Bellini. Not the best version in town.
    Carolyn L.

I have been wanting to try this place for a few years as I drove past it often. Somehow there was no opportunity to do so until a couple of months ago. By then this pub has changed ownership and so the menu is different. There are Japanese food items on the menu now. We were there just for wings and a drink. I had the Bellini and it was certainly very different from the usual way it was made. It was more like a slush than a cocktail. The wings were on promo then at $0.39 each. The taste was ok and they were fairly small. It was busy when we were there. Tables were spaced apart and covid safety protocols were practiced. There was a buzzer if you required staff assistance. Not a fancy place, just a typical neighborhood pub. There is a decent size parking lot next to it. You can also park on the street.

Run of the mill neighbourhood pub. Looks like they've changed owners recently. New owners are Korean I think. Parking is available in a nice large lot next the building, which is really nice. The pub is split into a sports bar at the bottom, and a more British themed seating area at the top. Staff were friendly. I tried the wings special (39c until end of 2020). Sauces are $1 on top. The wings are on the smaller side. Reminds me of Woody's in Coquitlam. The one flavour that stuck out was garlic parmesan, which tastes exactly like it sounds. Took a quick look at the rest of the menu and interestingly enough, they also serve sushi (Korean style?) on top of the typical pub food. Guess I have to come back to try at some point.

Just finished up dinner and the three of us was still feeling a tad hungry. Long and behold a pub right across the street to quench our thirst and to fully satisfy our tummies! Place looks dated and the layout was a little unconventional. The main bar is located on the first floor with 7 bar stools and a couple of adjacent seating tables. Majority of seating tables is located on the second floor. A liquor store under the same owner is located next door to the pub. Our party ordered 30 wings (Salt n' Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and Honey Garlic) and a couple of beers and spirits. Wings were on special $0.39 / piece but quite small, no different from all other pubs around town. Pricing of their menu items is on par with the ambiance of the place. Happy Hour menu is available 3 - 6 PM daily. Wait staff were nice and our orders were brought to us in a timely matter. Two waitresses checked on us a couple of times to fill our waters and asked if everything was ok. Talked to one of them and confirmed the pub is under Korean new management for a couple of months. Free parking is available to it's partons in a large parking lot next to the pub.

The Japanese Hosts were very welcoming and I felt relaxed, safe and comfortable.I had not been here before but went because a friend lives near by.I had a beer and a cider plus French Fries with enough for two and very good. One star off for higher then expected pricing.Bathrooms were very clean as is the whole place,we sat upstairs.Big TV,Bar and friendly down to earth patrons.

We were fortunate enough to snag a tiny one by the pool tables but it wasn't big enough for food and drinks so we ended up moving before ordering food. We shared a small plate of nachos and a chicken wrap with fries. I don't recommend the guacamole, as it wasn't very fresh and just had a weird texture. The food was very average in my opinion. At least they have a decent beer list. They had karaoke and there was a steady stream of people waiting to take their turn on the microphone. Those folks were much braver than me, that's for sure. I love that they still have pull tab machines, those are always going to take some of my money, if for nothing else but the nostalgia. I ended up winning a few bucks, so that added to the overall positive experience. Service was ok - there seemed to be a bit of confusion over who our server was, but once that was resolved, we had no issues. It was fairly loud but not so much that we couldn't still carry on a conversation. I'd probably go back, because there are not too many places in the area that still have a pool table.

I thought, "There has got to be a pub nearby which will by default carry that game, right?" Well, yes, that's technically correct, although it took me about a two kilometer walk from the Element Vancouver to find one. Once there, I was a tad surprised the place wasn't hopping - maybe a dozen or so other patrons. Which was too bad, because the service was friendly, the beer hit the spot, and my veggie burger kept me going through the rest of the night. Would return the next time I visit the area.

There's free parking outside, just register your license plate when you enter the building. I went with 2 other friends on a Saturday night. The place was pretty full but we got lucky and only had wait a few minutes for a table. It was decently loud inside but it was still easy to have a conversation. The waitress we got was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. I'm also super envious of her memory because there's no way I can remember who had which drink without writing it down for so many tables throughout the night!!! My friend also asked for a drink recommendation for the last round and she gave a great one. There's a lot of selection for drinks, as well as food. I really like their shared plates of finger food like tater tots and onion rings. My fish and chips were also very good. The table beside us ordered nachos and it looked huge and very delicious.

Aside from the time warp location, the food is easily 4*s, and honestly, I'd say it's better than White Spot as a comparable. The clubhouse sandwich contained actual turkey breast, not the deli turkey breast slices a lot of places use. That's an easy win right there. Very reasonable pricing to boot! It's basically a sports bar/pub grub menu set up. Pool tables as well. Lighting is on the darker side, with friendly and courteous service. They chat with you since they're curious as to how you know about the place. It's definitely not on too many peoples' radar for sure. They seem to like their hockey, as there are a couple of jerseys hanging. Guy Lafleur, Paul Henderson's autographed jersey from the Summit Series 1972, and a couple of others. Located in the basement of the Lougheed Village Mall, which is literally the Land that Time Forgot. I'm not exaggerating. Come and have a look for yourself. Free validated parking if you eat here. Recommend that you go for a stroll in the upper and lower levels and the courtyard whilst you're here. Maybe come in the evening during Halloween. You won't need to spook yourself out at a graveyard. This mall will suffice you plenty.

Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!
