I never write reviews but I am just so impressed with the oil changes that I get. They are so friendly and accommodating.

I brought my car in for oil change on a Saturday b/c I had good luck with this dealership before…read more I had to prompt kid at the service desk to have car vacuumed and washed (both are supposed to be a courtesy for buying oil change). I got halfway home and realized my change, chap stick, and new pack of gum were gone. Nice. I went back to dealership to retrieve my personal possessions and was told "they were in the driver's side door" which was b.s. -- they were not. The kid who cleaned the car was standing there and had a guilty look on his face. Busted! I'm a mom -- I know guilt when I see it. Doubt I'll be back. Sad. UPDATE: Scott Deetz from MC Ford called me within minutes of my review post to get me to change my online review. They don't want a bad review, he said, "because it's not fair." I told him what's not fair is having $10 worth of stuff stolen, being lied to, and now he wants to make ME the bad guy?? WTF! I told him he needed to talk with his staff, train them to better serve their customers, and eliminate the ones that steal. He wanted me to come BACK to the dealership to "discuss" my "scathing review." As if that will make it right. His request almost sounded like a call to the principal's office. lol. As if ANYONE in their right mind would go to that. So he kept talking...and talking...and talking. Never have I heard anyone talk more without saying ANYTHING than Scott Deetz. He certainly loves the sound of his own voice. Yet he offered NO RESOLUTION in the twelve minute conversation so I told him that and ended the call. He called back saying "he was sorry we were somehow disconnected" when he knew full well I terminated the call due to his poor resolution skills and ineffective leadership. He offered no apology, did not accept responsibility, and offered no resolution to the problem. I want NOTHING more to do with this dealership. Period. I definitely will not be back.

Very disappointing experience. On August 27 at 7 pm, I signed a purchase agreement for a 2023 Ford…read moreEscape. Since my bank was already closed at that time, the finance manager assured me that I could bring the check the following day. The next day, August 28, I went to my bank, obtained the check, and returned at 2 pm to complete the purchase. To my surprise, the dealership had already sold the vehicle without notifying me. Selling a car under these circumstances shows a lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I will not be doing business with this dealership again, and I strongly advise others to be cautious.

But the customer service after purchasing this vehicle has been horrendous. 2 weeks after purchasing I found water in the taillights. They fixed this issue by replacing the outside taillights, when I asked for the inside ones to be replaced as well since they had just as much water in them they never did. Then a piece of chrome trim was falling off that I didn't notice, they fixed it (without asking), then I had a terrible wind noise from the driver door, they bent the chrome in multiple places on the edge of the door leaving noticeable creases, and I am still having this wind noise. Now since the day I bought this THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR car, literally on the test drive there was some sort of rattling sound that I thought was an unbalanced tire, as it didn't make the sound again for about a week after purchase. I've been bringing this car in MULTIPLE TIMES PER MONTH, and EVERY TIME I come in there to try and figure out this issue I get the run around. "It could be a hood latch" "it could be a hood hinges" "every other car makes the same sound" "bring it to our certified body shop, we can't diagnose it" "bring it to a different dealership we can't figure out the issue"(after they looked at it for quite literally 20 minutes) "this sound is normal on ford escapes" NO ITS NOT!!!!! THIS CAR DOES NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE ABOVE 60 MPH, IT SOUNDS LIKE AN AIRPLANE!!! I PURCHASED THIS CAR CERTIFIED PRE OWNED WITH THE SUPPOSED 170 POINT INSPECTION AND WARRANTY AND 100 PERCENT CLEAN TITLE WITH 14000 MILES!! How did I catch all of this within the first 3 weeks of owning it If there was a 170 point inspection done?? 5 months later and this car feels like it's going to fall apart at 60 miles per hour and above and they won't do a single thing about it. I've called MULTIPLE TIMES in the last 2 weeks and left messages, DURING BUSINESS HOURS, before 10 am, and have not received a call back. They said a month and a half ago they were ordering parts to fix this issue and they would be in within a week. None of these parts are causes of this KNOWN issue with this vehicle. And NONE of these parts have showed up yet, and I have no word on when these parts will be in. I have sent them multiple technical service bulletins and every time I send them they seem to be ignored and I'm always told they "can't find the technical service bulletin" when I send them full page documents with reference numbers, dates, and any other information they need to know, just because I purchased a car from a dealership with a warranty doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about, and I suggest if you want to keep a customers business, then you take their concerns seriously. My business will be taken elsewhere SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT, if I'M CATCHING ALL OF THESE ISSUES WITHIN DAYS OF PURCHASE, excellent sales experience, would not recommend coming here for anything else.

With the COVID-19 pandemic many dealers did not have what I wanted but this team didn't let that stop them. I worked with Drake who personally contacted other dealers in nearby states and was able to get the car delivered in Iowa. I even had my family in another state try to help me find the car in the color and specifications but they were not able to find it. It was at this dealership with their knowledge and research skills that they were able to find the car. Also, since this was my first time financing a car I wasn't sure what the process was but Sidney was very patient with me and helped me get a great deal! I took advantage of the special Toyota had and since I am going to be a new grad I was able to apply for that program as well. I got a fantastic deal and if you're looking to trade-in your car or are looking for a car and can't find it in Iowa be sure to stop in to Fort Dodge Toyota for your purchase! -MJ

I found a car I was interested in, and drove to Ft Dodge, from Des Moines to look at it. At first, I was afraid this was going to be another "Big Dealership" experience, where the interaction was going to be impersonal and the negotiations drawn out and painful. Boy, was I surprised. We were met immediately at the front door by a Salesman, who immediately helped us even though we were looking at the cheapest cars on the lot. The vehicle we test drove, and subsequently purchased was clean, fully operational, and exactly what the advertisement showed. This is one of the few used car dealerships I have ever found with a "7 Day, if you don't like it, bring it back!" guarantee. That made me feel quite a bit better about the quality of the cars I was looking at on this lot. But it gets better. After the price negotiation, which took about 5 minutes, they met the price we both felt was very fair for the car. The Sales Manager came over, and very carefully explained all the paperwork to my daughter, what each form was, and what it meant. My daughters eyes really lit up, as it was her first real "business" experience. When they heard it was her first car, the Store Manager came over and introduced himself to us, was genuinely excited that we had chosen their dealership as her first purchasing experience. This was probably the best dealership experience I have had in my 25 years of purchasing cars, and the next time I am in the market for a Ford, Toyota, Lincoln or any used car, Fort Dodge Toyota will be at the top of my list. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for New car, or a quality used car. I received no payment or incentive to write this review. This review is entirely from the heart of a very satisfied customer.
