Can't say enough great things about the staff at this location! My Oliver Peoples sunglasses had lost a screw and I had previously taken it to my local optometrist for a temporary fix. I happened to be in the area and dropped in to see if Oliver Peoples could fix it properly, and they spent the time and care to look into it. They had to keep it for a few days so that they could properly reshape the screw opening back into place as it was slightly damaged by my optometrist. Happy to report it now fits like a charm and is tightly screwed back together properly. They even graciously Fed Ex'ed it back to me carefully packaged and wrapped as I don't live in the local area, all without charging a dime. There's a reason to pay an extra penny for this brand! I just don't know where to start my friend has talked about this place for years. So my friend and I walked in Sunday June 27th around 3ish one of the workers was helping a couple and the other guy/ trans asked if I needed any help I told him I was looking For sunglasses as I was trying the frames he was following me and banging them back in place i then said to him I was sorry and would place them back wait...shouldn't they be sanitized ? As I made my way by the cashier area I could hear him/she saying how fed up he/ she was not placing frames back. It is it his job to sanitize and place the frames back? Very impressive, architecturally- designed store. Lucy Y. and I were wandering around the Mart, and I decided I needed a pair of sunglasses. Rudy was very helpful, and helped me to find what was right for me. The store is very well organized, you can see all the products very easily, and there are mirrors all over the place. With Lucy Y's approval, I bought a pair of aviator grey-lens wire frame sunglasses ($350) and oh, don't I just feel cool?? This place is in the Malibu Country Mart and, except on weekends, there is pretty good parking. If you come on a weekend, come early. read more

Great Optical Shop I went in and gave them my Rx and they made my glasses only to find out my eye doctor gave me the wrong Rx. Oliver Peoples Store manager said they would call my Eye Doctor and get correct Rx and had the lens remade at no charge. It was not there fault but took care of it. I highly recommend this location. I have been coming here for over 10 years. I have had to wear prescription glasses for over 40 years. So I have been to a lot of optical shops. This one is by far the best I've ever been too!!! All the other optical shops, regardless of the price range, never seemed to get my prescription lenses right. And I had heard of a report done several years ago, that said a majority of optical shops get the prescriptions wrong most of the time. Which I definitely experienced. I just happened to come in to the Oliver Peoples Malibu Store on a whim. Thinking I might buy a pair of glasses but then would take them elsewhere for prescription lenses. I was so impressed with their customer service that I decided to let them do the lenses also. They were perfect! 20 pairs later and I am still impressed!! My latest incredible experience was with David. He saw me standing outside the shop as it was before their opening time. I was 20 minutes early due to an inaccurate opening time on google maps. But he saw me and opened up early!!!! I was going to order some new lenses for a new pair of glasses since my old ones had just broken. I had only bought lenses for the broken pair (the frames were over 7 years old and not Oliver peoples) 4 months ago and was frustrated that I had thrown $300 out the window. Luckily my new frames were very similar in size to my old ones and much to my delight he was able to fit the old lenses into the new frame!!!!! David is a very skilled, kind and caring optician. He didn't even charge me to do the swap!!! I am so grateful. He saved me $300 and I was able to walk out with my new glasses without waiting a couple of weeks for new lenses to be made!! The staff is always lovely when I come in! I noticed that my sunglasses were bent and called beforehand to see if they could fix them for me. They were extremely polite and told me there wouldn't be a problem and to just come on in! Upon arriving, i was greeted with a warm smile and was helped by Westley. I have to say Frank's review is baffling and certainly not anywhere close to any of the experiences I have had. Do not let his review deter you from the great experience you can have at the store. Compared to the other reviews it would seem Frank had some personal issues to resolve with his interaction with Alan. Alan and Oliver Peoples Malibu are amazing and fantastic. They go over and above to care for their clients and non-clients always. Even if you have not bought anything directly from the store they treat YOU like gold and will fix your glasses from putting in a screw to adjustments. Amazing customer service in this day and age. Wow! This is "thee" one and only place to buy sunglasses!!! Aside from the cool architecturally designed store and large selection of quality frames and lenses, the customer service is impeccable!!! One person in particular, LIVIA was/is amazing!!! She helped me on two separate occasions. First, she spend almost an hour with me selected the perfect pair of sunglasses; and when I returned a few weeks later, Livia then spent a considerable amount of time with me making sure the glasses fit perfectly. No matter how many times I asked for various tiny adjustments, Livia was extremely patient, friendly, accommodating and worked tirelessly to make sure I was completely satisfied. Used to wear Oliver people's as my go to prescription glasses. My glasses were falling apart, and there was no where open at the time while walking around Malibu Country Mart. I knocked on their window asking if I could use one of their screwdriver tools, and Mr. Alan kindly offered to screw them back tight for me. Allen is an incredibly kind, communicative and knowledge store manager who truly converted me into a life long fan of this brand. He also did me a kindness by laughing at my jokes. Oliver Peoples is so lucky to have him. I stopped by today on a whim after a hike on my way back to the city. He helped me find a pair of rx glasses that I'm in love with within minutes based off of almost no useful information on my part. He also recommended these incredible sunglass clips. This place is awesome. We went in yesterday when we were running some errands for our Christmas dinner in the shopping center that it's in. The guy working there was pretty cool - very relaxed and absolutely no pressure sales. We tried on a ton of their awesome glasses and he even opened a bottle of white wine for us to drink while we browsed. He also gave us some cool CDs that he had before we left. I fell in love with some sexy librarian frames but they're over $300 so I have to sleep on it. They also have a ton of nice sunglasses that aren't quite as expensive. Great Product, but.....Fantastic Service!!!!! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Allen and the team. They were patient and helpful for at least an hour while we tried on almost every pair of frames they had. They even let my wife put her iPhone in the fridge when it overheated!! Allen was the resident sunglass guru, and he patiently disseminated everything I would ever need to know about sunglass lenses. Once we found the perfect combination of frames and lenses, Allen noted that the right lens was loose. (Which he didn't have to do because I probably wouldn't have noticed until it fell out.) However, not wanting to spoil our Saturday drive up the PCH, he insisted I take the sunglasses, enjoy them, and not worry about scratching the loose lens if it fell out. He said to send them back in when it was convenient for me and they would replace the lenses. Which they did with no hassle whatsoever!!! Allen even remembered me!!! Thanks Allen!!!!
