Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork.

THEN, I contracted COVID and was unable to make my appointment. Despite canceling on me for whatever reason, and despite being a regular, they charged me! I'm not arguing that businesses shouldn't have policies to prevent losing money and protect an artist's time and income, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't complain, I didn't make an issue, but what I DID do was never go back AND pull my daughter from the other salon they own. Bad business practices and treating not respecting regular clients' time has consequences... Avoid being treated like a number, plenty of better places right down the street. This business won't last.

I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. Daro consistently delivers a great cut, and the overall experience is well worth it. The salon is always clean, modern, and welcoming. Everyone from the reception team to the other stylists makes an effort to say hello and make you feel comfortable. One of my favorite parts of the experience is the hot towel service. The first barber I asked for it butchered it, mostly because he'd never done a long cut in his life. Gianni took one look, diagnosed what was actually going on up there, and got me to a halfway cut. A couple months later, the cut grew in as he planned and he took me from 80 to 100%, right in time for my vow renewal. His profile calls him the brushback king and I couldn't agree more. Fair warning: he's meticulous, so plan on real time in the chair. You get what you pay for! Also book ahead. At least a month, in my experience. Gianni's popular and I've never once seen anyone get off the waitlist. The shop itself is worth the trip on its own. Great furniture, plants everywhere, and a back patio you can sit on if you're early or just want to hang. Vibes and the place is always clean. Their systems are top notch too. Plenty of notice before your appointment, everything organized, they offer you a drink when you sit down, and they use good products from the wash through the styling. The host is always so nice, everyone there is personable, and the music's great. One heads up: no parking lot. During my previous visit, a hairstylist named Heidi gave me a really bad haircut. Even my wife noticed the difference. I was very upset and almost left a one-star review immediately, but I decided to be fair and give her another chance. When I booked my next appointment, I explained that my hairstyle had been a little different from usual last time. Instead of simply acknowledging my concern and trying to understand what I meant, Heidi repeatedly asked, "How different?" three times. Then, when she started cutting my hair, she told me that I could change my hairstylist anytime. Honestly, I was shocked by her response. I wasn't being rude or disrespectful; I was simply explaining my previous experience. The entire haircut became awkward and uncomfortable, and I ended up staying silent for the rest of the appointment. I don't understand why a simple comment about my hairstyle turned into such an uncomfortable interaction. The problem isn't just the haircut itself. Customer service means listening to feedback professionally and making customers feel comfortable, not making them feel awkward for expressing a concern. In my opinion, Heidi needs to improve her communication and customer service skills. Another thing worth mentioning: during in the past, another employee offered me a hair product in exchange for leaving a 5-STAR REVIEW. This made me question the authenticity of the business's reviews.
