As someone who spends a lot of time at hotels, I rarely like to eat at the hotel restaurants as they're often boring and overpriced. But when I heard there was a middle eastern spot at this Hilton, I was intrigued and had to stop by. And safe to say I was impressed. The food was fantastic, offering lots of interesting middle eastern fusion options. The mezze options, particularly the hummus and baba ganoush, are an absolute must. The breads that include the mezze are very intricate and tasty too. For the main, I got the half chicken with sweet potato fries. Very tasty and filling! And finally, the baklava was one of the better ones I've had in the states. The service was yet another cherry on top. Katrina was a wonderful server who gave me lots of great recommendations. Katrina and the rest of the staff were very attentive and kind, and I think they they represent the restaurant very well. Altogether, worth stopping by here if you're staying at the Hilton or nearby. Had a wonderful breakfast. It's isn't cheap though. $33 for full bfast and $20 for continental. They let kids eat free and there is a kid zone with mini pancakes, and waffles and lots of fruit. Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. The location and the view are beautiful. We parked in the lot across the street and paid for parking but then later saw they do have free valet in the front. It seemed they don't already have tables outside set up so we had to wait a little bit for them to set up the outside table for us. The hostess was not the friendliest. Our server was great. However, the restaurant really needs to get it together. Several items we attempted to order from the menu were not available. When ordering a bottle of wine, none of the white wine on the menu was available. The food we ordered was very good. We got the goat cheese and date pizza, chicken skewer, and the three dip appetizer with bread and pita. We had hummus, warm feta, and tzatziki. Overall, not sure I would try it again. read more

I also got the the Falafel but I found it over-fried, crunchy and dry. I asked the waiter if it is supposed to be that way, and he said yes - so be warned. My husband got the half a chicken which he really likes - moist and flavorful. It has mashed potatoes. Drinks are $17 and strong, good. Olive and Sea in was an easy five star experience. We were originally near the hotel and saw that parking was $40 but thankfully the restaurant was to side, closer to the water. Parking was valet only but complimentary. Wr didn't asked to sit outside with the water views but they sat us at a beautiful table. Vibes were great 10/10. We ordered all gluten free dishes including the broccolini, sweet potatoes and hummus, tuna crudo with gluten free naan, skewers (pork belly) and everything was absolutely delicious. The quality and flavors were amazing across the board. Our server was also incredibly accommodating and even helped arrange a gluten free fruit bowl dessert for us. We were here on a Friday night. We had reservations and table was available immediately. They gave us the option of inside or outside seating, as the nights are now cool, we opted for outside. They had a company Christmas party that same night and half the exterior area was reserved for that, and it seems the service too, as drinks and food took longer that expected to come out. Our server (I wish I remember her name) was excellent. She kept apologizing for the wait and checking on us when she could. We had made the reservation with the note of a birthday celebration but, she also noticed us talking about my wedding and acknowledge that celebration. Since the drinks were taking long to come out, we ordered appetizers right away, to try and get those faster. A spread/ dip trio with tzatziki, hummus and olives, which came with assorted breads. The crispy pita salad and the tuna crudo. All were delicious but my favorite was the crudo, could have ordered a second one. For the entrees we had mixed reviews, two of them ordered the short rib pasta and liked it but, my friend who ordered the skewer wasn't impressed, and the half chicken was good but can't say amazing. The breast was dry. But they redeemed themselves again with dessert. The baklava was too sweet for my taste, but the chocolate cake is a must try. I need to mention again our server, because she gets 5 stars, but based on the overall experience have to give Olive and Sea 4 stars. Oh, and Mathew, from valet, also gets 5 stars. I am writing this to express my deep disappointment with the service--or lack thereof--we received at Olive & Sea. While the setting is lovely, our experience was marred by a complete lack of accommodation and awareness regarding service animal regulations. Despite being a party that included a pregnant woman, a toddler, and a teenager, we were asked to stand up and leave after already being seated at an outdoor table. Our service dog is fully trained and was behaving perfectly, yet we were told that the restaurant's "policy" does not allow dogs. There are a few reasons why this was particularly distressing: * Lack of Communication: There was no signage or policy posted at the entrance regarding animals. * Physical Strain: Making a pregnant woman and young children vacate a table and leave the premises after settling in is, at best, insensitive. * Legal Compliance: Under the ADA, service animals are not "pets" and should be accommodated, especially in outdoor seating areas. We were looking forward to a nice family meal, but instead, we were met with an inflexible policy that felt discriminatory. I hope management takes the time to train their staff on ADA guidelines and hospitality basics so that no other family especially those with young children or health considerations has to experience this. read more

