Most recently, I booked a 60-minute Swedish massage, and it was excellent from start to finish. Inspire Spa is conveniently located on College Avenue, though it's somewhat discreet and easy to miss if you're not specifically looking for it. Once inside, you're welcomed into a clean, well-appointed lobby that immediately sets a relaxing tone. Before your treatment begins, you can choose from several complimentary enhancements, including a variety of aromatic sprays, which is a nice touch. The treatment rooms are thoughtfully designed, with comfortable lighting, minimal clutter, relaxing music at just the right volume, and temperature-controlled massage tables that can be adjusted to your preference. Kameron was attentive, professional, and highly skilled. She took the time to focus on the areas where I was experiencing the most pain and tension and adjusted her technique accordingly. What stood out most was that she truly delivered a full 60-minute massage, which unfortunately isn't always the case at other establishments. You'll certainly find less expensive massage options in the Appleton area, but in my experience, Inspire Spa stands out for both the quality of the massage and the overall customer experience. I highly recommend both Inspire Spa and Kameron to anyone looking for a high-quality massage experience.

Atmosphere: Parking is a wee bit tricky and you usually have to pay for it so bring change :) They are located on the second floor of the building. The reception area is really well lit and the reception desk is to the right immediately when you walk in. It has always been very clean in here. Service: Staff is friendly and prompt. The receptionist both times has been pleasant, professional and helpful. If I have a couple extra $$$ laying around from a paycheck I like to spend it here and enjoy a good massage.

During my pedicure, the nail tech commented on my hairy legs even after I apologized. It's winter in Wisconsin; it happens. Then, when clipping my toenails, I apologized again since I don't get routine pedicures, and she commented about how long they were as well. It made the entire service feel uncomfortable and judgmental. When I moved on to my manicure, the tech (I didn't catch their name) accidentally cut my finger and it started bleeding. I included a photo. By that point, I honestly just wanted the appointment to be over. I hated my experience that was suppose to be relaxing. The total was $135 before tip, which is significantly higher than what I usually pay in Appleton ($90 for the same basic manicure and pedicure). For what I received, it felt overpriced. I wasn't asking for anything complicated--just simple colors, no designs, nothing extra. Overall, I left feeling like an inconvenience rather than a customer. I'm not a picky person, but based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this salon, 0/5 stars.

Very Disappointing Experience -- Girl to girl, if you're thinking about getting a balayage, READ!…read moreSpent $250 Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. My appointment was at 12 PM (I arrived at 11:30 AM), and I did not leave until 4:15 PM. The four-hour appointment itself was not the issue; it was the way my hair was handled, the lack of communication and confidence throughout the service, and ultimately, the final result. My hair was pulled aggressively throughout the entire appointment during washing, combing, and coloring. I wish I could say this only happened once, but it continued throughout the entire session. I tried to make it noticeable that it was hurting, but it continued, including aggressively combing through my hair while dye/toner was in it and pulling my hair while shampooing. It was extremely uncomfortable and, at most times, painful. I requested a balayage refresh, but my hair looks very similar to how it did when I arrived, aside from my ends being more blonde. My roots still look grown out. I understand that balayage does not cover the entire root, but I expected the overall color to look refreshed, blended, and intentional. I was also asked questions, as a client, about the toner and color process that I would expect a stylist to be confident in answering. If a stylist is unsure, I believe it is completely reasonable--and preferable--to consult with a more experienced stylist before proceeding. However, throughout my entire appointment, my stylist did not consult with anyone, even when other stylists asked her how things were going. There was a serious lack of communication throughout the appointment, and the communication that did happen was very concerning. For example, at one point, instead of simply telling me that she needed me to sit up or move forward, she would just push my back to move me without saying a word. As a client, that made me feel very uncomfortable. I understand that newer stylists need opportunities to grow, but clients should still feel confident that their hair is being handled professionally and that appropriate support is being utilized when needed. (The other stylist who I did not have and the only other one at the salon, she had a client with the same balayage request as me, in at 12:30pm out at 3:15pm, and you could visibly see how happy she made her clients. Her client also had three times the length of my hair. The stylist even handled a hair cut and another client all in the time of my one service) I left after four hours feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, and unfortunately, I am not happy with the final result. This was not the level of service or outcome I expected. I have visited other NewStyle/Modern Elegance Salons for many of years and this is my first negative location. All to waste $250.
