They said they would hold our items for three months and if not collected, they would throw them out. After not recieving any type of email for two months, my boyfriend drove all the way from abbotsford to this shop to pick up the art that we had created as he wanted to surpise me with it. Once he went into the shop, he dicovered that our art was not there anymore, they had lost it or thrown it out. This is so sad as they were a pretty expensive price as well i would say so. I am so dissapointed as this was something very special for us and it has been completely ruined. So i would reccomend you go to a more professional place where they dont throw away your things and actually email you when your art is ready. I would give this a 0 star review if i could.

All you need to provide is food and she does the rest! We didn't even need to bring plates or cups! It was far and away the easiest party for me as a mom ever. No cleaning the house before, trying to round up the right treats for the goody bags, find the right decorations, all of which is just that much more of a hassle on island anyway. And no clean up after, just grab the leftovers and presents and balloons (the birthday kid gets a whole bouquet!) and that's it.

The shop is well lit and the art pieces spaced out so you could actually view things. The shopkeeper was super friendly and told me about the artist when I inquired about the pieces I was interested in. Then it was just up to deciding which one I wanted. My husband and I left to go to the bakery across the way so I could think it over and there was no sales pressure to purchase just friendly information and pleasant small talk about where we were staying on the island and the artist's process I was inquiring on. I'm not sure why other reviewers were so judgmental on it. There are several galleries and shops with various different artists about and they all just have different pieces to peruse with different price points. As long as the person purchasing it is fine paying it who cares. I'm personally happy to support such a shop and the artists they are in turn supporting. All I can think of is that they are old reviews. The gallery I went to is right in Eastsound on the main street right across from Brown Bear Bakery.

This is just a tiny slip of a shop that sells authentic native American objects and art. It's a sort of place that's fun and small enough to allow you to examine everything they have. To boot, the owners, Gary and his wife Hannah are wonderful people. If you have the time and you're there, when Gary is manning the store, he will share knowledge and history of the Lakota Tribe. I love going in here! Last time I purchased a Lakota warrior breast plate made by Gary himself. It's just beautiful.
