On-time and on-budget we got an electronic design guide, along with a fully linked shopping list for all of our items. The items really felt like us--from a crazy green loveseat to an adorable line-drawn cat pillow--and came from a variety of sources. We've chosen to pull the room together slowly, which, with a little legwork, is letting me buy some of the items as they go on sale. I LOVE the final design--even in our tiny space she figured out a dedicated play space for our daughter!--and am so excited to see everything pull together. So, what I'm saying is, hire Lesley. So, after a 30.7 mile drive (one way; the bane of small town living), it turns out that he couldn't fix it. :-( Located in an older part of Macon, this shop is actually bigger than it looks. When I got there, and he saw the base had a Threaded Coupling, vs a Threaded Rod, he actually started apologizing right then. He said, The company who made this lamp is out of business. And, I've been trying to find threaded couplings without success (he even took me in the back work room, and showed me another lamp that has the same problem. He also showed me a new lamp whose rod was slightly angled, and when assembled, would be leaning slightly). While we talked about alternatives (welding, gluing, or buying a new lamp), I found that he really knew his business. So, even though he was unable to fix it, I wouldn't hesitate to refer you to him.

I ended up wanting to exchange my shoes for a different size , so I took them in yesterday to exchange them. They didnt have the size I needed which was fine, so I found different shoes, that cost twice as much. I loved them. The problem was I needed help getting them off the shelf, the only one was out was the display one that I tried on but the box was way up high and it was the only one. I found a guy that worked there who was already in the shoe isle. I asked him for help, he was busy chatting on his phone before he even acknowledged me, and when I told him the situation, he told me to "just check behind the boxes lower down that you can reach and maybe you'll find one." Naturally I did that first before asking for help. I told him I did that and only see the 1 display box that had the other shoe in it. He told me " Its probably not even in there." He would not help me. SO I went to the counter and returned my shoes rather than giving them anymore of my money. I told the guy at the counter that I wanted to just return because nobody was willing to help me. All he said was :Sorry bout that." I wont be shopping there again which sucks because I spend alot of money there.

NOTE: this review is relative to the quality of the candle, not the store itself…read more We bought this Lavender Petals triple wick candle from Kirkland's during a sale and did like the scent it put off, though its not nearly as strong as the candles they used to have in taller and thicker jars. What I was most disappointed in was how much wax is left and the wicks are used up. One of the pics shows the silver metal wick base sticking out of each one. There is also a pic showing the nearly inch of wax wasted, that I paid for but can't use. Definitely not worth the price, even on sale.
