When dining never felt so good * My first meal after lockdown was at @olivers_steakhouse in Oakville, and let me tell you, it was such a good choice. Although I don't mind doing take-out, there's just something about dining in that I love. The food was phenomenal here. Had a few dishes from their menu and everything was executed perfectly. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and there was a nice calm ambience. Pictured here are: *Steak Tartare *Caesar salad *Shrimp cocktail *Scallops *Lobster gnocchi Check out @ooi.eats on Instagram for all food reviews and your next foodie adventure.

Being a Meat-Eater & proud carnivore, i had high hopes for this steakhouse.! The prices were UNBELIEVABLY high! But decided to give it a shot. The pros were: Ambiance was great. Got great seats next to the window. So it looked beautiful. Certain members of the staff were attentive They had halal options (but in steaks, nothing less than $100 minimum - wagyu!) The crisp crackers (in the bread plate) at the start were great! The Shrimp cocktail's SAUCE was delicious The lamb shank was good Cons: The waiter kept leaving and we never saw him for quite some time afterwards The bread was not good. At all! It was hard, cold and TWO pieces for FOUR PEOPLE For $5 i had about 3 sips of coke. :( and it wasn't even a standard size. It was smaller! The Wait time for food was unreasonable! We waited nearly TWO HOURS for our food once ordered. The place was almost completely empty and THEN our food came out. The steak i received was very undercooked. To the point that it was still cold and the fat was still white and barely cooked (I ordered medium. But recieved Half medium, and Half Rare :/ .. very odd!) The carpaccio was ok. Expected more. The best part (sarcasm): my spouse and i got Very Unwell! Immediately afterwards!! I don't think i need to dive into details and im sure we all know what that could be All in all, for $300, it was NOT worth the price and experience. And we will not be returning, nor recommending this place

Apart from being overpriced the pornography in the men's bathroom is neither tasteful nor appreciated.

It was a wonderful atmosphere with soft instrumental music and the ability to hear the conversation of people at your table. To start, there was toasted bread with feta cheese and dill pickles. The starter salad was a huge supper entree size plate. The choice wax garden or Cesar. You could get the French Onion soup instead. Had the main Filet Peppercorn sauce. Asked for medium rare and it was amazing but it had a little much gravy for my liking. The baked potato side was a nice side (not too big) which came with butter and sour cream versus having french fries. Veggies were a few string beans, a slice of a big carrot and a piece of red sweet pepper. The plating of such fine expensive entrees was not very sophisticated. Thought it would be plated much nicer than it did. The server was very friendly and helpful. Chefs were accommodating to special requests and the food was excellent. A nice, special occasions/ celebration restaurant. It is better than a chain restaurant.

The oysters were presented with perfect condiments of a hot sauce, a very nicely balanced horseradish preparation and a lovely vinegar based touch. I decided on the feature dish, which was a superbly prepared surf n' turf. This beautiful dish was a sight that immediately evoked a feeling of self-congratulation on realizing what I had "signed up for". One of the largest lobster tails I have ever seen was beautifully presented with the core of the lobster's exoskeleton, and immediately competed with the beautifully seared medallions of beef which were perfectly done. Incredibly flavourful, tender and the perfect complement to the lobster tail. The lobster was not just a sight to behold, it was plentiful in size, and had the beautifully distinct, rich, regal flavour and texture that only comes from something that is perfectly prepared. The gnocchi that was the third element was warm, al dente with a luscious cream sauce that was a delightfully heart-warming comfort food component. All perfectly balanced and a trio of triumph. The desert was an apple and spice cake topped with a delightfully delicate and scrumptious cookie that was the perfect topping, especially when the chocolate sauce revealed its true spirit! The wine was perfect, a lovely Cabernet from the Mendoza region of Argentina. The crowning touch to the evening was the dreamy music and singing provided by the extraordinarily talented and renowned Laura Fernandez. She was awarded the rare accolade of Steinway Pianist in Canada, for her ability to bring her artistry in song-writing and compassion to life. Her beautiful style on the piano, and her incomparable warmth and superb talent conspired with the fabulous offerings of Marquee to make the evening one to treasure. People stayed long after their beautiful dinner was finished, just to enjoy her beautiful presence. Congratulations to Marquee and Laura for a thoroughly enchanting evening!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was exactly what we dreamed of: cozy, intimate, and filled with such a beautiful, warm ambiance. The restaurant itself is honestly a piece of art, with intricate details in the flooring, walls, lighting, lamps, and artwork that are so thoughtfully designed. Every corner is stunning, and it created the most breathtaking setting for our special night. And the FOOD... wow. Absolutely out of this world. We had a variety of platters, and every single dish was exceptional, with perfect portions, perfectly cooked, beautifully balanced flavours, and everything served hot and fresh. It was hands down the best food we've ever had, and our guests are still talking about it. Truly unmatched. You will not find better food anywhere in the GTA. The service was just as amazing. The team was so accommodating with our family, incredibly attentive, warm, and kind, always there when needed but never overbearing. They made everything feel seamless from start to finish. The atmosphere throughout the evening was perfect, lively but never too loud, and the piano player added such a special touch. It elevated the entire experience and made the night feel even more magical. From the planning process all the way to the final moments of the evening, everything was flawless. Marquee delivered a 100000 out of 100 experience for us. If you're considering a wedding or special event, I cannot recommend Marquee Steakhouse & Piano Lounge enough. It was truly the perfect night, and we are so grateful to the entire team for making it unforgettable.

They even asked the sous chef to make sure the presentation was excellent; he didn't disappoint. Their menu changes seasonally. I ordered the following: 1. Coke ($). 2. Tempura Shrimp ($27). 3. Crispy Duck Leg Confit & Breast ($46). 4. Saskatoon Berry Cheesecake ($14). The Tempura Shrimp were tiger shrimp and were so plump, each about 1 inch diameter at the widest end! They were de-shelled and tempura battered. There were orange slices (orange), avocado slices (green), and chili slices (red), making the dish colourful. The Crispy Duck came with a leg and sliced breast portions. Accompanying them were tamarillo, sunchoke puree, bordelaise, dried kale chips, berry gastrique, and chopped candied pecans. All the ingredients worked well together, with mixtures of savoury and sweet tastes. The Cheesecake was amazing. The cheesecake itself was an upside-down half sphere. It was soft; I prefer that over the typical firm cake. There were miniature dried berries on top, along with a ruby chocolate sauce, and a sliced of dried red beet. Surrounding it was a soft marshmallow meringue which was lightly torched. The colour theme was red and white with a touch of dark blue. Daimon, the sous chef, plated everything expertly for me. There is plenty of indoor seating, of which one side has a view of the lake. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms. There is free street parking on weekends on a street running north of the restaurant. There is also a paid parking lot next to the restaurant. At the recommendation of the service staff, I ordered the Crab Cake Egg Benedict (lemon aïoli, boston lettuce, chive hollandaise), served for weekend brunch only. Similar to my previous meals here, the food had subtle layers of flavour that came together nicely with every bite. I tend to gravitate to food that I can't get at other restaurants. The server informed us that the meal was not served on brioche like the other Egg Benedict's, but I was still full with the side salad (yeh, no arugula). My husband ordered the side fries so his belly was full. There were two crab cakes with eggs, and plenty of crab inside. I was glad that I didn't taste fillers. Service was good and we sat at a table with a waterfront view. The Sloane tea and beverages were a pricey and small for what they were, hence one of the reasons I don't come here as frequently. Overall, I enjoy the food here.
