The woman on the phone passed me to a Derrick (I believe that was his name) who told me that the people he needed to contact to see if it could be done were not there since it was a weekend. He promised he would call me back in regards to the return. The website is very deceiving regarding returns. On the mattress page, it states no hassle refunds, but when you actually go to their Q&A section, hassle free returns EXCEPT for mattresses. I never heard back from Grand's. Advice? Just go to BeautyRest's site, as they do guarantee hassle free returns themselves and it is the same price.

I have asked ladies there about items and they would tell me that they did not have those items and the same exact items would be in the store on the shelf. They were just too lazy to look. Even the main manager there is not a personable person to ask for help. Not friendly at all. Now to my point. I gave the store another shot on Saturday evening. The young man that helped me was amazing. He has redeemed the store. I think his name was either Steven or Stephan. He had the nicest demeanor to him and told me that in the future to just ask for him if I ever had any questions or needed anything. It was important to me to have a photo of each arrangement on…read moremy son's grave as I live out-of-state and seeing the flowers on his grave gave me great peace. Steve assured me this would not be a problem. I offered to pay extra but he declined. Our agreement was met always until August 2023. I ordered flowers but received no photo. When I called, Steve stated he was too busy to take photo. This was part of our original verbal contract. No apologies. I let it go even though I was very angry. Keep in mind I paid each invoice promptly 12/5/25, I called Steve. I explained it was the 20th anniversary of my son's death and I wanted to do something really specially for an arrangement. I found a Christmas tree I liked and placed ordered. I even decorated my home this past year. Christmas was my son's favorite holiday. I received no photo. On 12/15 I called Steve and he told me tree was sitting in front of store and would be delivered soon. Christmas came and went without another word. I called again around end of year and was told by Steve he was too busy to take photo and send to me, again, no apologies. I have not and will not pay invoice as Steve, owner has once again failed to fulfill his original verbal contract with me regarding the photos in in addition to just being irresponsible regarding entire situation.

The craft area of handcrafted merchandise has become not as sophisticated and high end workmanship. I noticed that change the last time I stopped through so that was disappointing. I used to often browse for gifts but that time nothing much to see. But on to my main thing -- the food. I'm actually heartbroken that now it's not in any way what it was. I learned that a few years back The Greenbrier Hotel stopped operating the dining room. And it shows -- they have remodeled and added tables. You no longer go through the cafeteria w the chance to see the grill and the food. And the food is pretty low to average score. The fried green tomatoes used to be pan cook w cornmeal and now battered and deep fried -- terrible the vegetable plate used to be amazing but barely edible. The cornbread used to be a large tender square delish but now a couple of tasteless muffins. My plate was served quickly and the food was barely warm. My friend's meal was very average, the salmon. The other was the soup and a side vegetable. Again average. I'm not sure why they lost The Greenbrier but it's not worth the cost. Still a nice place to walk around and stretch your legs but the food isn't worth the price and the crafts not at a high level. So a very disappointing meal. So you've been forewarned. All good things must come to an end.
