This really is a fabulous place. We got the historic "water room" and bathing room. It's a very quiet setting. The owner is a doll although I spoke only on the phone. We were in passing the whole time. The a/c was good and cold. The layout is comfortable. It's really not a place for children AT ALL. This is an adult only establishment because all the rooms are 100% audible to each other. We could hear the next room noises. We could hear people upstairs. This wasn't bad though so don't take it like that. Imagine family coming together under one roof and you're just busy in your own room doing your own thing like watching TV and chitchat. It wasn't bad, it was quaint. If you're older, the beds have springs. My husband has bad shoulders and suffered. If we were younger there'd of been no issue but we are not young so, I'm not reducing the review for our physical ailments and shortcomings. I'd go back. Price was reasonable.

I love staying in small towns across Texas. I especially love seeing their historic hotels. Hotel Olle is one of my favorites by far. This precious 10 bedroom hotel is as full of wonderful people as it is full of history. When you stay here you will meet the wonderful owner Ms. Kathryn. She reopened the Olle Hotel under its original name in 2005. The current B&B was once a boarding house from the early 1900s through to the original owners (Mrs. Olle) passing in the 1960s. If you enjoy the beauty of history, the quiet or small town Texas and traditional southern hospitality (right down to homemade cookies for the guest) Hotel Olle is a must!

My man and I were riding in the MS-150 this weekend and chose this hotel to stay at due to its excellent reviews. And it didn't disappoint! It's a historical home, registered as such, converted into a cozy hotel complete with informational plaques about the history of parts of the home. The complimentary breakfast was better than any complimentary breakfast I've ever had anywhere. The smell alone could tempt the appetite of an epicure! And all breakfast drink preferences were catered to- juice, coffee, water, and hot tea packets were all provided with breakfast. The rustic antiquity and warm hospitality of this place made us feel right at home, and we would definitely come again!

Delightful vintage hotel with lots of history. Beautiful building in a darling small town-just a short drive to Round Top for Antiques Week. This hotel has the most comfortable lodging experience, being pampered each morning to a delicious breakfast of homemade casseroles, quiche, fresh fruits, and locally baked kolaches/pastries. And not to forget the wonderful coffees, hot teas, and juices offered. Our stay was so restful and cozy, a darling retreat from our days of vintage shopping/junking/and sight-seeing. This hotel is a must if you are visiting the area-especially during the Texas Antiques Week. Rates are more than reasonable for this 5-star luxury bed and breakfast! The hotel proprietor/hostess is lovely and provides such a welcoming visit to her inn.

A delightful, happy, delicious, destination. We stayed here in late June 2018 for about 5 days and enjoyed this wonderful B&B thoroughly. My son and I stayed in the Wagner House so that we had a kitchen and two very comfortable bedrooms. What a great decision that was! The photos of both the main house and the Wagner House do not do this place justice. It is amazing. Every detail is met, the decor, comfort, hospitality, and the warmest of welcomes. Our scratch made breakfasts were lovely. Our host, Ms. Katherine is an unbelievable baker. I just happened to notice a very small framed article on the wall of her dining room that described a baking competition in recent years that Ms. Katherine entered and won the Grand Prize with her award winning Pecan Pie which was auctioned off for a mere $7,000! Well, I did not get to taste that Pecan Pie, but I did get to indulge in her many delights each morning. Her quiche, breakfast enchiladas, savory breakfast casserole, hand-made danishes, and the like were scrumptious! There were plenty of help yourself all-day-long coffee, teas, and juices if you felt thirsty. My sister stayed in the main house and we three had a midnight ghost hunt one evening when she was the only occupant in the main home. It was fun! No ghosts though....darn. The Wagner House is a duplex shared with a sweet lady who was a lovely neighbor and offered cans of fancy feast to my teenage son who wanted to make friends with the few sweet cats that live on (not in) the property. She was a doll, thanks neighbor! Apparently, they have rescued some unwanted strays, spayed, neutered, health-checked them and now they lounge around here and there. It was very sweet. My son is a true animal lover and he was like the Pied Piper to them. There are a few good restaurants near by, all which Ms. Katherine will gladly advise you about, but one night I made a delicious dinner made from ingredients I bought from a delightful nearby market thoughtfully named "The Market", that my sweet neighbor advised me of. We also visited an interesting museum near The Market which was curated beautifully and it was very enjoyable. We saw one of the painted lady churches, and had a wonderful tour of the Shiner Brewery in nearby Shiner. I always do my research thoroughly before traveling anywhere and I am glad I did. Our stay in Flatonia was perfection. We will be returning next summer to this wonderful inn. Thanks Olle Hotel.

