Her massage studio is downstairs in her home, a completely separate location that is very professional. The room was nice and warm, the music was very relaxing, and the lighting was appropriate for the massage. After a discussion about different options, including cupping, I opted for a deep tissue massage to get out the soreness from traveling the day before. She is an experienced massage therapist and I could tell, based on the way she stretched certain parts of my body and the way in which she followed muscle groups. I highlyrecommend YJ massage. The price is more than reasonable, and because she works out of her home, she has more flexibility than a lot of places. She takes credit or debit cards, and her certifications are posted on the wall and current. She takes her time to understand any medical conditions that you have and is very cordial and respectful.

One woman spent a truly bizarre amount of my session rubbing my ribs and my left kneecap - I am not kidding, it was just beyond strange. Bright sides: the space is nice. The…read moreprevious owners never notified clients and the spa was just closed for several months with no communication about scheduled appointments, etc. I was grateful that my gift certificate was honoured by the new owners. I've now been two or three times under the new ownership. Sadly, the previous staff is gone -- who can blame them given the rocky transition. I had one or two favourite therapists and I miss them. The staff size has also been reduced so there is way less availability during the day. The massage therapist I've been seeing is good, but overall I feel the facility is losing ground. The place used to be immaculate and really felt like a spa like experience. I was in there last week, and spa shoes were dirty (they aren't cleaning them between clients - something I've noticed during previous visits), the floor has traces of salt and snow on it whereas it used to always be pristine, the decor is not as sleek as before -- there's a white leather couch that looks kind of tacky and holiday decorations that look the same. I always loved that they sent you away with a cup of hot tea. The tea is still there. I wasn't offered one during my last visit, but the time before was offered one -- so overall it's an inconsistent practice and I feel too silly to ask when not offered. I probably won't be returning once I use up my massage series, unless these new folks up their game soon.

If I wasn't moving back home I'd continue to come to this place and get my massages. Almost all of the masseuses here are amazing. One of them was average, but only because I don't like how she used too much of my massage time and talked like a physiotherapist instead of actually massaging me. Anyways, special shout outs to Denise, Caitlyn, and Kelly. And both of the receptionists that work here are also super nice.

I arrived at 9:50am for my 10am appointment, filled out paperwork, then went to the room and changed. The massage was good but then after the massage therapist said it was over and I got dressed I realized it was 11:17am so she finished at least 10-15 min early. At that point I wasn't going to get undressed again and finish the massage so I was disappointed. I don't think I'll be visiting again.

I've been coming here since it was opened and a massage here never disappoints. I usually get Gary and he's so good with his pressure and the fluid motion of his massage helps me relax. He also recognizes points that are tight and works out those knots. What I love about this place is the service, quality of massage and the setting. This place looks into the river and it's very quiet when you walk in. You don't hear the therapists talking away and that's what I don't want when I'm in a session. The service is one of the best. You're greeted in the waiting area with some slippers and a warm towel infused with a lemongrass scent to wash your hands. They add on about $75 worth of extras for free including hot stone, heat lamp, full body wash, aromatherapy, a bunch more and the newest addition is cupping. With this cold making its way through my system it's exactly what I need. Now onto the massage, I like deep massages and they get it right here. You can request the pressure when you fill out the form in the waiting area, along with the extras (free) that you want, and show them the areas to focus on and avoid. I always leave this place feeling better than when I arrived. What makes a massage good for me are; pressure, hand strength of the therapist and how fluid their motion is on my body. Some I've had elsewhere feel choppy and just not right. I've had reflexology, acupuncture and feet massages here and those were amazing as well. I love a long, good feet massage. The only thing is I always regret not booking for 90 mins!

I found another therapist who is really good at massage therapy on my back, neck and shoulders. I normally elevate to the hot stone massage as well which is great. I once had the face massage - not really my thing and my next app't I have elevated to the foot scrub which I have never tried. Yes the place seems to be bustling with people on the hour coming in for massage and people leaving from their massage, but to me that would indicate that its a pretty decent place to get a service if its that busy. I will admit that some of the girls at the front desk seem to always have issues with people's accounts etc. One of my credit cards was compromised so I had to have it cancelled. Massage Heights notified me that my credit card wasn't working for my monthly payment. I provided them with the new card but when I went to collect my receipt for my massage she said they didn't have a correct credit card on file for me and that my credit card was declined. I told her that I was contacted and that the situation had been rectified. She figured out the problem but its alittle emberassing when she says out loud "that my credit card was declined".........also they can never seem to find my account when I have been going to them for almost a year. All in all I find this location to be a good one, give it a try and find out for yourself.

I booked an hour long massage and only received a 45 minute - but was still billed for the full hour. The confirmation from Leela came in the form of a calendar booking, and is entirely misleading. My calendar was automatically blocked off for 75 mins, so when I arrived for my hour long appointment I was informed I was late, and only receiving a 45 minute massage. When I showed Admin the calendar booking, she told me there was nothing that could be done, and it was policy and I would be billed the full amount. I even suggested rebooking my next appointment as a 75 min, for a 60 minute charge and it was still rejected. There was no effort to work with the client on this mistake that is in their own booking software. It's too bad as I won't be returning.
