If you are looking for a place to go for a quiet and relaxing break from your kids then this is the place to be. Waldo's is right on CO River and has only 9 spacious RV spots with full hookups. Cellular signals are strong, many free HD antenna channels, and if you desire more, wifi is also available. Location couldn't be better, it's like camping out in the country on a ranch with big beautiful old oak trees. We camp every Spring in Texas Hill Country and this is the most relaxing and enjoyable campground we've found, I've already made future reservations before we depart tomorrow. The area is full of history for you history buffs. In 30 miles or less you can drive to Fayetteville, Round Top, & La Grange.

You feel comfortable and welcomed immediately upon arrival. We've stayed in A LOT of B&Bs. This is hands down the cleanest, nicest one we've stayed in. SPOTLESS CLEAN. Smells good. Not damp or dusty like some places. The hotel has been redone and the integrity is honored here. We stayed in the Tauch Room upstairs. It is beautiful. The room is spacious with a seating area, wardrobe, robes, TV and nice bathroom and shower. The bathroom was spotless! The bed linens were amazing. I took a pic of the labels bc I'm going to order them for our home. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great too. It had a warm heater and it was cold outside. I highly recommend the Ollie hotel. The ladies who greeted us were friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. And the hotel is quiet. You will rest well here. And breakfast at Darlin's Diner is not to be missed. It's a short walk and is included in your stay. I hesitated to give an honest review here bc I don't want it to be packed and full when we return! it's a really lovely hotel!

A lovely stay includes a fully stocked kitchen (all you need to bring is your groceries). The single bath has a lovely claw foot tub and the shower can put out! Fluffy towels are available (not the cheap kind) and soaps, shampoo, and conditioner. We weren't sure what we would find to do but stayed busy by visiting nearby towns. There are some fun wineries that aren't far and the wildflowers were just beginning to pop. A lovely lovely place. I'd definitely come back. This little jewel is right across the street from the Schulenburg police department. The only downside is that there is a train that passes through several times a day and night. After the first night it didn't bother me but ear plugs are provided if you need them.

While heading to Houston we noticed the car wasn't keeping a charge and then make matters worse. We couldn't find an electric vehicle charging station called Hertz and told them our situation, which they didn't have much to say and give the impression they could've cared less. The only thing they told us when it dies call the roadside assistance hotline. So stressed out and practically out of power we saw a sign for Flatonia RV Ranch, so we figured they would probably have power outlets we could plug into and hopefully get enough of a charge to make it to a real charging station when we arrived at the parks office we were welcome by the resort manager, who took us to an open space with trailer hook ups and helped us plug-in our vehicle. She then said let's get you guys out of this heat and invited us into the clubhouse which had a A/C, Wi-Fi, and books to read. The resort manager told us to make ourselves at home while we waited for the rental car to charge. After a half an hour we went to check on the car and we had enough juice to make it to a supercharger station. We unhooked from the outlet and went back in to the clubhouse to thank the manager and to see what we owe her? She smiled and said we didn't owe her anything, but said if we needed to come back an plug-in again we were more than welcome to. It was really nice to see that good people still existed in this world and want her to know she made our day. I would recommend this place to everyone!!!

Staff at the park are friendly and inviting. The park can accommodate big rigs but be careful as…read morethe roads (dirt) in the park had some potholes. When we stayed (late Jan. of 2023), it was raining and because some of the sites can be on grass (like ours) you can sink in. We thought we would be fine, but when we got up in the morning to leave our tires could not gain traction. Luckily, we carry boards, and we were able to use them to get the coach moving and get out of the park. Our rig does weigh in at 44K Lbs. as we have a 45' Diesel pusher. Park is great for 5th wheels and travels trailers, but maybe not for big rigs. We will most likely not stay here again.

Also, there are 2 sinks but only one faucet worked & I'm assuming that bc of that, only one had soap. Other than those issues in the ladies room, this was a nice, convenient roadside stop. I stopped during the day so I can't tell you how well lit it is.
