Stopped in right before a show at the Charleston Music Hall (literally next door) and was genuinely impressed by both the selection and the historical character of this shop. It's the kind of place you don't expect to find such depth and quality if you're just popping in quickly but I ended up spending more time than planned because everything was so well curated.
I picked up a stainless steel tea infuser pipe and a pretty serious lineup of teas: Jasmine, Earl Grey, Ginger Peach, Irish Breakfast, Darjeeling, Masala Chai, Peach Sun Tea, plus cacao cinnamon tea bags. Every tin was beautifully packaged and clearly labeled, and the variety alone was impressive from classic black teas to more unique blends.
What really stood out, though, was the customer experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the products, happy to explain the differences between teas and make recommendations without any pressure. You can tell they care about both the history of tea and helping customers find something they'll actually enjoy.
If you're heading to a show at the Music Hall or just walking around downtown, this is absolutely worth the stop. Great products, great people, and a shop that feels like part of Charleston's character rather than just another retail spot. I'll definitely be back read more
