and resale at lower than normal prices. Not give away prices but lower than at a regular store. If you want a great selection of one type of item then don't go here, and if you see something here once, it might still be there next month but not likely. Their furniture is on par as what you would get at WM or $ General, cheap, college dorm type stuff. The clothes are seconds/irregulars but a good value if you want cheap clothing (think B turner type clothes). Lots of re-manufactured electronics and low end electronics, good for kids because its not costing an arm and leg if they break it. The most fun is their seasonal goods, they usually have a large variety of seasonal items. As far as the other reviewer complaining about the music, get over it. read more