The most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in! My husband and I are touring around America for our honeymoon and after staying in a lot of great cities, wanted a relaxing rural stay for a night. The Olle is the perfect place to wind down, and so so luxurious. The interior decoration is pitch perfect, cow skins, embroidered linens, fine China, so gorgeous! The staff are really kind and friendly and the breakfast is amazing. Stay here!

A wonderful place to stay. As the other reviewers say it's very homey, and oh so classy. I'm sorry we only had one night to stay. We stayed in the Tauch room. There is a balcony to sit outside on, not adjacent to the room but nearby. We were visited by one of the owners cats while sitting outside which made us feel even more at home. The breakfast Katherine fixes in the morning is fabulous, and served on beautiful china with historic silverware. You will feel relaxed and transported back in time here, it's great!

    So relaxing! :)

Loving my stay at the Olle! Very homey and friendly place!! My husband and I had decided the day of that we would go and stay and it was a great choice. It's calming and relaxing to sit on a porch and swing and this was definitely the town and hotel to do it in! We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and anyone reading this review... Go and stay a night at the Olle!

Paranormal Activity Cut Our Visit Short!…read more We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend at Belle Oaks and were drawn in by the charming photos and description. But from the moment we arrived, it was clear that--while still beautiful--the inn was showing signs of wear, a faded echo of its restored glory from 20 years ago. What we liked: The property retains a nostalgic charm, with antiques adorning every corner. The hosts greeted us warmly and shared a bit of the inn's history. To their credit, they did warn us that the older electrical circuits might cause occasional flickering lights. What we didn't expect: Lights turning on and off by themselves. The television powering on in the middle of the night. Bed sheets being pulled off us while we slept. Feeling as if I was being touched and it wasn't my husband. The paranormal energy was far more intense than we'd anticipated--and ultimately, we decided to cut our trip short. Other concerns: The pool was dirty, and while breakfast was tasty, it was surprisingly sparse. As someone who's stayed in many bed and breakfasts, this was the first time I've encountered a buffet-style setup with no table settings, no water service, and a limited selection. We left both hungry and unnerved. Speaking with locals we learned that stories abound about hauntings in Gonzales.

We also go to Luling for sky activities, like hang gliding and skydiving, so it's nice to have a nice place to stay when we go. This place personifies excellent customer service, from beginning to end. For this stay, which was a birthday surprise for my partner, I had emailed for information to find the room with the biggest tub so he could have nice soaking baths, and they didn't just send the info, they sent along pictures to help me choose. Every room has a fridge, microwave, and a Keurig machine, although you have all of that available in the dining room as well. There is a giant grand piano you can play, and lots of lovely places to sit and relax.Every room (upstairs and down) has porch access, with rocking chairs and porch swings. And there are even road bikes you can borrow! Upon arrival, we were greeted like long-lost relatives, with homemade blondies and dipped berries waiting in our room. We were given a tour, and then Jessica dashed off to get us some ice at the market, so we could have some in our bourbon. The dining area has available at all times homemade goodies, juice, water, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and popcorn. You are NOT going to go hungry. And the breakfasts are to DIE for - so delicious! Terry, the owner, often comes and joins, and he and Jessica are delightful company. The rooms are huge, and decorated whimsically. Miss Annie's room even has a red silky robe for the ladies, because apparently Miss Annie used to garden in her red robe (ooh, la la!). The beds are very comfy, and there are easily 20 pillows with which to make yourself a nest - or perhaps a pillow fort. We also really enjoy sitting on the porch swings and having a cocktail or beer, just chilling. It's restful, it's delightful. This trip, on our departure Jessica remembered me telling her that I love urban foraging, and will make use of any leftover fruits and veggies people have, so she packed me a back of veggies from her garden, along with some more blondies for the road. She also packed up some snacks for us the previous day when we were heading out to spend the day waiting to jump out of a plane. Everything about this place is completely delightful. The service, the company, the atmosphere, the food, everything. I cannot possibly recommend it highly enough. As others have noted, yes, there are train tracks nearby, and you can hear the trains going by. If that's a problem, I'd suggest earplugs. For me, it's reminiscent of my childhood, so I don't mind. If you want to be pampered and enjoy a lovely environment for a weekend away, I can't recommend this highly enough. Stop in Lockhart on the way for some delicious BBQ. Luling has some BBQ also, if you don't feel like stopping. Make sure the check out the Farmer's Market too!