Your happy hour oasis by the marina! Came to Olive & Sea while staying at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. Ordered the Smoked Salmon & Braised Short Rib happy hour pizzas which were both delicious. I'd highly recommend them. Also a delicious Espresso Martini with Reposado was made by Juan which was one of the best versions I've had in awhile. Both delicious. The views of the marina are bar none and there is more than ample seating. Located at the Hilton Marina I wonder how many truly know about this gem. I would highly recommend! read more

We also had the crispy pita salad, the Village Table, with the most delicious sides of charred broccolini, spiced butternut squash and za'tar fries! Great meal, lots of flavorful and tasty food! Taking time away from the event for a nice dinner can be difficult. Busy all day from before the sun comes up till after the sun sets. Normally, most would simply head back to the hotel and flop in bed. However, once the event is over, you really don't care how tired you are or how sticky you may be from the humidity. A nice dinner is your reward for making it thru the week still walking and breathing. The treat, Olive & Sea! They are located in the Hilton hotel along the waterfront on the second level and have a private entrance and valet available. We started with the Crispy Pita Salad. Amazing! It has a light dressing that perfectly dresses the greens. The pita chips offer a great crunchy contrast to any bite. Julie enjoyed the faroe island salmon that was served on a bed of orzo. I tried the half roasted chicken. Each was prepared perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The chicken melted off the bone yet each bite was tender and moist. After sunset, the views are spectacular with shimmering lights from across the water shining down. We were disappointed that an automatic 20% service fee is applied to every check. The food was okay, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Unfortunately, the service really fell short. Despite there being plenty of open tables, our waiter kept rushing us through the meal for no clear reason, which took away from what should've been a relaxed dinner catching up with a friend. Overall, it's a nice spot for the scenery, but between the average food and rushed service, it didn't quite live up to expectations. A solid 3-star experience. read more

I made a reservation via their website (open table link) for a 5pm seating and put outdoors in my request. Upon arrival in the parking lot, we went sure where to park so I asked the hotel valet and they pointed out that the restaurant valet was just east of their entrance so we did a quick turnaround and sure enough there it was. Imagine my surprise when they told me it was free! We handed over the keys and made our way to the doors - and then to the elevator to the 2nd floor which opens up right to the restaurant lobby - We were seated promptly at a great table with a beautiful view! Our server was very nice - For the life of me, I can't remember her name but I believe it was something like Elena? She took our drink order and a few minutes later our appetizer order - We continued to enjoy our meal, ordering add'l drinks and our entrees. Apps Charred Octopus - he enjoyed but said it was a bit dry Halloumi - delish dips and cracker bread - very good Entrees Faroed Salmon with orzo - he liked this a lot Fried Artichokes - so good - This is an app but I had it as my meal with a side of the Za'atar fries Za'atar Fried - these were so good! I'm not from this area, so the standards are a little different. I come from a county with so many good Greek and Mediterranean restaurants. Even casual chain restaurants back home make decent skewers (kebabs). Olive and Sea has a nice ambiance. It looks more upscale. The staff are very courteous. Food is a little pricey so I recommend stopping by during happy hour if you're looking for value. I tried their $72 prime rib during dinner and it fell short in terms of the doneness that my guest asked for. It was also tougher than expected, to the point that other family members at the table offered to trade their entree to help that guest out. It's located in the Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina. Convenient to eat at if you're staying at this hotel. Their happy hour menu is decent and the happy hour prices are acceptable. read more
