I am giving one star for the kind lady at the register. Other than that, I don't see a reason for returning to this place.

I'm surprised to find such a negative review of Wear. My experience there has been as a donator of clothes rather than a buyer, but I am always impressed by the quality of the clothes and the low prices, which are often marked down further for special sales. And Heatherly seems to go out of her way to assist customers who need it. If I were in the position of acquiring clothes rather than needing to thin out my closets, I would definitely be shopping at Wear. From what I can tell, it's definitely the high-end thrift store in Macon, head and shoulders above Goodwill, the Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army. So I wonder what the previous reviewer is comparing it to. Consignment shops? Prepare to pay more, from what I can tell. New shops? Prepare to pay MUCH more, obviously. Once when I was donating clothes at Wear, I overheard a conversation about a customer having bought a Georgio Armani suit there for $10. I think that had actually been a mistake on the part of Wear -- but even if the suit had been $15 or $20, where else are you gonna find that? read more

My experience with Wear was very good because the items that I bought were exactly what i wanted and from what i saw when i shop there is a good selection line of clothes. They even have a After-five line of wear, so don't say negative thing about Wear line of clothes until you know what they have inside. When you buy something from Wear just remember that you are helping our homeless men and women who need our support everyday. read more

There were a lot of brand new wigs for about $10 a pop, and many racks with costumes. Also noticed quite a few new/like new pairs of shoes that were going only for $7 (including a pair of stylish pumps that would normally go for $40+ at the mall). The only thing I bought was a book for 25 cents at their Last Chance store next door. I seriously need to come back here on a weekly basis to hunt for children's books. Such a great deal!
